Soap Powder..bring It Or Buy It There???

Since most of us with week long trips or longer have to do laundry during our stay, thought i would ask this question Do you pack your detergent and bring it or buy it there??

I have been taking the Tide detergent tablets with us for our trips and that has worked well for me as they go into suitcases so easily even to fly. Just wondered what everyone else does is all....

We packed the Wisk tablets, and I was glad we did--it saved us some money. Not sure if you stay in a room with its own washer/dryer, but we were at the All Stars and laundry was $6 per load, so any money saved on detergent was welcome! I also brought a ziploc bag of Bounce sheets.

I too had to buy the stuff there and it was VERY expensive, I didn't even THINK I would need to do laundry. This time I will be better prepared. I gave dh the tablets for his military stay and he loved them, and they are small which is also a plus!

I bought a travel-size box of Tide at Target (near the other Travel-sized stuff). The box says it will do four loads -- probably more, since I never use as much soap as the box says. Cost was $1.50. I understand the cost for a box of laundry soap at CbM is $1.50 for 1 load.

I also take my own dryer sheets.

I definately BUY my soap! if you don't want to spend the money on property...just to go the nearby Walmart or that type of store and get what you think you'll need for your stay. I like to do my laundry on a quiet night when everyone is too tired to be bothered.

I bring tablets, dryer sheets, stain stick, and those stain/dye sheets for the washer.

Don't forget to bring a roll or 2 of quarters.....the worst feeling is to get all the clothes seperated, load the machine and BAM the change machine doesn't work!
