Which hotel would be best for our family?

We will be in Florida from 2/13-2/23. We will be splitting our time between WDW and Universal/IOA. We have reservations at CBR from 2/13-2/19 and HRH for 2/20-2/22.

I'm wondering if I chose the best Universal Hotel (DS's will be 14 and 11). I thought the HRH would be "cool", but really just need to know which hotel is perhaps best suited to families.

You can't go wrong with either the Portofino or HRH. Either one is a great family hotel. My teen dd and I stayed at the HRH in April, after staying at the CBR or 4 nites. She loved the HRH much better than the CBR.

I'd definitely say HRH. Portofino was very quiet when we went there around 9:00 and looked around. The main pool closed at 8:00 - at HRH it's open until 10:00.

HRH is awesome for teens and pre teens. I went with my two sons and they LOVED it. The hotel is really fun, the pool is great and it is within easy walking distance of IOA, US and City walk. They gave us a CD when we checked in. The Sunset Grill had awesome breakfasts, too. You will love it. Plus, the FOTL access was priceless.

Okay guys, you've convinced me. I guess I just needed a little bit of reassurance. I'm going to keep our reservations at HRH. From what I hear and read, and from what all of you have said, it definitely sounds like my boys will love it (as will DH and I).

I can't wait until February!!! Now, I just hope there is a discount available by then so I don't have to pay the full shot ;) I'll keep checking back here, and at the hotel.
