Amtrak station -Kissimmee or Orlando

We are taking Amtrak down - is the Orlando station better or the Kissimee one? We are staying at the WL.

One selling feature of the Orlando station is that there is a Hertz counter there and we can get our rental car right there.

I thought that the Amtrak train stops at Sanford, Fla.,
located about 15-20 minutes northeast of Orlando.

I have good and bad comments about Amtrak. Yes,
you do get there as fast (if not faster) than driving. But,
unless you get a cabin, it is not too comfortable (al-
though I imagine it is more comfortable than sitting be-
hind the wheel of a car for 10 hrs. or more - believe
me , I know firsthand because we drove from NJ to
WDW in 19 hrs. and it was no day in the park!):D

being mentioned before at several points so you can try doing a "search" and see what comes up because I know I definitely recall someone discussing taking the train into Orlando and Kissimmee in the past.

Sorry, I don't have any info. or experience of any kind to offer; but I am bumping this up even further so hopefully someone will see this and reply with whatever they may know or have.

Hi,
When we took Amtrak from NY Penn Station, we got off at the Orlando train station. The Kissimmee station is supposed to be closer to Disney World, but we liked getting off the train sooner and you need to travel about 20-25 more minutes to the Kissimmee station. Hope this helps!:D
