Has anyone ever added on the Silver package? I am looking at options to pre-pay some food for my parents for our Nov. trip. I have looked at the Connections vouchers and they may be the right answer, but would like to compare those to the Silver package. Any thoughts? Which is easier to use? Is one a much better deal? Easier is more important than saving 1 or 2 dollars but I don't want to overpay either. Thanks!:)

If you use the Silver Plan's "Magical Wishes" very carefully, you can come out ahead. I have a whole new section on my site that lists the "high value" options for using your wishes.

It is not worthwhile unless you "spend" the wishes selectively, however. You're paying $34 for each adult wish, so you need to get that much value out of them.

Mary, I just got done reading the article and that was very helpful. Our family will be doing the Silver Add On deal in November with a 5 yo. I guess we will mostly buy his meal and use the wishes for DH and I. Thanks for the tip!!

Thank-you for the reply. Is there a write-up about the Silver plan somewhere here or at Mousesavers? I looked last night but could not find anything. At $34 that is not much more than the Lunch vouchers at $30 and I don't have to join anything so that will be a savings. I will need to learn more about what the wishes can be used for. Thank-you!:)

I think I can answer my own question now! On the resort board there is a great thread by Janet (I have no idea how to post a link). Anyway she explains everything in detail. For us this plan will not be cost effective since we have a 3 year old who dosen't eat enough to keep a bird alive. We also wanted to do several Character Meals and they are less than $33.50 each. At least with Connections or Florida Tickets I can pre-pay some meals and have some flexability. Thanks for helping me think this through!:)
