Hi All!!
When I have stayed at a WDW resort in the past, I have charged back to the room with my room key card. I have done this at gift shops, but never in a WDW restaurant. If we eat at Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare or any other WDW restaurant, can I charge the meal to the room with the key card?
I like doing this because I don't want to have to keep up with any extra cash or credit cards while in the parks.
Thanks!!

You may charge anything back to your room except for the kiosks in the parks that only take cash (ice cream, popcorn, etc)
You can even charge the counter service back to your room
I understand that there is a charge limit ($500 for value, $1000 for moderates, $1500 for deluxe). Once you hit the limit, they must charge your card (clear the hotel credit) and you start over.
Have a great trip.

Absolutely. We give the resort our cash for the room key so that we can charge against it. That way, no credit card bill at the end of the trip and we don't have to carry all that cash around. We use the room charge key for all our meals. It's great.

I love the chargin on the room charge too. Then I don't have to worry about carrying/loosing cash.
We have even put travelers checks on our room account so the "charges' to the room get paid with our travelers checks ;)
I don't believe you can do this at the Swan or Dolphin since they aren't run by Disney but by Westin and Sheraton.

We love the room key for our purchases. Like everyone else said, it is much easier than carrying a bunch of cash or having to drag credit cards around.
I keep all my receipts and keep track of what I am spending so that I know how close to the limit I am at most any time.
Have a great time!

If you stay at the Swan or Dolphin you can't use your room key to charge in the parks or the restaurants at the other hotels. You can only use the room key at the Swan and Dolphin. This is one big difference with these two hotels.:Pinkbounc
