View Full Version : Priority Seating - Veteran Style
All Aboard

Just had an uncharacteristic call to Disney Dining. I called to make 3 PS's for an upcoming trip. Oddly, the CM didn't ask all of the normal questions (such as "what resort are you staying at" "what is your arrival date") nor did he provide the normal info ("park admission required", "all Disney restaurants are non-smoking", "this is a Priority Seating, no a reservation, please arrive 5 minutes prior, "if you are taking Disney transportation, please allow ample time...")
None of it, I just rattled off the restaurants and times, he fed me back the PS numbers. Just the way we'd all want it, given how often we do it.
Now, the question - why? I didn't enter any info, so he had no idea if this was my first or 100th (which is close) visit to WDW.
I don't know why it was that easy, but I sure liked it.

Did they ask any personal information? Maybe they have your file!:teeth:
I also wonder if there is software that incorporates Caller ID?

I called yesterday and got the typical speil. "where are you staying?" "when are you arriving?" "home phone #?" "must have park admission" The whole thing

No, I would say this is not the norm. I made a few PSs last week and they all asked the "required" questions. You might want to call back and verify those PS confirmation numbers just to be sure. :)

I called yesterday (for Jiko in Sept.) and got the "usual" as well.
I think I"d be a bit suspicious--.
Sort of like the time when I called for dinner reservations at a local spot--. I called at about 2:00 PM and after the phone rang about 10 times, I got some young guy on the phone. He "took" all the info, but when we arrived for dinner, nothing had been written down. Turns out I had talked with one of the cleaning people who just answered the phone to stop it from ringing!!!

i know that cro keeps files. when i called to make our last room reservation the woman said something to the effect of "whoa, i see you've stayed here quite a few times before. how did you like the beach club? that's my favorite resort!"
it wouldn't surprise me if they had caller id and some kind of tracking system.
otoh, since it is the norm to get the whole spiel, i would call back to confirm.

I just made a call to Disney Dining and made 5 PS's and got the speal after every single one.....
When I called CRO to make our room reservations the lovely gal there said they were in the process of swicthing over to "a pizza Hut type system" (her words) where they will know the caller and thier info as soon as they call in.
