Quick DC reservations question

I've read that you can choose a reservation time (window) at Discovery Cove, but on their web site when the options page came up the only option to check off was between 9 am and 5 pm. That's a big window. Is this because it's off season or maybe the park is getting full that day and we will be squeezed in somewhere? Thanks for any help!

When we went to DC in July, we arrived right around 8am and were assigned a dolphin swim time for 8:45am. I didn't ask to have it changed since I wanted a morning swim (as opposed to afternoons when there's a big chance of thunderstorms--which DID happen the day we were there) I would just say get there as early as you can......when we checked in right at 8am, there were already several people ahead of us! Word of advice though: during the rest of the day at DC, we witnessed 4 or 5 times where someone in a family was getting yelled at by someone else in their family "where were you? we missed our time!!!" It's such a neat place and you really do get involved finding fish.......easy to forget to keep track of time! Have a great time!
