Has anyone every tried this? I saw it on another site. It said that if you "rent a national car thru Walt Disney Travel company...and are staying off site, you can get free parking at theme parks".
We will be staying off site, and those parking fees add up, (especially in Canadian funds, lol). During our stay, we want to do dinner at Chef Mickeys (on a day were not at the parks) and Im wondering if we have to pay to park there. Also for the Grand adventurues in cooking, do i pay to park there? How about if we just want to take a Monorail ride one night, do we pay to park for that?
Sorry this is so long...thanks for your help

Kind of sounds like a package deal in a way to me. I bet it would be cheaper to rent your car conventionally using available discounts and pay for parking.

Also, are rentals through Walt Disney Travel company available for pickup at the airport? If not, you would also incur the cost of transportation to and from the airport.

I can add this info for you:

Should you pay the parking fee on your way to Chef Mickey's, bring the receipt inside and give it to your server. They will deduct the amount from your Chef Mickey's bill so you will in effect have parked for free.

We have rented from National and never got to park free for that reason. We were staying on site, so we parked free anyway, but the national people didn't know that and parking was not mentioned when we rented.

Anybody staying onsite parks for free no matter where you rent your car(but that does sound like a great National perk doesn't it?)

If you want to ride the monorail, you will have to pay to park.
