Did not see a check in started for this week so I will start one.
I got on the scale yesterday and it showed 3 pounds and I was scared it was a dream. When I checked this morning it was at 3 1/2 pounds which gives me that beautiful GOLD clippie. I am excited!!!!!
Just remeasured and I have lost 2 more inches also!!!

I'm happy to report that after two straight weeks of maintaining, I lost 2.5 lbs this week. :)
I'm also thrilled to report that I went clothes shopping today and have dropped a size! I sat in the dressing room debating whether or not to go down a further size, because by the looks of things I'll only have a few more weeks in this size!
I don't have a weight or a size goal, other than that I want to be able to shop in any store, not just big mama ones.

I have maintained this week, and I am grateful. I'm having a hard time eating eggs this week. The first months I had no problem, but this week I've had to deal with the "burn" they cause. I am hopeful that I'll be able to manage this. I also started back to Curves, so I'm looking forward to good things!

<b>mum4jenn</b> Thanks for posting a check in thread for us, sweetie.
You did great this week! Did you enjoy your dinner at Outback? I love that place, so Atkins friendly and yummy.
Another 3.5 pounds gone forever. You are just racing to goal, aren't you? Are you feeling proud of yourself? You'd better be, all of your WISH friends are feeling proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>*Flower*</b> I don't know that I would use the words "only" and 12 pounds in the same sentence ;) I think you're doing great! Losing 2 whole pounds in one week is just wonderful progress.
I'm so happy and proud for you. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself.
<b>LisaTx</b> WOO HOOOO!!!! You are tearing up that road to goal! Another 2.5 pounds gone forever. You've just got to love that Whoosh Fairy, huh?
Love your new clippie, <i>very</i> attractive. I can see that pretty smile of yours when I close my eyes. You're feeling pretty strong and proud of yourself, aren't you? I hope so, I'm sure proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>addicted_to_WDW</b> Good job, sweetie! Losing 2.5 pounds is wonderful progress, especially when you have spent a couple of weeks maintaining. You are doing great with this project.
The best part is seeing that you are getting smaller, huh? How exciting that is. Be proud, you are a great success and I'm proud <i>of</i> you!
<b>NCRedding</b> Maintaining is good. Not as much fun as losing but so much <i>more</i> fun than gaining, don't you think?
Don't eat eggs if they are giving you trouble. Eat left overs from dinner. Get some low carb cereals, make some low carb waffles. In fact, make a larger batch of waffles and freeze them so that all you have to do is pop them in the toaster when it is time for breakfast. It's a great breakfast (or dinner even).
You <i>are</i> measuring yourself regularly, right? If not, please measure yourself now. Sometimes we lose inches instead of pounds and that is my favorite kind of loss. Losing inches means you are getting smaller and who cares how much you weigh if you are getting smaller?
Hang in there, you're doing great.
<b>Disney_1derland</b> WOW! Look at you go! You are very successful with this way of eating. Losing 12.5 pounds in just two weeks is amazing progress.
Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it. Be proud of yourself, we are all proud <i>of</i> you!
<i>I'm so glad to be able to reply to the check in thread, again. I've missed everyone so much and I especially missed reading about your progress.
Onward and downward, my friends. We are on our way to goal!</i>

We have all certainly missed you too Katholyn. Glad your Mom is doing better.
We both really enjoyed Outbacks the other night. It was hard not eating that wonderful bread but my dd ate all of it!!! I never thought I would be able to eat steamed veggies without cheese but I actually ate most of my broccoli by just dipping it in melted butter that was left from my Lobster Tail. It was actually yummy!!

I was on really early this morning and hadn't seen a check-in thread, so I'm glad that one was started!
I'm down 4 pounds this week! I'm so excited! 16 pounds on Atkins since 7/13 and 20 pounds total since 7/1!!
I've been faithful to exercise this week and I'm actually enjoying it! (Trust me, 2 months ago I would've been whining about it!)
This week will be a real test, though. We start school Tuesday, with all of us needing to be dressed, fed, and out the door by 7 am! I'm still hoping to exercise every morning, but that means I've got to be up by 5:15-5:30 at the latest!
I covet your prayers and pixie dust sprinklings!

I am happy to report that I lost apound! Now that doesn't seem much but I am thrilled! I have such a stuggle to lose so this pound was a blessing. I also am proud of myself that I didn't give in to the temptation of the Krisp Kreme donuts that my daughter brought home. Great job to those who lost and stayed the same, and for those that didn't lose hang in there!

Not a bad week but not so great either. I'm down another -1.50 for the week. I'm looking for a clippee change one day this week so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for the whoosh fairy to come and visit me.

<b>firecracker</b> Holy cowabunga! WOW. You've lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks? What wonderful progress you are making. You are certainly a DIS success story.
With your determination, I'll bet you give up a little sleep and keep up your workouts even after school starts. I can't imagine you allowing that part of your new healthy life to lag behind.
I'm so happy and proud for you. Be proud of <i>yourself</i>!
<b>vfb2girls</b> I think losing 1 pound in a week is a great accomplishment, don't you? Just think, that would be 52 pounds lost in one year if you did that every week. Now, <i>that</i> is <b>progress</b>.
I'm so proud of you for not succumbing to the temptation of a Krispy Kreme (I never saw what was so great about them but my husband used to eat a lot of them). That is an accomplishment to be proud of and I hope you are feeling proud of your strength and determination.
<b>PartyofSix</b> You are such a success and you lose weight so steadily, you amaze me. Good job. I'll bet you have that new clippie very soon.
I'm still hoping to earn a gold one, the platinum seems out of my reach but you prove to me that I can earn that one too. Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you? I'm really proud of you, too.
Onward and downward, my friends!

I lost 1.5 pounds this week. I weighed in on Saturday to get my 35 lb. clippie but I get to add an additional 1/2 pound here today. :) This weigh-in also puts me at only one pound above my pre-pregnancy weight! :)
I had a pretty good week despite a few challenges. I was hoping to lose at least 2 pounds this week but I will take 1.5. This puts me at 35.5 pounds lost and only 4.5 pounds from my birthday goal of 40 lbs. 4.5 pounds is a lot for two weeks so I will need to be good this week. :)
This week will present a few challenges but I think I am up for them. This morning I am taking a commercial insurance test for work and I am pretty stressed about it since I have to pass. If for some reason I don't I am going to be pretty upset and will have to be very careful around food. I am also scheduled to meet DH for lunch today at one of two restaurants near where he works and both will present ample opportunities to cheat if I give in plus there is a goodie day at work on Wednesday! Hopefully my willpower will be strong enough and if not then I can fall back on my support here at WISH! :)
Have a great week everyone!!! Onward and downward!!! :)

Good morning!
I am checking in to say I've lost a total of 5 more lbs. since joining up here about 2 weeks ago. My low-carb lifestyle (cominbed with the GBS) is working! I can't wait to get back to Disney in October - I just know I'm going to have more energy than ever before.

I've put on a pound...
My words for the week? Portion control.
I love the Paleolithic Diet - I feel stronger and healthier than I ever have, but it's not set up to be a weight loss program per se, more a method for healthier living.
Soooo, I'm thinking of switching to Weight Watchers. I can still eat all the foods I'm eating with the Paleolithic Diet, but will have a better idea of "when to say when."
We'll see what happens then. I start today. Got myself all set over the weekend. Here we go!!!

I'm back from my vacation, and oh my GOD did I do bad. You'd think around all that seafood I wouldn't have done too poorly, but I ate any and EVERYTHING. I'm afraid to do the damage control.
The good news though is that I got back on Saturday night, and yesterday, I got RIGHT back on program. And even better than that, I felt HORRIBLE after eating so poorly. And I don't mean emotionally, I mean I physically felt really bad. My stomach ache at the end of the week was enough to make me NEVER want to eat that way again.
My fiancée has also decided to start Atkins. I'm gonna need lots of help, cause I'm sticking with Weight Watchers. I've read Atkins book, but I don't have any clue about any of the little hints and secrets! :)

Wow, you all are such an inspiration, what great success stories.
Really keeps me encouraged and on track.
Weighed in for the first time this a.m. since starting Atkins five weeks ago. I am down almost 13 lbs. So happy and breathing a little sigh of relief after finally facing the scale.
Been lurking alot but not posting. Now I feel like I can post :)
Maybe I can figure out how to get a clippie!
Thanks to all of you for your help.

I have a 1/2 lb. lost since last week. While it's better than a gain, I'm a little frustrated...I think I may have reached a temporary plateau because my weight keeps fluctuating between 170 and 171.5. It's like my scale is taunting me and doesn't want me to get into the 160's!!!

Good Monday Afternoon Everyone,
I am happy to report that I've lost another pound. I really want to go all out this week because my three sisters (who will not be checking in this week) are at WDW without me. I hope they are having a great time.
The weight is slowly coming off but the other night I tried on my wedding gown and I am within 10 pounds of it fitting nicely.
That sure was a boost.
Katholyn, we're glad your back.
Have a super week everyone and we'll see less of you next week.

I started Atkins on Monday of last week. As of this morning I've lost six pounds. Woo hoo! I felt yucky the first few days and then I caught the stomach flu. I was also feeling somewhat depressed but you've all helped me so much to be able to hang in there. I enjoy reading your experiences and have already learned a lot from you. A week ago I didn't even want to contemplate an exercise program, but now I'm thinking of signing up with a health club through our corporate wellness program. You're all doing a great job as well. Thanks again!:D

What a week!!!
Earlier this week, I was happy to see that I lost 2 pounds. Then yesterday morning, I was REALLY REALLY happy to see that 2 more pounds were gone. This morning was a completely different story, though. THIS morning all four of those pounds were right back staring me in the eyeballs when I checked the scale!!! Yep, that's right! Overnight, it seems that TOM decided to show up and brought 4 hefty friends along!:( Talk about bad timing!!! Why couldn't TOM have waited until tomorrow??
In spite of that WI didn't go as badly as I was afraid. I did show a .75 loss. At least there was not a gain!
Glad to see that so many have lost this week!!! Way to go! For those of us who gained or lost very little, hang in there! Things will go our way next week!

I lost 2.8 this week. I reached my mini goal ahead of schedule. I also got my 10lb clippie this week. I am getting close to being where I was last year when I lost my 37 pounds. What a way to end the summer. Who could think that I could loose almost 25 pounds during the summer.
Thanks to everyone for all your support! You all make it so easy to loose!

<b>DaddyDon</b> Way to go, smartie! Look at you. Losing 3 pounds in one week is just wonderful progress. Love that new clippie. Don't get too attached, I'll bet you are going gold very soon :)
<b>Harambe</b> Look sweetie, you've been under a lot of stress. I think it is terrific that you maintained your weight this week. So much better than gaining, don't you think?
Hang in there and don't give up. Your life will settle down in a while and you will be dropping lots of weight. Honest you will. I'm proud of you for posting here even though you weren't happy with your progress this week. You're going to reach goal, I'm sure of it. Just don't give up.
You sound so sad. {{{HUGS}}}
<b>becka</b> Look at you! You are doing so well, you have a perky new attitude and your determination shines through your words. You are just working toward goal and doing a great job.
I know you must be feeling very proud of yourself. You are losing weight and you passed that insurance exam, too. I'm sure proud <i>of</i> you!
<b>Baileymouse</b> Way to go! Losing 5 pounds in two weeks is wonderful. Love that new clippie. I'll bet you have lots more energy when you go to WDW in October. You are just getting so healthy :)
<b>bigsis1970</b> Sounds like you are having great success with the 6 week body makeover. I'm curious, though. What happens at the end of 6 weeks?
Another 3 pounds gone forever. What a great success you are. Where is your clipart, though? I would have added that 15 pound clippie so fast. Are you shy about being a WISHer?
Keep this up and you are going to be at goal very soon. Thanks for being such a great inspiration for me, your success keeps me motivated.
<b>Beastlover</b> I know you are glad to have that surgery over and done. How great that you saw the scale move downward this week. 3 pounds gone forever and you are on your way to the "gold". How exciting.
I'm really glad you are part of my support group, you help keep me motivated.
<b>bliss4us</b> Are you sure that the pound you gained isn't fluid? I'm proud of you for taking control and rethinking your eating plan, what a wonderfully successful attitude you have.
Let us know how WW works for you. It's a wonderful plan. I'm proud of you for posting here on the check in thread even though you showed a gain. That shows you are truly determined to succeed. Hang in there.
<b>arizonacolbys</b> If you lose one pound a week for a year that would be 52 pounds gone. You are making excellent progress.
May I be nosy and ask about your user name? Arizona is one of my very favorite places, I lived in Phoenix for nine years and I would love to live there again. Are you originallly from Arizona?
Good job this week, I'm so glad you took the challenge. I think you are doing great!
<b>SnackyStacky</b> Well you are back home and back on track. Hope that over r indulgence hangover is gone by now.
We missed you. Will your fiance be joining us here on WISH? You know I'm always happy to welcome another Atkins follower. I love seeing new people join my support group :)
<b>elisebutt</b> You are just amazing! Another new clippie? Way to go! Another three pounds gone forever, what a wonderful feeling that must be.
I hope you are feeling proud, <i>I'm</i> sure proud <i>of</i> you!
<b>grlzmom</b> You <i>lurked</i>???? You lurked on <i>WISH</i>????? Goodness, no more lurking allowed, okay?
...Really keeps me encouraged and on track.
I know...isn't it great? I love reading the check in thread, it helps me stay motivated. Besides, it is just too much fun to celebrate everyone's successes, even if I haven't lost weight myself. I sort of live vicariously through our WISH successes.
Which clippie do you need? I see a pretty 10 pound loss clippie in your signature right now. Let me know if you need help adding a different one.
You're doing great and I'm really glad that you are part of our family now. Visit WISH often and <i>no more lurking</i>!
<b>LuvTigger</b> Well, first of all if you lose .5 pounds every week for a whole year you will be 26 pounds lighter. I think you are making progress. You sound pretty frustrated, though, so let's think about this for a minute.
Are you staying on strictly on plan? Are you getting your exercise? If your answer is yes, then you are just seeing how sneaky that bloat fairy can be. How often do you weigh yourself? Some people can weigh themselves everyday and be fine. I can't do that, you might want to consider weighing yourself only once a week if your weight seems to go up and down. That's what I do, I get too frustrated otherwise.
Another little thing...have you measured yourself? Measure yourself regularly and you will see a better indication of your success. Sometimes we lose inches when we don't lose pounds and seeing proof that you are getting smaller takes a lot of sting out of not seeing a loss. It helps me, at any rate.
Thanks for posting here this week even though you weren't happy with your progress. I'm proud of you for doing that and I hope you are proud of your success.
<b>Susan--Ontario</b> I'm hoping to get to meet Debbie. If you talk to her will you please tell her that I will be at the Dolphin? I arrive tomorrow.
Another pound gone forever! Buckle down and be really strict this week and you will surprise your sisters with an extra successful week. I'm sorry you didn't get to go with them. Next time, perhaps. Not much consolation this week, though, huh?
You're doing great. Be proud of yourself because we are all sure proud <i>of</i> you!
<b>mishoe01</b> Losing .1 pound is better than gaining .1 pound :) You will do better this week. Behave yourself this week and you will show a larger loss next weigh in.
I proud of you for posting here, even though you weren't all that strict over the weekend. It's not so much fun posting to the check in thread when you have to confess that you didn't stay on plan. I'm glad you posted though, you have motivated me to be careful about staying on plan.
<b>MomE@Home</b> Way to go! I love your new clippie and your new colorful tags. Those tag fairies are sweethearts and they see all, don't they?
You are doing so well. I sure hope you are feeling proud of yourself, I'm sure proud <i>of</i> you. Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it.
<b>Castillo Mom</b> WOO HOO! 6 pounds gone forever. You are having wonderful success with Atkins. Way to go!
I'm so glad that you came to WISH for help when you needed it. When WISHers have the chance to help someone else it empowers them and makes them stronger. That is a very good thing.
Be proud of yourself, you are doing great and all of your WISH friends are proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>mowsie dreamer</b> WOW! If you showed a .75 pound loss despite TOM then you probably lost a few pounds in reality. Good job. Do you not find it frustrating to weigh yourself so often? It used to drive me crazy because one day I would show a loss and the next I might gain 5 or 10 pounds. Had to give up weighing myself so often, it just made me too frustrated.
Don't forget to measure yourself, sweetie. Yes, I know I nag about that but it is just so important. Have you measured yourself?
I like your positive attitude. Hang onto it, it will help you along the road to goal. Hang in there and don't let the bloat fairy upset you too much. That BF is a stinker, huh?
<b>MelanieC</b> WOW! You lost almost 3 pounds this past week. That is wonderful progress. You must be so proud to have lost so much weight this summer. I know that all of us here are proud <i>of</i> you. Are you close to goal?
Keep up the good work you are doing a great job with this.
<i>Well, the BF has been to my house again (still?) I am showing a gain of 5 pounds but since I have been carefully faithful to plan I know that it is fluid. Plus, my rings never lie and they are cutting into my fingers.
So, in self defense, I measured myself and I see that I am 2.25 inches smaller than last time I measured. That is my favorite thing to do, measure myself and see a decrease in my size. I'm happy, I'd rather be smaller than lighter :teeth:</b>
I leave the house in about 2.5 hours. I never sleep when I have to leave the house by 4am, I can't sleep, I've tried. So, I WISH instead. My plane arrives in Orlando at 11:50 am. I can't figure out why Southwest takes longer to get me there than Spirit. No stops on this flight, no plane changes...can't figure it out. No matter, I'll be in Orlando soon.
I am taking my laptop and I will check this thread when I can. You know I can't go cold turkey without WISH, it is much too important to me :)
Onward and downward!

Congratulations losers and maintainers! Hang in there gainers, tomorrow is another day.
For me it is week two of maintaining, which can be looked upon as a good thing. I have a lot of stress in my life right now, I have stopped counting points and journaling and I am still maintaining. The only constant in my life right now is my exercise program, I have stuck with it faithfully during this lapse and I am sure that is the reason I am maintaining. I know I will jump back on the bandwagon at some time, just not sure when that will be.
Keep up the great work folks!

I stayed the same this week. I'm a little disappointed but better I stay the same than have a gain. If I look back at the week, I can find times when I might have had more of something than I should have. I will go back to basics and measure things out. I would like to get my 40lb clippie by Labor day. That is 5lbs in 13 days and I know if I stick to program I can do it. I did lose 1 3/4inches this week so I know I am losing soemthing.
Hope everyone has a great week!!

I will try never to weigh mid-week- but it was worth it to grab that clippie on Friday- but last week I actually saw 194 and was WOWED! But now TOM is approaching and my upper assets feel like anchors and today I weighed in at 195. That's a 2 pound loss from last week and I'm taking it!! :)
Down total loss of 41 pounds, and I'll measure inches tomorrow but was nearing the yard mark! (about 35 inches so far)
Off to see Mars on my walk- when is daylights savings time? It's spooky walking in the dark in the am! :)
Great job losers and dedicated WISH'ers- Onwards & Downwards!!!

Another week and I'm still losing! I am so happy to report that I've lost 2.5# this week. An even bigger surprise, week after week, losing almost twenty lbs, I'd not lost any inches. Kath goes on and on about measuring - but tho measuring every two weeks - no inches lost either! This week (trumpet fanfare!!!) 4 inches!!!
Finally I'm seeing progress. Did I mention I'm very happy about this? I'm attributing the turn around to two things - changing from a strict almost-no-carb Atkins to a veggie friendly Atkins; and (being perimenopausal) hormones - with the return of hot flashes (sorry guys!) I've had a return of weight loss. Bring on the power surges!
Pray for me I have a job interview this week!

Thought I would check in (I do that so sporadically!). I maintained this last week which is not suprising or concerning for me as I am moving into premaintenance. I have 4 more pounds to go to goal and intend to lose them VERY vERY slowly as I ease into my goal and maintenance. I have upped my carbs to a net of 30 and increased my calories on average as well. I lost 1 pound last week despite the changes... but this week was a maintaining week. It will be very slow going from here on out as I purposely have made the changes to SLOW it down to a crawl. I am thrilled though that I AM maintaining and even losing (albeit slow) with the increased volume of eating I have incorporated. This is very doable. :)

Hi just wanted to let you know that at the end of 6 weeks ( they say you can lose up to 30 pounds in the 6 weeks - I am into week 5 but haven't been very strict with myself, I think I will be on the plan for at least 12 more weeks to get where I want with out being too strict - I tend to eat out w/ friends and family on the weekends ) if you haven't lost what you wanted to then you do it for another 6 weeks or till you get to where you want .. the program is eating 6 mini meals a day for your body type - they give you a test to see which type you are A through E then they give you an eating plan to follow - I am a type B so I get 2oz protein and 1/2 C Fruit Breakfast and AM snack then at Lunch I get 2oz protein, 1/2 C Carb , and 1 C Veggies then at Pm snack I can have 2oz protein 1/2 Carb and Dinner is 2oz protein, 1/2 C Carb , and 1 C Veggies and bedtime snack is 1/2 C fruit and then you can add 1/2 C Carb and 1/2 C fruit to any of these if you are working out after that meal . They do also give you an 18 minute body sculping routine - I haven't done that yet as I want to lose most of the weight before sculpting so I am at Curves for my Cardio workout.
as far as the clippie I have not had time to read the directions ! I will get to that some time ! LOL Michelle

I had a discouraging week. I stayed on program, and I still gained 1.2 pounds. It just doesn't seem right. My WW leader is going to take a look at my journal to see if she can figure out what might be going on. It's really discouraging to gain that much when I'm trying so hard, but I'm not giving up now! I have been sticking to it this week as well, so let's hope my body cooperates this time.

Hi all! What great inspiration you all provide!!! :bounce: bounce: :bounce:
Anyway, I started my Atkins induction last Tuesday so it's been one week. I have lost 4.5 lbs. so far...so close to the first clippie!!!
Since I started on a Tuesday, I'll probably be doing my weekly checkin' every Tuesday if that's ok
Haven't measured yet, but I've played around with the tape measure and I believe there are a couple of inches missing. :)
My fiance is doing Atkins as well (I announced I was going to do it and he said, "count me in too" even though he thinks diets are stupid and he had no intention of starting something) Funny thing is, he's lost a good, solid 8 pounds! I'm so happy he's doing it with me, it makes it so much easier to have someone else along!
We shared a turkey leg and a lg. unsweetened iced tea (with 2 sweet and low's) at MGM the other day (adding water to the tea as we drank it) and it was just so nice thinking we were doing it together! :) Oddly enough, we were absolutely stuffed after that! LOL
I'm loving the appetite control this gives you! :bounce:
As a side note, I've got a total loss goal of about 55 pounds and I am now setting a mini-goal to lose 25 by my birthday...Dec. 6th. That's 1.6 pounds per week...sounds reasonable enough...

I was getting a little bummed out because I haven't lost in 2 weeks. (Haven't gained either, but that seems less exciting somehow!) But last night I went clothes shopping and didn't get as depressed as usual! I tried on some dresses that are 2 sizes down from my usual. Granted, some makers it's possible to fit into better than others but I was happy that I could even try them on. So I guess Katholyn's right about taking measurements!
I've been feeling bloated and haven't been losing although I've been trying to stick to 25 carbs/day. I think it may have been the coffee I've been drinking - I've found that I really like iced coffee and it takes care of snack cravings. But I was drinking any kind, so this week I've switched to decaf and I'll see if that's the problem. Hopefully the whoosh fairy will help me out soon!
Katholyn, so glad you are back - we've missed you!

 Katholyn Hi GF!!! Glad you are back. Dolphin/Swan huh? You have a good time cuz you deserve it.
I lost another! That makes 22 pounds total for me. I am still listed in the moderately obese category so a bit more to go here. I am at the place I ended last year! Now I have no where to go but down from here!
Good news aplenty! I measured and have lost another inch in most spots. That makes me very happy too. Now I must be showing something as someone at work asked me when I planned to buy clothes that fit. I am trying to decide how I want to handle this. I need to buy, but I am not certain where I will be when I stop. Choices, choices…
I am also proud to announce that DH has lost a total of 25 pounds. We just took all of his suits to the tailors for a massive make over! How thrilled and proud I am for him! He is doing it!
It has been a great week and as my weight has been progressively coming down I have been encouraged. It is hard to keep on task and I have given in to temptations. Most importantly for me is that I have gotten right back up and in the program, and my failures have not been as massive as they once would have been.
I am entertaining an exercise adventure and will see where that takes me.
Everyone, get your mind in the program with you and you will have a better time of it. You are worth it; do it for you! Keep on keepin’ on. Good luck to all.

Well, today was my weigh in day and I have lost another 2 pounds!! I am very happy since I just got back from vacation! It must have been all the walking, which never stopped while I was there! :) I did make some smart choices in the food I ate, but also didn't deprive myself of anything either ;)
So, as of today, I am at 34 pounds total loss!! One more pound to go for a new clippie!! :)
Congratulations everyone who lost and maintained! :)
Kath, have a wonderful trip! :)

Well, I didn't go to my WW WI last week (and thus did not check in on WISH) b/c I felt very sick the whole day before, but I did today and gained .8 which wasn't as much as I thought I would, b/c I ate pretty crappily!!
So, oh well is what I say! It wasn't as bad as I thought and I'm recommitting this week. Plus our new Flex Points plan sounds really great so that'll be extra motivating to keep OP. (And it may be the BF, too b/c like Kath, my rings are a bit snug. Darnit all to heck! LOL)
Congrats to all the losers and maintainers! For us gainers, we'll be #1 next week!

Hello All
Yesterday was my official weigh & check in day - but I avoided the thread because I felt down!! I weighed myself mid week - last Friday - and I was down 2lb. I felt the week was going well but ... Then I weighed myself yesterday, official weigh in day, and those two pounds were back!! Therefore no loss! I realise a body is a body and these things happen but I was disappointed - as I really feel I am sticking to Atkins well.
Weighed myself today and I am 1lb down again - so I am taking that as this weeks loss! No real inch loss either so many I am doing something wrong. I am keeping a food diary and double checking my carbs. I am not much of an exerciser - so I know that is part of the problem.
I guess we will see what next week brings! I guess part of the problem is that I am wanting to loose so badly because of my upcoming trip to WDW!
Well lots of good luck loosing this week everyone - Katholyn - I hope your having fun!

Lost 1 lb this week. :bounce: :Pinkbounc
I'm pretty happy with that since I didn't do as well as I would have liked at staying on plan. I did a lot of exercise, though, & I know that helped.
As of today I'm back on track again - can't get in the habit of going OP!

I am also down one pound this week, not bad considering a knocked myself out of ketosis for the first time since I started Atkins! Thank you, watermelon, for that! So, I am at 18lbs total since 7/2. I feel a new clippie coming on soon--cannot wait to claim 20lbs!
Cheers to you all (raise your water bottles here) to a fantastic week!

Well I'm happy to report that I am back from a week at WDW and I only gained three pounds. I have a feeling that a lot of that might be water weight too. I'm satisfied because I had a true vacation and ate whatever I wanted. So today I'm back on plan. Well see what the scale says next week!

Well, I'm so glad the girls are back in school starting today, well that's not really why I'm glad, it's that today I had the time to read the whole check-in thread and you guys are soooo inspiring. I could feel the positive energy just oozing out of my monitor! Our attitudes rock! We are here and on this road together and not getting down about bad weeks or days or maintains or even gains. We only see temporary set-backs and use them to motivate us to move forward - I LIKE THAT IN US!!
Ok ok ok maybe I'm also happy because today I get to report a pound loss! yea!!! I have been gaining and losing the same three pounds since July 4 and this week I broke that barrier and entered a new number in my siggie! woo hooo!!! it really felt good this morning, for the first time in quite awhile I was ready to WI and not hanging my head on the way down the basement stairs!
This is big for me, today I saw a weight I have not seen since delivering my first baby - 11 years ago! Oh my, is she really that old??
congrats to everyone, we are winners, onward and downward!

<b>tiggerlover</b> I'm glad that you are still maintaining your weight. Hope you can get back to counting your points again soon, though.
Hang in there, Hope all that stress is out of your life very soon, {{{HUGS}}} sweetie.
<b>Sue & Co.</b> Good for you getting rid of one of those extra pounds. I sure hope the BF is more kind to you than he is to me.
I'm glad you posted here this week, it shows me how determined you are.
<b>wdwnutze</b> Wouldn't you rather get smaller than lighter? Well, that's what you did this week. You got <i>smaller</i>. I think that's great. Concentrate on losing inches instead of pounds and you will see how successful you truly are, and you <i>are</i> successful.
Good job this week. I hope your scale reflects a loss for you by next check in. Be proud of yourself, I'm really proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>lmhall2000</b> You showed a two pound loss despite TOM approaching? That is wonderful progress. Are you smiling and feeling proud? I'm smiling and feeling proud <i>of</i> you. You are a <b>success</b>!
<b>Mermaid02</b> Way to go! Losing 1.8 pounds in just one week is wonderful progress. You are doing great with this weight loss stuff.
I'm proud of you, keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it.
<b>Kabuli1</b> So, I go on and on, huh? I'll try to watch that.
2.5 pounds and 4 inches gone forever, what a terrific accomplishment. I'm proud of you. I'm glad you found a way to modify your eating plan so that it works best for you. You're doing great!
<b>DixieDreamer</b> Have I told you recently that you are my hero? You have learned to eat the Atkins way and been so successful that you are only 4 pounds from goal. I am planning to be just like you, it's true. If I ever get so close to goal, I want to lose the last few pounds very slowly.
You are a great example for me, Laura. I want to be just like you, when I grow up :teeth:
<b>bigsis1970</b> Your plan is interesting, I was curious about it. At the end of 5 weeks how much have you lost?
I'm glad that you've found a plan you can live with, that's most of the battle. I'll see if I can't get you some help adding the member clipart. I love seeing the clipart in the signatures of my support group.
<b>scarlett873</b> Good attitude, I <b>like</b> it! Having a positive attitude is going to help you along that road to goal. I'm proud of you.
I'm glad you checked in this week even though you had a slight gain. That proves you are determined to stay the course. I never doubted that for a minute. You <i>are</i> a WISHer, after all ;)
<b>ead79</b> If you stayed on program, don't you think that there is a very good chance that you have been visited by the bloat fairy? It happens you know. Don't let it discourage you, just keep on keeping on. Perhaps your WW leader will be able to pinpoint any food "issues" you may be having by reading your journals. I suspect it's just the dirty work of the BF though.
I'm proud of you for checking in even though you showed a slight gain on the scale. It isn't as much fun as checking in when you have a weight loss to report but it shows that you are very motivated and determined.
Hang in there and I hope you are happier to check in next week.
<b>MsDisney</b> Way to go! So close to that 5 pound loss clipart, I'll bet you earn it by next week.
I love your enthusiasm and positive attitude. Those are both very valuable possessions and they help the rest of us stay positive, too.
Losing 4.5 pounds in one week is a great start. Be proud of yourself, we are all proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>Lisa96</b> Fitting into clothing two sizes smaller than usual is just the greatest feeling, isn't it? Honey, I went something like 6 weeks right after I took the WISH challenge when I didn't show one ounce loss on the scale but I got smaller and that helped keep me motivated. You have helped me stay motivated today by posting about your success. I appreciate that.
Sometimes the scale doesn't show a loss no matter what we do or no matter how faithful to plan we have been. I'm glad you didn't allow that to discourage you. Great attitude you have there. I <i>like</i> it!
I hope you show a loss next check in but keep measuring, just in case :) Be proud of yourself for not giving up. I'm sure proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>Tiger Lily 03</b> Another pound gone forever and you are one inch smaller too. Way to go! Sounds like your dh is doing a great job getting healthier, too. That is great news.
Go buy yourself at least one outfit that fits you now. You've earned it and you deserve it. Don't keep wearing baggy clothing that can have a bad effect on you, I speak from experience.
You have a great attitude and you are right, getting the right "mind set" is a large part of our success. You are <i>definitely</i> a WISH success and I'm very proud of you. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself, too.
<b>Wagamama</b> WOOHOO!!! 2 more pounds gone forever. Sometimes we have to try different plans before we find the one that works best for us. You found your perfect plan and I'm so glad. The right plan makes the difference between success and failure. Since you are a WISHer failure is not an option and you are definitely a success. Great feeling, isn't it?
Be proud of yourself for finding the right plan and making it work. I'm proud <i>of</i> you!
<b>Beanie</b> When you buckle down, you really buckle down, don't you? I can see you have that terrific positive attitude and motivation, still. Another 2 pounds gone forever. Are you losing inches too? I'll bet you are. Almost time for a clipart upgrade. Your hard work is paying off.
You are a bright star, here on WISH, caring and helpful to others. I'm so glad that you are part of my support group. I sure hope you are feeling proud of yourself because all of your WISH friends are feeling proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>disnygoof</b> If you only gained .8 pounds, the bloat fairy likes you better than me, I never get off that easily
Remember, what happened last week is in the past and you can't change it so don't worry about it. <i>Fuggedaboutit</i>! It's over. What counts is what is going on "right now" and right now, you are determined, refocused on goal and motivated. I think that's great. I'll bet you show a loss next check in.
Thank you for posting here this week even though you showed a slight gain. It isn't fun to have to post a gain and I'm proud of you for being determined enough to do that, it helps me stay determined.
<b>Claire4dpins</b> Isn't it aggravating when our bodies just don't cooperate and follow any timeline we may have set to lose weight? It happens, though, don't let it get you too discouraged. However, losing a whole pound is <i>wonderful</i>, it's <b>progress</b>. Be proud of yourself for that success and celebrate it. I love celebrations it makes the task a little easier.
Step up your workouts, stay within the lower parameters of your plan and I'll bet you
show a larger loss soon. Just don't give up, you will never reach goal if you give up. Thank you for posting here today, even though you were not happy with your success. I'm pretty proud of you for doing that, be proud of <i>yourself</i>!
<b>perfectmatch300</b> Well, look at you. You lost a whole pound even though you were not strictly on plan all week. You are doing so well. Get back on plan and watch out for that poison--refined carbohydrates. Those things will do you in ;-)
Your whole attitude has changed since you found a plan that works best for you. Your positive attitude and motivation shines through your words. I'm so happy and proud for you, be proud of yourself!
<b>Mom2Princesses</b> Another pound gone forever. You are doing so well. I love watermelon so I know what you mean. I have to be so careful not to eat too much but who can stop with 1/2 cup? How do you even measure 1/2 cup?
Be extra careful this week and I'll bet you earn that 20 pound loss clippie by next check in, you are just doing so well. I'm really proud of your progress and I'm so glad you are part of my support group.
<b>msteddom</b> Good attitude, I have a feeling that you are right and most of that gain is fluid, probably all of it is fluid. Glad you had a great vacation but I'm glad you are back home again and focused on goal.
Have a great week and be proud of yourself. A lot of people would not have posted to this thread when they showed a gain but the fact that you did <i>proves</i> that you are determined to reach goal. I'm so proud of you for that :-)
<b>ohMom</b> Losing a pound when you are so close to goal is quite an accomplishment, sweetie.
I love your attitude and you are right, WISH does "rock". It is such a help to me to know that my support group is made up of people who face the very same challenges I face in this weight loss endeavor. Y'all all know exactly how I feel and I know how y'all feel, it's just amazing what a help that is to me.
I'm proud of you Molli. Some people would have become discouraged not seeing any real "weight loss" progress for so many weeks. The fact that you didn't give up is very motivating for me. You have inspired me and I'm very proud of you.
{{{HUGS}}} to your beautiful girls, even that really old one ;)
<i>Yes, I'm in WDW but none of you really believed that I wouldn't be reading this thread did you? I have not given up one minute of park time nor one second of fun. Reading this thread helps me stay motivated and being surrounded by all kinds of refined carbohydrates, I need that motivation. <i>
Onward and downward, everyone! We are all on the road to goal!

Holly, how about you <i>don't</i> turn in that clippie? You lost that weight and you earned the clipart. That 5 pounds could be a true gain or it could be fluid. I don't turn in my clippies when I gain 7 or 8 pounds. Yes, I know it's all fluid but I don't turn in my clippie. I just don't count the pounds that drop when I lose the fluid toward my next clipart.
Don't turn in your clipart. Just hang in there and count your loss from your best weight. Okay?
I'm glad you are newly determined. We are all in this for the long haul. Don't give up proof of your past successes. Just concentrate on right now and your future success will be assured.

A little delayed posting this week. but as of today (exactly 2 weeks and 3 days into Atkins) I have now lost 17 pounds- almost have that 20 off that i hoped i would before school began again!!! You all make it so much easier with the support system you have here. This is so much easier than i thought it would be -giving up bread and bagels was tough, but there are so many other choices.
Has anyone tried the Atkins shakes? I know once school begins the week after next, that i won't have the time to make eggs and bacon for breakfast. How are they?
Have a great day everyone.

Checking in on my weekly weigh in day.
I'm up .5 pounds this week. I can blame no one or nothing but myself and my disobedience to my hunger and satisfied cues. Too many times this past week I've found myself snacking on things that were around when I wasn't even hungry.
Hitting the reset button and moving on. :)
My measurements at Curves yesterday were impressive though....
In the last month I've lost another 1.75 inches and 1.3% of my body fat (3.22 pounds of body fat in the last month!)
I do know that I had to give my mom all of my new clothes I bought for my May cruise. I had to buy these clothes as I didn't have anything BIG enough to wear on a cruise. They are all too big to wear now, even with belts!! (sigh)

Well, here I am again, checking in on the WISH board. I have visited on & off but haven't been feeling well since April. I recently got diagnosed with an uncommon stomach disease (eosinophilic gastroenteritis) & just found out on Friday that I am really allergic to a number of different foods (eggs, bananas, tree nuts, shrimp, clams, corn). After all I that I decided that if I want to feel better & live healthy I needed to make a commitment to myself to change.
Yesterday I joined WW and I have been going back to the gym for the past few weeks, so hopefully the combination of those with the support of some great DIS friends can put me on the road to good health.
Thanks to all here for their support in the past..hope I can help others too!

Okay, I've been bad and good. The bad is that I haven't checked in here in a couple of weeks. School started back on 8/4 and I just have been too tired to write a complete sentence!! I finally have my first grade babies a little on schedule and in a routine so I am not quite so exhausted!
But the good is that I have been plugging away at WW and am down to a WISH total of 26.6 and a WW total of 56.6!
I promise to post here more often and give back some of the support y'all share with me!!

I had my first gain since I started WW ... I blame the power outage :p We actually had the opposite problem of many people, we had an empty fridge because we do our grocery shopping on Thursday evening or Friday morning. So for two days, there wasn't very much to eat in the house ... :( Of course ... the local pizza store was open (they run their ovens on natural gas) so I reluctantly ate pizza for lunch ... and then hamburgers and fries for dinner that night. Ugh!
I guess I don't feel too bad since I only went up by 0.6 pounds ... I will just work harder this week to lose the weight. :p

<b>ebaynut31</b> Good job. That 5 pound loss clippie is practically in your signature already. Losing .5 pounds in one week is good progress and I see you appreciate that fact, too.
Have a <b>magical</b> trip. I'm sending you a pm. I'll be in Orlando next week and I'd love to meet you.
<b>bigsis1970</b> Enjoy your camping trip. Make the best choices food choices you can but don't obsess, just have as much fun as possible and make some wonderful memories.
<b>lovingthemouse</b> WOW! Losing 17 pounds in two weeks is amazing progress. Good for you! You are just tearing up that road to goal.
My sil tried the Atkins shakes and didn't like them. You might like them, though. Why don't you try one and see? You could make up some low carb waffles and freeze them then all you would have to do is pop one in the toaster in the mornings before school. You could precook bacon and just pop a couple of pieces into the microwave for 30 seconds or so while your waffle is toasting.
This is a really good topic. You should post about it on WISH, I'll bet you get lots of advice and suggestions for quick and easy breakfasts.
<b>ohiominnie</b> I think that gaining .5 pounds can probably be blamed on the bloat fairy, don't you? The most important thing isn't how much you weigh but that you lost body fat. That is <i>wonderful</i> and that is your true goal, after all, right? I think you are doing great and I'm proud of you.
Thanks for posting to the check in thread this week. It shows your determination and it makes <i>me</i> feel motivated. I just love how that works.
It's bittersweet to have to give away brand new clothes that are now too large for you, isn't it? But don't you just feel proud that you have had to do that? I'm proud <i>of</i> you.
<b>welovedis</b> Bless your heart. Food allergies are no fun. At least now you know what to avoid so hopefully you will soon be feeling much better.
It's good to see you posting to the check in thread again. Don't stay away so long again, please. We miss seeing you here :)
<b>campingcorgi</b> Look at you! I love that 25 pound loss clippie in your signature, it looks great on you. You are doing so well, though, that I imagine that you will be trading up to that pretty gold 30 pound clippie very soon, so don't get to attached to this one.
I'm glad that the school year is getting a little calmer so that you can visit WISH a little more often. Be proud of yourself, I'm so proud <i>of</i> you, you are doing a great job.
<b>geetey</b> Did you know that I secretly call you SG when I see a post by you? It's true (oops, not a secret anymore, though). SG=Sweetey Geetey :teeth: Know why? Because of your <i>attitude</i>! You have the greatest positive attitude. It's so motivating. That great attitude of yours is going to help you to goal, you can't help but succeed with an attitude like that.
You will have that pretty platinum 50 pound loss clipart very soon, I'm sure. Can't wait to see it in your signature!
<b>bunnyfoo</b> I don't think that .6 pounds is a true gain, do you? I'll bet it's fluid retention caused by eating that pizza and those salty fries. I'll bet it's gone very soon and I'll bet it takes a pound or two of fat with it when it leaves.
I'm proud of you for checking in here this week even though you didn't see a lost reflected on the scale. That shows me that you are determined and that you have chutzpa. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself. I think you are doing a great job.
Woo-hoo!
I weighed in at 138.5 today and Ross was 198! That's GREAT considering the weekend we had last weekend! No unscheduled cheats for us this week and for the weekend we only have a cheat planned at a cookout tomorrow! I'm really hoping Ross will have a visit from the Woosh Fairy next Friday!
Great thread, as usual. Lots of wonderful progress, lots of uplifting posts and it's so great to see so many people checking in!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Ok, I rejoined WW last Thursday and I lost 2.4 this week! I'm really happy to be back on track. Last spring I lost over 25 lbs., I took a few months off this summer and now I'm ready to lose more. It's nice to see everyone's progress!!!

I just had to say...Way to go EVERYONE!! I came back to check on the posts. I am so glad good and bad posters are posting.
I needed inspiration as we are planning a bigger eating weekend than normal. I know I can do this and still keep myself on track--you know, rationing my poison.
I have been doing great all week in anticipation of this weekend. I have even started to add exercise to this eating routine and as much as I find it all boring, I am doing some movement things. I feel great about all of it.
DH just called me from doctors visit. He is down pounds, as I posted earlier, and his blood pressure is wayyyy down. Doc lowered his meds--Yeah!!! I expect he will have great cholesterol report as well.
This works! Keep on keepin' on. Get your mind in it and do it for you. You are worth it!

End of Week 15, lost 4-lbs. from 290 to 286 for total 42 lbs.. Another slow loss month.
I'm almost through with my reviews of eating at WDW, and then I'll post them.
The past several weeks I have been eating Atkin's chocolate 2-gram Endulge candy bars, and Atkin's 3-gram Advantage bars, and Atkin's 4-gram ice cream. I'm addicted to them now. I'm sure that I am overdoing it and it is slowing my weight loss. Oh well. At least I'm still staying 15-grams per day and not cheating.
God bless, best wishes, and encouragement to everyone trying so hard to lose, maintain, and getting back on the wagon.

<b>TigH</b> Good job, Karen! Congratulations to Russ, too. You are both doing so well. Your success and determination are an inspiration for me.
You are just zeroing in on your goal and it's fun to watch. I'm so proud of you.
<b>jlawall</b> I'm so proud of your new determination. You are newly focused on your goal and you're going to do great.
Welcome back, I missed seeing you around WISH.
<b>RaySharpton</b> I think you're doing great, Ray. I don't consider 42 pounds lost in 15 weeks to be slow progress. That's almost 3 pounds a week gone forever, my friend. Be happy and be proud of yourself. You are working your way to goal steadily and surely and I'm very happy and proud <i>for</i> you.
I'm glad you are part of my support group, you are a shining example of success for me.
<i>Hmmmm, guess where I'm going to eat in about 1/2 hour? Jiko. Wonder how Atkins friendly that place is going to be? I'm going to make the best choices possible but this is a "treat" offered by a friend so I could not say no. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Onward and downward!

Congratulations to all the losers out there and dont give up to everyone else! I've been yo-yoing for the past few weeks, maybe this'll keep down.
