we recieved travel voucher from AA and they expire one year from issue. does anyone know if that date is for purchase or travel must be completed by that date?

Some airlines require that travel be completed by that date and others require only ticketing by that date. If it is not clearly stated on the voucher, then call American and ask them because policies like this can change.

Also, bump vouchers may not have the same rules as vouchers issued when a fare lowers.

these vouchers were for customer service compaint.

the one I have states that expires one year from date of issue as shown above. that means the tkt must be issued by that date.
if its for all travel to be completed from the date of issue ti would say it on the voucher. if its for a free round trip tkt then it could also be restricted to the days of travel as well. it should say that on the front of the voucher itself.

Thanks for the help. My vouchers just say valid for 1 year from date of issue and they are transportation voucher exchange coupons. I guess they are coupons which are bing used prior to date of expiration but my travel date isn't untill after they expire. There isn't anything on them that states transportation must be completed by.
