Got on pajammatam's scale this morn. Havent lost in a few wks but didnt gain over our last mini-vaca. 10 more Magic cruisings and we WILL be on it so those last 4lbs have to come off now!
Walked 10x's around the gerbil track this morn, mowed for an hour, took DS hiking in Purgatory Chasm, then went blueberry picking w/pajammatam. (Ate about 2lbs! but not much else today) Still need to get out (after I see the Magic set off at 5pm) and finish another 20x's around the gerbil track.
Well finished another 11x's around the gerbil track but I did venture outside the neighborhood w/other neighbors and walked another 40mins w/them
(and yes Kath - another 10.5wks - so either I loose it now at lb/wk and then maintain for 5wks knowing I made it - or I loose .5lb for the next 8wks - I rarely get this much exercise - I was just on a roll today - needed to rededicate myself)

Boy, just reading your post made me tired! I wouldn't be surprised if you'd lost at least 10 pounds after all that! You can do it!

I hope you shed those last few pounds before your cruise but more importantly, I hope you keep them off after your cruise. Losing the last few pounds very slowly is part of succeeding at keeping the weight off. Let's see...your cruise is the second week of November, right? That's about 10 weeks from now. If you lose .5 pounds a week you should lose that last 4 pounds slowly and be at goal in time for your trip.
Then your mission will be to stay at goal or very close to it :) You should be able to do that easily.
You could easily lose those last 4 pounds before your cruise.
OR you may never lose them....
But you might get smaller! Are you ready for this to be a lifetime change of eating/exercising? :) I know you are getting compliments right and left, and that is a great thing!!!!
Please don't live or die by the scale!!! Just feel good in the skin/clothes that you are in. You have done a GREAT job in making healthy choices, there will be times that you a have drink or meal that isn't that "heart healthy" (OR WHATEVER) but that's life. As long as you are committed to exercise and you are choosing berries over ice cream, you are doing great!!!!
Hang in there and remember the scale is just a nice guide!!!

good words of advice to you - not much to add :)
what oh what is a gerbil track?? ;)
Barb, you are so committed to this that I just can't see how you'll not lose that weight before your cruise. BUT, even if you don't, you will go and have a fabulous time and enjoy the vacation part of it! Remember, we are not allow to beat ourselves up or dwell on the past, it's in the WISH by-laws, or so I've been told!
Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you're like me you have a hard time accepting and acknowledging that your hard work has paid off and you are walking proof of it. It's ok to enjoy the rewards you have so definately earned, let yourself be ok with how you look now. I'm about 5 lbs from my goal and I go from thinking how come I haven't lost it yet, why do I self-destruct and cheat and just slow myself down -- to it's ok I'm so close to my goal that really 5 lbs isn't going to make that much more of a difference. It's good to start liking my body again and quit being so hard on myself.
No matter what the scale says the morning of your departure you will have a fantastic trip! that's what matters!!
ps - I saw your cruise thread on packing different sizes and I plan on packing my loosest pair of jeans for the return trip home, but I definately won't hang onto anything too big for that purpose! I get rid of all clothes getting baggy and too big - no crutches here!
