I found out that I would be traveling for work several times this year, so I signed up for a Marriott Reward card. You get points based on the cost of your room towards free nights or airplane miles.

I have been faithfully staying at a participating Fairfield Inn on my trips. But I am not getting my points!

I make my reservations through the members web site, I put in my # and I show my card when I check in.

I have submitted missing stay forms with the supporting documents and the hotel manager has also re-submitted my stays. However, I still awaiting credit for three different stays in April.

(As an aside, the actual hotel and its staff have been great and since I am there almost weekly, we are on a first name basis!)

I am so frustrated. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Is there a better hotel reward program that has hotel in the "budget" category like the Marriott Fairfield or Courtyard? My job only pays for budget!

I don't have an answer for you, Tiggerish, but why don't you try www.flyertalk.com/boardsfr.htm

If you scroll down they have a board especially for the Marriott Rewards program. If you don't see your answer there you could post your problem. Lots of knowledgeable people there.

Fairfield or Hampton are both nice. I have never had any problems with my Fairfield points. Sign up to view them online so you can keep a more readily accessible monitoring on it. (Duh-I guess you must have done that! I see you reserve online)

Perhaps you should just ask them to create a new account with a new number and deposit the missing points to that new account #. Possibly there is just a "bug" in yours when they set it up. Might be easiest to start from scratch.

Thanks for the suggestions. The Marriott Rewards help people finally got back to me and they are doing what jgates suggested and opening a new account for me and they gave me some extra points for my inconvenience.

I am really glad they are trying to work it out, I do like the Fairfield Inn and some day I hope to have enough points for a stay at the Courtyard in Lake Buena Vista!

According to their website, your points are supposed to be posted within 14 days after the date you check out.
