Has anyone bought Sizzix items from Ebay?

I was just on Ebay and there were some Buy It Now for the Sizzix Fun Serif for $75.00 and $85.00. Am I crazy or is this a deal? When I looked at Michaels the other day the uppercase was $159.99. I think I might be doing some shopping on Ebay.

I bought all my alphabet sets from ebay and am very happy with my purchases. Before bidding though, I figured out how much it would cost at Michael's using a coupon and with sales tax. That helped me determine the max I would pay. From that number I subtracted posted shipping charges to come up with the max I would bid.

I got my alphabet from ebay, too. I did the same math as Robin.

I bought my alphabet set from ebay for $71- that was the price including shipping...that's less than what it would be at Michael's with the 50% off coupon!

R these alpha sets brand new when you purchase them from e-bay or are they used?

I am curious now that I am going to buy a Sizzix.

Mine was new in box- it was the lollipop font.

Brand new. I figured if I was going to make that kind of investment then I wanted to be the only one to use it. :)

If they are brand new I don't understand how they can sell them so inexpensively compared to the stores.

Any ideas?

I think these people are able to buy the products wholesale; perhaps they own a scrapbook business of some sort and are able to buy Sizzix stuff at wholesale prices.. then they can turn around and sell them and probably make a 20% profit. Just a thought.
