Of the month, I mean. I was true to my points and I gained 1.4 points this week. I didn't understand it. Could menstral cycle really make you fluctuate that much?

What has been your experiences?

I would say you are lucky it was only 1.4. :)

I can gain a significant amount around TOM due to water retention...it also doesn't help that I crave salty foods a few days before. My average gain is probably around 1.5 - 2 pounds but it has been as high as 4-5 pounds!!!

The good thing is that with lots of water drinking it usually goes away just as fast as it showed up.

Oh boy, I could write a book about that!!

Yes, TOM really will make you fluctuate!! Unfortunately that nasty old Bloat Fairy likes to visit during TOM. Last week I lost 4 lbs according to my scale, but on Monday (my WW weigh in day) I got up, had started TOM and all four of those pounds were back!
:( Like you, I had stayed within my points each day. This morning I checked and 2 of those water pounds were gone. So hang in there! Sometimes the Whoosh Fairy visits after tom and you will lose a big amount in one week.

PD is coming your way for a good weigh in next time :D

I just don't plan on losing anything for about 7 to 10 days...lol.

My weight still fluctuates terribly, even after almost 30 pounds off. Drops like crazy afterward...but before/during, I don't even get on the scale!

I did at first, when I first started Atkins, but now that I am in my 4th month of it, I don't...I think it is because when it is that TOM, I haven't had chocolate in so long that I actually crave it sometimes...then of course, I try a couple of the Russell Stover Peppermint Patties and I stall myself! Someday I will learn! LOL

It's wierd...some months I do and some I don't. What's even wierder is I'll generally have my largest weight loss of the month, the week after my TOM. I have never been able to figure that one out.

Your support is very helpful. I am eating so much on WW, so I find it hard to think I am on a diet (life plan). My first week, I lost 7 lbs., my second with TOM, I gained 1.4. I am trying very hard, to only have WW weigh me on Tuesdays.

I will check back with everyone on Tuesday afternoon, to let you know if it was the big TOM that stalled me or if it was something else.

I hope to see less of you and I hope you will see less of me! ;)

I usually gain between 7-10lbs. So I decided to only weigh myself once a month, this way I don't have to stand on the scale a see that I've gained 10lbs!!

I tend to gain the 2 weeks leading up to it. Then I lose the week of and the week following. So I have 2 good weeks then 2 bad weeks.

Hopefully this explains my stall in losing.........I'm so frustrated. Stephen has lost 15+ pounds and I'm still stuck at 5 :(

I definately gain during my TOM. I am hoping that my TOM bloat disappears before next Monday's WI.

I am hoping that the TOM is why I am shoing a slight gain/no loss for this week. I hope it's not because I added points by starting the FLEX POINTS program with WW's.

Wishing that all our TOM bloat weight just Whoosh's away!

Where are yo bloat fairy!

Now, it's one thing to have to have TOM but to have to gain weight (as much as 10 lbs.) is really not fair!

Men get to veg out and we get out TOM!
