Holly's out of town, and asked me to get the check-in thread going, so here I am!

I hope everyone had a great week!

I, myself, did! I lost 3.6 pounds, but that's nothing. I'm leaving for a North Carolina beach house for a whole week at 3:00 this afternoon. Double or nothing says I'm gonna put back on those 3.6 plus some extra for good measure! :teeth:

So, everyone....spill it! :) How'd you do?

Congratulations on the weight loss and have a really nice time at the beach. Hopefully the weather will be good for you.
I was not as good as you. I didn't check in last week and in the past two weeks I managed to gain 2lbs. I really have no excuse except for a loss of control over my eating. I am going to do my very best to get back on track this week and hopefully will be able to post a weigh loss next week.

Dan ... congrats on the loss, and have a great time at the Beach!

padisneylover ... great attitude about getting yourself back on track. I know you can do it.

Tammy ... wahoo ... another 3lbs gone forever! Congrats

I am happy to report another 1/2 pound gone (and I haven't been exactly OP this week). We're leaving for a week in WDW on Friday morning, so see you in a couple of weeks. Hopefully there won't be toooo much more of me to see by then ;)

Congrats to all ... have a great week.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in before I get into LURK mode. I've got to get ready for school AND our Disney trip in the next few days. So I've got to be self-disciplined in the computer area, I'm afraid!

Well done, Dan. We'll see who gains more on our vacations, right! I'm not planning on gaining, but I'm not planning on not, either! :p

padisney lover, fingers crossed that you can stay the road this week. I know how discouraging the scale can be sometimes! It sounds like you have your plan, though, and that's the important thing.

Tammy, there is no stopping you! Weigh to go! You continue to be my inspiration!

Mary Liz, another half pound! It's that walking, don't you think? Maybe we should have a pre-Disney weigh in on Thursday morning!

Welcome back, Kelsie! We have missed you, glo and Kath this week! 3 pounds isn't as bad as it could have been, right? And you sure sound ready to tackle and tame it! Good for you!

Carmen, you lost :bounce: 4 pounds and want more? lol I know exactly what you mean. Patience isn't all that it is cracked up to be, is it? Good luck on that pound this week.

I've lost 3 pounds this week and have gained my new clippie. I think that it looks pretty good, and I'm doing the happy dance. http://diettalk.com/forums/images/smilies/carrot.gif http://diettalk.com/forums/images/smilies/carrot.gif http://diettalk.com/forums/images/smilies/carrot.gif http://diettalk.com/forums/images/smilies/carrot.gif http://diettalk.com/forums/images/smilies/carrot.gif

I'll be reading all the successes this week, and hope for lots more next, too! Good luck everyone!

I weighed in early this past week, and grabbed that 45 pound clippie!

I'm not losing very fast these days, buy I'm enjoying every little bit gone... I need to lose another 7 pounds to meet the Labor Day goal I set at the beginning of the summer.

Tammy, how DO you keep doing so well? I'm so very proud of you. I know you're looking and feeling HOT these days!

Dan, have a great time in NC!

For the gainers- it's great to be able to catch the gains while they're still small and manageable, isn't it? We're always going to see little fluctuations from time to time. Learning to recognize and deal with them quickly is a really important skill for us to learn so we can stay healthy and trim for life! I know you'll both banish those little gains and be moving in the right direction in no time!

I am happy to report I lost that pound that I gained last week, so wish me luck this week. I am watching my 21 month old grandson for the week and sometimes that can be slightly stressful , so hopefully I can stay on track and find some time to workout. Great job for those who lost and for those who gained or stayed the same, like the previous advice I got from fellow "wishers" is hang in there, don't lose sight of your goal!

Well, Induction week 1 is under my belt (where there is much more room this week!)

Let's see, I've lost 7.5 pounds and 5 inches from my waist. That seems to be a bit much so maybe I measured wrong last week, but I don't think so! I'm claiming it anyways. Apparently I had a lot of water weight stored there.

I'm very happy with the way things are going and besides the fact that my grocery bill has been huge, I have no complaints! Dh has lost 8 lbs and about 3 inches, so I'm doubly happy.

Thanks to everyone here for existing and being such a source of inspiration and support.

Congrats to the losers, let's have a great week!

For the gainers, hey, they are small gains and easy to control when they are small, hang in there!

I'm happy to report that I am only up 2 pounds since my last weigh-in on 7/20. We were on a cruise and an extended vacation, and I just couldn't stick OP. But I am now back, on Atkins, and have a plan for upping my exercise. Congrats to all of you who posted losses. Good luck to all of us next week.

I'm so HAPPY!!!

This morning I said farewell to the "5 pound Clippie" thread....

Because I was able to change my clippie to '10' pounds lost!!!

I got on my 'official' scale this morning and found that I lost a whole 1 1/2 pounds this week... and that took me over the hump!!!
This is so exciting for me..... because this is my first serious weight loss attempt for a really long time!!!

Thanks so much for giving me the incentive to take the plunge with the group.......

Well I lost about 2.5 pounds this week which puts me at 34 pounds lost total! :)

I was actually down 4 pounds on Saturday which would have given me my 35 pound clippie but I knew that when I started to feel better and get more hydrated that weight would come back on so I didn't count it. Thankfully I am feeling about 40-50% better and was able to drink more last night - hence the 1.5 gained since Saturday...I am sure my body is trying to hold on to every drop of moisture since I was dehydrating late last week and early this weekend.

I really hope that I am able to recover and get back OP - DH is worried that I have put myself into starvation and dehydration mode and that it will be tough for my body to lose more weight in the coming weeks. I sure hope he is wrong! I told him my body has to realize that I was just sick and not really starving! ;)

I am still pretty tired so I am sure no exercise for a few more days but hopefully I will be able to lose at least a pound this next week so I can get my 35 lb. clippie officially. I would still LOVE to get my 40 lb clippie by my birthday on September 3rd. That still gives me a little over 3 weeks to lose 6 pounds which I think might still be attainable.

Congrats to all of the losers and to those of you with shiny brand new clippies! To those of you who gained or stayed the same don't let it get you down. Today is a new day and you can do it!!!

Have a great week everyone!!!!

Weighed myself this morning after my "lovely" vacation and I actually stayed the same! I'm a little shocked because I just ate way too much - but I did try to walk or hike every day and that probably helped.

Boy I want my first clippie! I have only lost 3lbs. total and hope to lose 2lbs. this week so I can have the 5lb clippie.

To all those with new clippies - way to go!!! You inspire all of us that have stayed the same or gone up slightly.

Becka - adorable picture of your baby!

Yeay - I lost a whole new pound so that brings me up to 52lbs lost and I'm now into the first week of a proper exercise routine, so my tummy is sore, sore, sore! My arms are a little achey as well, as I really need to get rid of the upper arm flab. Not too bothered about my legs as I'm still walking a minimum of 3 miles a day, back up to 5+ when kids are back at school, probably more *** if I get into Uni then I'll be racing across Birmingham every day as well!!

Great work, everyone!!! Whether you lost, gained or maintained, you're making choices for a healthier life just by being here - good for you!:Pinkbounc

I lost another pound this week - yay me! Eight down, ten to go, eight down, ten to go, eight down, ten to go...

It's a slow, steady process, but I don't mind. I have all the time in the world to get to my goal weight. I know I can!

Have a super week, everyone, and good luck! Keep up the fantastic work!

I am down 0.2 pounds this week. It was a tiny bit discouraging since I tried really hard last week. I do think that it will take my body a few weeks to realize that it's not starving, it's just not going to be getting as much food, LOL! At least the scale moved in the right direction. My birthday was Saturday, so I decided that I would limit myself to only 1 off-program day. I didn't want it to snowball into the whole weekend. My friends at work are taking me out to lunch today, but I'm going to make good choices. I wanna get some pounds off and get my 1st clippie! :)

Way to go all the losers!!! And stick with it those of you who gained--believe me I've been there--you CAN do it!!!

Blech, I simply maintained this week. I had a rough week hunger-wise, and didn't expect to see much of a loss, but I wanted to see a little one.

The last time I maintained for a week, the following 2 weeks were great. Here's to hoping that happens this time too. :)

Congratulations to everyone!!!

I weighed in a day early today because I'm leaving for WDW tomorrow at 5 AM! While I'm sure I will be hopping on the scale, there is no way I'll be logging on the computer that early.

Anyway I am happy to report that I stayed the same this week. I am very satisfied with that because TOM is tomorrow and I didn't do a very good job of staying OP last week. I know I will come back with a gain, but I really want to enjoy my vacation, so no counting points all this week. I hope everyone has a great week. I know I will!

I maintained this week...pretty good for the week I had! I had surgery on a lump in my abdomen...when my DD was born (12 yrs) we did a c-sect. and about 8 yrs ago I developed a lump, which became painful during TOM. Tried everything to avoid surgery, but finally couldn't stand anymore. Went in on wed. 8/6 for outpatient--took out scar tissue and endometriosis. The good doctor used the same incision as c-sect, and made it about an inch longer. Total, incision is 3" long with 8 staples in it. I feel like frankenstein. THEN saturday I got TOM, at least I am out of commission at the same time!!! ;) I haven't been able to exercise AT ALL, everything you do requires your stomach to stabilize. I have been taking "strolls" thru the neighborhood, but I am just frustrated.
I set a goal for 30 pounds gone by Labor day, so with 5 left to go, I may make it.
Congrats to all of you who lost, keep it up and you will reach your goals--:p

Surprisingly, I still managed to lose about 1.5 pounds even though I caught a pretty bad cold! I was steady at the same weight for several days, even though I was following my plan. I think I was (and still am) retaining fluids and other gunk. Towards the end of the week, I deviated from my plan a bit to help treat my cold, but I still managed to lose a little.

So, I traded up my 5 lb clippe for a 10 lb-er!

Congratulations to everyone on their losses!

I'm the same weight I was two weeks ago. I'm pleased because I have eaten way too much lately and thought I would have gained. I kept up with the exercise and was able to buy a smaller size jean this week. I'm heading to Disney at the end of this week, so I'll see you in 2 weeks (probably with a gain to report;) ) Have a great week everyone!

Hi everyone: Congrad's to everyone still carrying on!
I didn't quit or go MIA, or anything it's just been a VERY busy summer with some vacation time mixed in. So I haven't been checking in. Well the good news is that I'll still down my total lose of 10lbs, no regain even though sometimes I haven't eaten the right stuff. I'm still going to the gym but that's also been down because of being away alot. I think I'm still on track. This week I'm out of town again for training meetings but at least I'm able to control my food, at this one.
Now I have 54 days to make goal weight before WDW. So onward & downward!

Thanks, Dan, for starting this thread this week. Hope by now you're having a great time at the beach in NC! :sunny:

I'm thrilled to report a 3lb loss for this past week! And yes, that does mean I'm on my way now to the clippie room to pick up my 20lb clippie! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Between Atkins & the exercise I've been doing, I can hardly believe the difference it has made for me! I was such a skeptic before finally surrendering & switching to Atkins, but WOW, look at me now! Another new clippie already! I never would have made the switch without all of your success stories to follow while I was so painfully stuck. Yopu showed me it was possible & made me believe I could be a loser, too, and for that I thank you!

So far I have lost 27lbs total, 13lbs since starting Atkins on 7/7/03! :teeth:

Congrats to all who lost this week. Please keep posting. Your success inspires me. If you're maintaining or have gained, hang in there & you will become a loser, too!

But I'm not complaining! This week I had a 4.5 loss at my WI!! I've been see-sawing back & forth for the last few weeks with losses and gains, so I just hope this loss "sticks" (or maybe that would be "unsticks" ;) )and I don't have a gain again next week.

The really good news is that this put me at 27.75 total loss and I reached my 10% goal at WW! And I'm only 2.25 away from the next clippie!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

A pat on the back to everyone who lost this week!! And {{{Hugs}}} to those who didn't. Stick with it and that loss will show up!! I am living proof of that!:D

Yeah! I am down another 1.5 pounds! That means I have finally earned my 5 pound clippie with 5.5 pounds lost!!!:Pinkbounc

At first I was disappointed with how slow the weight is coming off but it is coming off and that makes me so happy. I love to see myself getting closer to my goal even if it is a slow progression.

Dan - Great job this week! I hope you have a super vacation. Thanks again for your encouragement to stick with it a few weeks ago!

Jeanie - I am so happy for you for losing that weight! You really deserve it! Watch out for all of the evil people who bring treats to work and you will keep on losing it! LOL! Just to let you know that being "accountable" to you with our e-mails had a lot to do with my loss this week. Thanks!

Great job to everyone this week!

Hi everyone!

I was so afraid after last weeks no loss/no gain that I was headed for a plataeu. The scale didn't seem to move all week. I ended up loosing 2 pounds at my WW's WI tonight! I am so happy.

This puts me at 21.8 pounds lost since 6/2/03. That is just such an amazing feeling.

Hello All

Well done to all you losers - quite a few new clippies I see!! If you stayed the same - keep going for it - I am sure a loss will show up next week. Gainers - stick with the program and well done for checking in - you CAN do it!!

Well, I have lost 1.5lb this week - still going down so that it good! That means my total loss on induction for Atkins has been 4lb - to be honest I was hoping for - even expecting - more than that as I have a lot of weight to loose!! I did stick to the program and not cheat at all - I was under 20 carbs each day - so we will see what next week brings!

Good luck to all this week!
Stick with it,
Claire:wave:

Good morning! I am very happy to report that I have lost another 3 1/2lbs and will be claiming my new clippie this morning. I have still not set an actual number goal but I think I would like to lose about another 20lbs or so. It will be more in the fit of the clothes but I know I am getting closer!
Congratulations to all the losers! Great job and keep up the good work! To anyone that stayed the same, don't get discouraged. Up your water intake a little and stay on program. To anyone that might have gained, leave it behind you and start fresh. Hope everyone has a great week!!

I can't believe I'm posting here after so long. I've avoided the check-in thread for a month! In fact after going to WDW in July (enjoying myself and the food there) I didn't get on the scale for a very long time. Been unhappy about alot of things, Well, Friday I got on it and I was ok - right about where I left off, today I'm down 2 lbs since then!!! WOW, I think I finally met the whoosh fairy! I looked at a brand new number this morning - less than I've been in 8 years! and that 20 lb clippie and the 140's are only 1.5 away!!! Wow, I have really wondered how long I was going to be stuck here. I guess my body likes to lose about 6-8 then wait a month then some more. At least I know now.

Here's my story of discouragment that turned out to be a lesson learned.....

I weighed in last week at 198.5- my first ever jaunt into Onederland- well after that each day I weighed 199 or 199.5 (Thank goodness it never went over 200!! :)) But it was sooo discouraging- I was walking and dieting and felt how in the world could I show a GAIN- but I stayed the course and wonder of all wonders today I weighed in at 197!! I haven't seen 198 all week since weigh in and I got to skip right over it. So if those scales try to sabotage your efforts DON'T LET THEM!!! Just keep thinking Onwards & Downwards!!

So for this week my total loss on WISH since April 1st is 39 pounds!! I'm 1 pound away from the next clippie and it WILL BE MINE next week! :) And as a special treat I wore my size 12W shorts I bought on sale at Talbots (their clothes are generous and it's really a 14 in the real world) but it felt great to put them on and wear something that might be considered a Large and not an Extra Large! :)

Great job you losers- you're success stories and challenges really keep me focused on the goal! AWESOME!! Only about 6 more weeks left to summer- let's make these some great losing weeks!! :) Oh and run out and buy those smaller sized bathing suits for next year- they're on sale and will be great motivators!!

well, last week was kind of a weird one for me. i gained 2 pounds due to poor eating habits and too many carbs a few days, but i lost 2 pounds, so it's a wash. but i did measure this morning and lost about an inch and a half here and there...

we were bad one night last week. DH has had a craving for restaurant made chinese so we went to our favorite take out place and got some for home. i was very careful about no rice or noodles...and avoided teriyaki sauce like the plague! i got what i normally get...mostly meat with a few veggies (broccoli mainly) in a light sauce. and even though i didn't eat all of it, i'm pretty sure i was over on my carb count for the day!

i never went off plan and eat something totally illegal, but i'm sure that i exceeded carb counts a few times. but that's ok...i gained a little, but lost it in the same week! and i still lost an inch and a half!

and i was a very good girl when we went to the fair last friday night too! although the temptation was strong (VERY STRONG!!!) i didn't eat anything that was bad for me! and since i was so good, DH took me to hooters (LOVE their wings) for a treat! so i have about 10 wings, unbreaded, and soaked in their mild sauce.

hope next week looks up for me!! onward and downward my friends...

Well it has been a very stressful week for my family and I, so I guess I fell off the wagon and started eating junk. I think I caught myself in time since I only gained .5 lbs. but Saturday we are off to the Magic for a cruise. Hopefully I won't gain too much. If it is hot enough I can sweat it off.

Everyone keep up the good work.

is to report maintaining again. Which I 'm actually pleased with as last week I avoided this thread since I had eaten way toooo much and BF and blah blah blah and was up 3 lbs. Well, today I'm happy to report that nasty 3 lbs is gone!

Funny thing is I feel bloated this morning, so maybe I'll be reporting a loss next week! wouldn't that be something after about a month!

I have a couple outings in the end of Aug/first of Sept that are motivating me to loss these last 4 darn pounds!!

I am happy to report a 1lb loss again this week, it seems like that is my number! I am down 17lbs since 7/2/03 when I started WISH/Atkins. And, I am actually starting to feel it--I am longing to try on some size 14's because I think I could get them on right about now, but I promised myself I would let that be a "reward" when I get to 20lbs lost.

Have a great week everyone, stick to those plans!

I didn't have a chance to post the past two weeks because of an extremely hectic schedule and a vacation to my sisters house. It was a hard 2 weeks with a lot of cheating and extra carbs (I was very naughty and had 3 donuts LOL) but I really jumped back on the program again on Sat. and can report a net loss of 1 pound for the past 2 weeks. I am happy about this because I thought I would actually still be up a pound or 2. So I have now lost a total of 7 pounds! Usually I gain a few pounds in the summer or really struggle to maintain my weight but this summer I am actually losing weight thanks to all the wonderful support from everyone here!! I am hoping to have my 10 pound clippie by Labor Day!

I tried something different. I increased my carb intake to see how "bad" I could be. EXCUSE USED: We have been having a lot of events here lately, I've beend getting bored, I wanted to "celebrate" my 20 pound loss, had a minor stressful time so food was an alternative, and just needed a change. I ate bad things carb-wise and knew that I would alter my system.

In my "experimenting" I am glad to report that I did not gain! I even can say that I lost ONE WHOLE POUND! WHEW, I am glad because I know I was in danger.

Now I am not tempting fate this week. I am back in my groove and hope that my system is not too upset by my transgression--there are transgressions on the very near horizon and I know that I will participate in something bad very soon. I will just jump back and keep in my groove. I liked the idea I read last week that we will all have times when we get off our program. The key is to make it back very soon and don't stray for long.

I went to the doctor yesterday and will have blood report soon. I look forward to a good report (keeping my fingers crossed here).

I will take measurements this week (I already cheated a tiny bit and it looks like I have another inch all gone!)

Good luck everyone. Keep on keepin' on! You can do it! You are worth it.

Better late than never, right?!

I started Atkins and joined WISH yesterday, so this is day 2 of induction. So far, so good. I think I'm lucky because while I AM a huge caffeine addict, I haven't been drinking coffee regularly for awhile, and I also don't have a real sweet tooth. My problem is definitely the starches!!!

So I figured I'd pop in and check in and introduce myself. My name is Karen and I'm engaged to MIB999999, we generally haunt the Universal board, but we're also Disney fans (you can maybe tell by my screename!) I read alot on the Disney side, but don't post all that often, I haven't posted anywhere all that often lately it seems...I think I've been in a rut  So now I'm hoping that eating healthier and rubbing elbows with all of you amazing people will help keep me motivated, especially in trying times!

You are all the reason I finally got off my butt to do this....I'm just astounded at all of the successes and courage I see on these WISH boards! So thank you all in advance!

Oh, I have a goal to lose 55 pounds so I can squeeze myself into a wedding gown that I will be proud to have pictures of me in, rather than embarrassed!

Have a great week, everyone!

I hope I'll be a loser soon! :)

Karen :smooth:

I lost 3.6 lbs. today! Wahoo!!! That put me over my mini-goal of reaching 50 lbs. lost (I'm at 53 now) and it puts me over half way to my final weight loss goal (I have/had a lot to loose!)

Now I'll have to come up with another mini-goal!

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone, whether you lost, gained a little bit or stayed the same!!! I'm proud of each and every one of you!!

Checkin' in on my weekly weigh in day.....

I totally did NOT deserve to lose any weight this week. A trip to the Ohio State Fair should have done me in! Of course, all foods were legal on my plan, it's just that the quantities I ate were way off plan! By the time I had that second deep fried Twinkie, I was DEFINITELY not even the least bit hungry. So I was pleasantly surprised when my weight today was down 1/2 pound. Not as much as I have been losing every week, but considering the alternative, I'm pleased.

I've also had a stressful week. Got a call Tuesday morning, my nephew was having emergency surgery that day. Packed up the kids and we rushed to Cleveland to see him (got there 15 minutes before they took him back to the O.R.) Stayed up there and saw him the next day, he was doing fine! Up and around and starting to eat again. So I gave him my love and came home. I was only home a few hours when I got another call. My other nephew, this one in North Carolina, had been admitted to the hospital with meningitis. They were ruling out bacterial meningitis. I did get ahold of my bil late last night. DN has back ache, bad headache, fever, light insensitive....and they are pumping him up with antibiotics and waiting for the final results from his spinal tap. I'm waiting on pins and needles and trying my hardest to give this over to God, but I keep taking it back and worrying. Hopefully today I'll get some sort of update. I'm trying my darndest to fill my worry time with prayer instead of food. :)

If you've got a sec to say a prayer for my nephews, I'd be much appreciated. Now, back to regular life (actually, trying to catch up and prepare in case I need to rush off to N.C.)

God bless!

I thought I would check back and read what I have missed. I posted but did not take the time to see how everyone is doing.
Welcome Karen...glad you came over to our side! You will find that the WISH is the best place to be. Everyone, losers, gainers, maintainers...positively everyone is fantastic here.

ohiominnie -- Positive energy, thoughts and prayers your way. It certainly sounds as though you have got stress.

All my WISH friends--thanks for being here. I do look forward to reading your posts--good and bad stories. We can do it!

Keep on keepin' on.

OK ! I am late checking in -- busy week. However, I am finally down those silly five pounds I have been fighting with. I weighed in this morning and have kept them off for 4 days -- call it official!!

I now can advance to "go" and collect my #10 chippie!! To this date I have lost 22 pounds and 8 inches!!

I am in hopes to drop 3 more pounds (and keep it off) for the start of school. I have two weeks--I know that I can do it!!

I get a new clippie this morning!!!

I had my WI and I am down another 1.5 pounds this morning, a WISH total of 20.5 and grand total of 49.5. I am happy with that along with fitting into the size "8" jeans:D . When I first began this journey, I never imagined being at this point and it feels so good. I am feeling healthier and have more energy (most days:D ).

Jimmy also did his WI this morning and he was down 1 pound for a total WISH loss of 10.5 so far.

Keep up the great work everyone as we're on this journey to being healthy and feeling great.

<b>SnackyStacky</b> Well, you must be in North Carolina by now. I hope you have a terrific trip and I'll bet you don't do as badly as you anticipate.

You just amaze me the way you continue to lose significant amounts of weight even while you are on maintenance. What a success story you are.

Thanks for posting the check in thread this week. I have missed the last two, at least, and I consider that severe deprivation. Mother is doing so much better, I have a little time to read this and I'm going to post a few replies at a time.

I'm proud of you, Dan. You are my inspiration.

<b>padisneylover</b> Okay, so you had a small relapse. Two pounds in two weeks isn't all that terrible. You are back on track now and that is all that is important. You will drop that two pounds and more very soon. All of your WISH friends plan to help you do that.

Hang in there and don't give up. You can do this, I know you can.

<b>PartyofSix</b> WOW! Another 3 pounds gone forever. You are doing so well. I wish I was as small as you are, I'll bet you look amazing. I couldn't wear size ten even when I <i>was</i> as small as you are. What a great feeling that must be, sweetie.

Be proud of yourself. I'm so proud <i>of</i> you. You have motivated me to work harder at reaching my goal.

<b>maryliz</b> Darn it! I missed you. You are probably breathing in the magic by now. I hope you have <b>magical</b> trip.

How great that you can go offplan and <i>still</i> lose a whole .5 pounds. I'm really proud of you.

<b>Kelsie</b> I'm pretty sure that gaining 3 pounds in one week is not really possible so I'll bet most of it is fluid.

You're back now and back on track, right? You will get rid of that 3 pounds and more very soon, I'm sure. I love Yellowstone, I hope you had a great time.

<b>firecracker</b> Okay, now see??? "Grrrr" and losing 4 pounds in one week just don't belong in the same post ;)

You are doing just great and I hope you are feeling proud of yourself because I'm sure proud <i>of</i> you. At this rate, you will be at goal before you know it.

<b>Debbie</b> Okay, my friend have a <b>magical</b> trip. Just remember, if you aren't planning on not gaining then no fair pouting about a gain when you get back home.

Another 3 pounds gone forever. I'm really proud of you, sweetie.

<b>KathyTX</b> What a pretty new clippie you are sporting these days. Your success is a motivation for me. Good job.

You are becoming very wise. I agree with you about catching those small gains right away. Excellent advice.

Be proud of yourself, cutie. I'm so very proud <i>of</i> you.

<b>vfb2girls</b> Good for you! Gaining a pound then immediately losing it is marvelous success, don't you think?

You sound very determined and motivated, I'll bet you do great this week. Just think about all that "running around" you get to do while keeping that grandbaby.

<b>mum4jenn</b> How great is that? Not much exercise and you still lost two whole pounds. Good job! Just think how well you will do if you increase that exercise?

Be proud of yourself, sweetie. We are all proud <i>of</i> you!

<b>Disney_1derland</b> WOW! I only lost 5 pounds my first week of induction. Losing 7.5 pounds in one week is just awesome progress.

What I think is even better than losing 7.5 pounds is that you lost 5 inches just from your waist. That is your goal, right? To get smaller. Look how successful you have been.

I sure hope you are feeling proud of yourself, I'm feeling proud <i>of</i> you!

<b>NCRedding</b> How wonderful that you had a cruise and only gained two pounds. I'll bet that is mostly fluid retention, too. Now that you are back home and back on track you are on your way to goal once again. Good job!

<b>*Flower*</b> Congratulations on that beautiful new clippie. Doesn't it just make you feel proud? I sure hope so, it makes me feel proud <i>of</i> you!

Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it.

<b>lovingthemouse</b> WHOA! You lost 10 pounds in just one week? AWESOME!!!! What a success you are and what an inspiration for me.

I'm just so proud of you and I'm really glad you are part of my support group.

<b>Tiggerkeeper</b> YIKES! You lost 4 pounds in one week? You are just tearing up that road to goal. What a great job you are doing with this weight loss stuff.

Are you feeling proud? I hope so, all of your WISH friends are proud of you!

<i>Everyone is just doing so well. Even those of you who gained had enough determination to come here to WISH and post to the check in thread. That says a lot about how determined you are.

I'm proud of each and every one of you! I'll be back later, I hope, to post to the people who checked in on page two. </i>

I haven't posted on the weekly check in thread for a while as I have been away or on vacation, but I did read it each week and I was so proud of all of you!! :) It makes me so happy to be part of this group! Each one of you has so much determination and willpower...I just love reading everything!

Most of you know I maintained this past week, being on vacation...I didn't weigh myself yet without my shoes yet, so I might be down some more, but I will find out on Tuesday when I do my weigh in...

Great job everyone!! Keep up the great work! :)

Okay, I'm back. Mother is doing even better today. This makes me happy. Reading about my WISH friends progress last week makes me happy too.

I'm determined to finish this check in thread by tomorrow night. only two more pages to go!

<b>becka</b> I think I have missed a few of your check ins, WOW! You have lost 34 pounds altogether? EXCELLENT!

Another 2.5 pounds gone forever, what a great feeling that must be. You are doing just great. I'll bet you continue to lose weight when you are feeling 100% better. You sound newly determined and motivated, you are on your way to goal for sure!

Be proud of yourself, sweetie, I'm proud <i>of</i> you. Hope you are feeling 100% better very soon.

<b>Harambe</b> How great is that? You enjoyed a vacation and maintained your weight, that is impressive success, my friend.

I know how you feel about earning that 5 pound clipart. I think it took me 6 weeks to earn mine. You'll get it soon, just buckle down and exercise a little bit more.

Be proud of yourself, you're doing great and all of your WISH friends are proud <i>of</i> you!

<b>elisebutt</b> Look at you go, cutie. I can see that I missed a few significant check ins. How wonderful to see that pretty 50 pound loss clipart in your signature.

I'm so proud of you for pursuing classes at university and for working out so well. The soreness will leave you soon and besides...the success is <i>worth</i> a little soreness, don't you think?

I'm really proud of you, keep up the great work.

<b>bliss4us</b> Another pound gone forever! You are doing extremely well, considering you only have 10 more pounds to lose. I'm really proud of you, you have a great positive attitude and that keeps <i>me</i> motivated ;)

I'm glad you are part of my support group. Your success helps me stay focused.

<b>ead79</b> Losing .2 pounds is progress sweetie. Just think, you might have lost nothing at all. I think you're doing a fine job. Any weeks coming up with <i>no</i> offplan days? That might speed up the losing part, don't you think?

Hope you enjoyed your lunch with friends.

<b>mishoe01</b> WOO HOO!!! 1.2 pounds gone in just one week. What a great job you are doing with this getting healthy stuff.

Be proud of yourself you have a wonderfully positive attitude and that is going to insure that you reach your goal!

<b>addicted_to_WDW</b> Hold it! <i>"Blech"</i>???? You maintained your weight and you are saying "Blech" about that? You would have preferred to <i>gain</i> maybe? Nope, sorry, maintaining our weight, especially during a difficult week is something to be proud of, <i>I'm</i> proud of you, be proud of <i>yourself</i>.

But a quick question. You say you had a hungry week. Have you tested to be sure that you are in ketosis? That might explain your hunger if you aren't in ketosis. Try a few days on induction and see if you don't lose that hunger problem.

I'll bet the next couple of weeks show you the progress you hope for, just hang in there, you are really doing very well. Make sure you measure yourself. Sometimes on the Atkins plan when you don't get lighter you get smaller instead. Honest :)

<b>Tinkbell</b> WooHoo!!! Looking good, cutie. Love that new clippie and I think you are doing a great job. 3 pounds a week is wonderful progress--I would be so happy to be as successful as you are.

Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it. Be proud of yourself, all of your WISH friends are proud <i>of</i> you.

<b>msteddom</b> If TOM is imminent and you maintained your weight that must mean that you actually lost a pound or two. Good job!

Have a <b>magical</b> trip.

<b>Beastlover</b> I hope you are painfree by now. Maintaining your weight despite having general anesthesia is great. I'll bet you drop a couple of pounds in a week or two when the fluid and everything goes away.

Endometriosis is such a joy, isn't it? I'm actually rolling my eyes here, I experienced all of that stuff for 20 years. The best thing about menopause is no more endometriosis. I hope your symptoms improve after this surgery.

<b>LuvTigger</b> That's great! Another 1.5 pounds gone forever despite being sick and taking meds that can mess up your weight loss efforts. I hope you are all well now and back on the weight loss track. You did great this past week. Love that new clippie, it looks great on you. Be proud of yourself because I'm sure proud <i>of</i> you.

<b>DaddyDon</b> You are tearing up that road to goal. How great to lose 4 pounds in one week. You are definitely a DIS success story.

Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it. Looks like you owe Jenn a trip to Outback to celebrate. After all, she showed you the way to WISH, she's earned a celebration :)

<b>NancyK</b> Well, look at you! You ate offplan foods and not only did you maintain but you are wearing a smaller size. What an inspiration you are for me.

You are back on plan, now, right? You will be dropping more pounds this week I'll bet. I'm so happy and proud for you.

<b>MaMudduck</b> I'm so happy and proud for you maintaining your weight even though you haven't been able to work out as usual and you have travelled so much. You have a great attitude and wonderful determination. What a help you are for me. Thanks for posting this, you give me hope for myself.

Have a great trip and make the best food choices you can. I'll bet you do just fine.

<i>Thanks for posting this week, everyone. Reading this thread helps me stay motivated and on track</i>

<b>perfectmatch300</b> Nancy, you are a new person. Your attitude is so positive. Amazing what a little success can do for our attitude, huh? I'm so glad you have found a plan that works better for you.

Love that gorgeous new clippie, it looks great on you. Don't get too attached, I'll bet you are trading up to that 25 pound loss clippie very soon. I'm just so proud and happy for you. Hope you are feeling proud of <i>yourself</i>. I'll bet your dh is feeling even more proud of you than he did before your WISH success. He was feeling pretty proud of you already, though, I don't know if it's possible for him to feel <i>more</i> proud :)

<b>mowsie dreamer</b> I know exactly how you feel about those ups and downs. I have them too, frequently. I retain a lot of fluid, I'll bet that is what happens to you too. Just try to remember, if the scale shows a gain it isn't fat.

Losing 4.5 pounds in one week is very motivating and empowering, isn't it? You have motivated <i>me</i> too. Thank you, my friend. Keep this up and you will be at goal sooner than you think. Don't forget to measure yourself. Seeing the inches melt away helps take the sting out of seeing a faux gain on the scale.

I'm proud of you. Be proud of <i>yourself</i>!

<b>jenanderson</b> Another 1.5 pounds gone forever. Good job! The slower we lose our weight the better chance we have of keeping it off forever. I think you are doing great.

Don't forget to measure yourself. That is the best indicator of success, really. Your goal is to get smaller, getting lighter is a side effect of that, so don't forget to measure yourself.

I love your attitude, you have a winning attitude and you are insuring your own success by being so positive. Be proud of yourself. We are all proud <i>of</i> you!

<b>MelanieC</b> Look at you go, cutie! You are doing so well. Only .8 pounds away from that 10 pound loss clippie. Are you feeling proud? You'd better be, you are a <b>success</b> and I'm proud <i>of</i> you.

I'm so glad you are part of my support group. You help keep me motivated!

<b>tiggerlover</b> You lost 3 pounds last week? WOW! I have really missed a lot of celebrations, haven't I? I think I wouldn't mind maintaining my weight, either, if I had lost 3 pounds the week before. Good job. You are just doing so well.

I'm just so happy and proud for you, be proud of <i>yourself</i>!

<b>Claire4dpins</b> Another 1.5 pounds gone forever. I think you're doing great. Don't get impatient, the weight will come off as long as you stay onplan and exercise.

One thing I had to watch myself about after the first two weeks was remembering to measure my salad dressing and to count my eggs into my 20 gram daily total. I seemed to have this idea that eggs were a "free" food and they are basically one gram each. I also have this terrible habit of using more than two tablespoons of salad dressing on my salads. I was a victim of "carb creep" :(

Don't forget to measure yourself. I know we like to rely on the scale to measure our progress but the true measure of success is our size and we can only see that progress if we measure ourselves. Have you measured yourself?

Hang in there. You will drop the weight. It is just taking longer than you hoped. Be proud of yourself, you are making progress. All of your WISH friends are proud <i>of</i> you.

We have chat tomorrow evening at 7 pm GMT. I sure hope you can join us. I'm going to be hosting for the first time in a long while. Looking forward to it.

<b>wdwnutze</b> WOW! Another 3.5 pounds gone forever. I covet that gold clipart in your signature. It's taking me a very long time to earn it but it's only a matter of time and you've proven to me that I can do it too. That's such a nice thing to do.

I hope you are feeling proud of yourself because I'm sure feeling proud <i>of</i> you.

<b>Kabuli1</b> Does it make it easier to avoid the check in thread when you don't lose? I'm sorry you stay away when the scale doesn't show you the number you want to see but if that is what works best for you then you are doing the best thing for you.

Look how successful you are. So close to that 20 pound loss clippie. You were looking very good when I saw you in July, you must be stunning by now. Be proud of yourself and keep on keeping on. You are on your way to goal and I'm sure proud <i>of</i> you.

<b>lmhall2000</b> I <b>like</b> your attitude. It helps to remember that it our goal to get smaller and now lighter. Our <i>size</i> is the real indicator of success.

You are doing so well with this, are you feeling proud of yourself? I sure hope so, I'm very happy and proud <i>for</i> you.

<b>scarlett873</b> I am just so very proud of you for going to that fair and resisting all of those wonderful temptations. Look how strong and determined you are. Hope you are feeling proud of yourself.

Next time you have a hankering for chinese food ask if they can prepare your meat and vegetables without sugar and/or cornstarch in the sauce. I'll bet they can and then you will stay 100% on plan.

You did a great job this week.

<b>lisajl</b> Losing weight slowly is the sure way to success. You are doing great. You have lost another 2.5 pounds <i>and</i> better yet, you have lost inches. That's the most important thing in my opinion. Losing those inches and getting smaller.

You are doing a great job with this and I hope you are feeling proud of yourself. All of your WISH friends are sure proud <i>of</i> you.

<b>lynr</b> Oh honey, <i>tell</i> me about stressful weeks. I've had a few of them recently.

Have a wonderful cruise. I loved the Magic. You are going to have a ball! Hurry back and tell us all about it.

<b>ohMom</b> I'm sorry you felt as though you had to avoid the check in thread last week. That makes me feel sad. I think it is helpful to come here and "confess" or whatever, sometimes that can be motivating.

Glad to hear you have banished the BF. Losing those last 4 pounds is going to be slow but you will do it. I know you will. You are a WISHer after all and you will succeed. Look at how well you have done so far.

<b>Mom2Princesses</b> You know what? Losing 1 pound a week is wonderful progress. I would be thrilled to lose one pound every week. I think you are doing great.

Don't forget to measure yourself. That is a true measure of your success, you know. Seeing that you are getting smaller :) I'll bet you earn your reward very soon. I'm sure of it. Be proud of yourself, you're doing a great job.

{{{HUGS}}} to those sweet girls of yours.

<b>Cheryl N. WI</b> Look at you! You were "very naughty" and you still lost an average of .5 pounds each week? You couldn't have been all <i>that</i> naughty. I'm very proud of you for getting right back on track when you got home. Hope you are feeling proud of yourself. You're doing great!

<i>I'm so glad to be able to read and post to the check in again. I'm working on it slowly but I'll bet I get it finished before tomorrow night. To everyone who showed a gain, hang in there and don't give up, it's the only way to succeed. If you maintained your weight, be glad...it's so much better than gaining. For all of our <i>losers</i>, be proud, you are WISH success stories!</i>

<b>geetey</b> Another pound gone forever! Good job sweetie. You are just making steady progress. Love that positive attitude, too. I covet your gold clipart, I'm going to have one of those someday.

I'll bet you show a larger loss after TOM. Losing a pound despite that is awesome and I'll bet you actually lost more than 1 pound. Can't wait to find out. Be proud of yourself. I'm proud <i>of</i> you and you are a success!

<b>Tiger Lily 03</b> You couldn't have been <i>too</i> bad if you lost a whole pound. Good for you. You have a good attitude and a wonderfully positive attitude. I'm so glad you are part of my support group. You keep me motivated.

Good luck with your future "transgressions". I'll bet you don't do as badly as you anticipate.

<b>MsDisney</b> Welcome to WISH. Did you post to the challenge thread too? I hope you will do so if you haven't already. That is my guide for making the roster. I'm really glad you decided to join us, sweetie. You sound so motivated and determined. You are a perfect addition to my support group.

I'm anxious to see how much you lose your first week of induction. Giving up refined carbohydrates has been the best thing I ever did. Never gave up my coffee, though--shhh, don't tell on me ;)

<b>Liz</b> Look at you! I love that pretty platinum clipart, so pretty. I want one. I took the challenge after losing 20 pounds so it will be a while before I get one but I'm going to earn one, I'm sure of it. You have shown me I can do that and I really appreciate that Liz.

Losing 3.6 pounds in one week is just fantastic. You are just burning up that road to goal and I'm so happy and proud for you, be proud of <i>yourself</i>!

<b>ohiominnie</b> You are amazing. You ate deep fried twinkies and you <i>still</i> lost .5 pounds. Way to go!

Sorry to hear that your nephews have been ill. I hope they both are 100% better very soon. Prayers have been said.

<b>bunnyfoo</b> Good for you. Another pound gone forever, isn't that a great feeling? You are a great success and I'm proud of you. Congratulations on earning that WW ribbon.

<b>travel with kids</b> Congratulations on earning a new clippie. But where is it? I would have added that so fast Kelsie's head would <i>still</i> be spinning, LOL. Good job this week.

I'll bet you reach your goal before school starts. I'm sure of it, you've got what it takes to succeed. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself because all of your WISH friends are proud <i>of</i> you!

<b>Poly Pal</b> I'll bet that one pound is fluid. If you have been onplan and exercising it couldn't be a true gain. I gain fluid all the time, no fun but not a true gain. I'll bet it's gone soon. Just don't give up. I'm proud of you posting here even though you didn't like what the scale said. Good job!

<b>jimmytammy</b> Way to go! Another 1.5 pounds gone forever <i>and</i> you have earned that 20 pound clippie. You are sounding proud and strong. I'm so glad because I'm feeling proud <i>of</i> you.

Jimmy is doing well too. I know you are feeling proud for him. You two keep this up and you will be at goal sooner than you expect.

<b>MomE@Home</b> WOO HOO!!!! You've earned a new clipart. You are doing a great job with this. Do you know how to add the clipart to your signature? If you do the url is: http://www.disboards.com/wish/5wish.gif

If you need help send Kelsie, glo or me a pm and we'll find you some help. You could also ask for help on the technical support board.

I sure hope you are feeling proud of yourself. You are making wonderful progress and all of your WISH friends are proud <i>of</i> you.

<b>Beanie</b> Well, you are home now. Back on track and focused on goal, right? I know you are, you are too determined to not be back on track. You must have made some wise food choices to maintain your weight even though you were on vacation or away. I'm really proud of you.

Good luck at next weigh in, I'll bet you show a loss.

<b>Twang</b> WOO HOO!!! 3 pounds gone forever and you broke through that plateau. Excellent! You are really doing well. Love your positive attitude, too. That great attitude will see you through to goal.

Staying on plan for 7 weeks with no loss showing on the scale can be frustrating but you persevered and didn't give up. I'm so proud of you for doing that, good job!

<b>DaddyDon</b> Hee, hee, hee. Good for you, she deserved it. Outback serves my favorite Atkins friendly meal.

I think I'm all caught up. It's so good to be able to visit WISH again. The emotional roller coaster has been a killer but mother is just doing so well now. No more 24 hour watches. In fact, she is insisting that I not cancel my 8/19 trip and unless something changes, I'm <i>not</i> going to cancel it.

I'm so glad that each and every one of you is part of my support group. Reading about your progress every week helps keep me on the road to goal and I appreciate you all.

Kath, I'm using royal purple because you are just like royalty around here! Your words, unending encouragment, chastising when we need it, and not letting us let a week of gain get us down are such a part of each one of our successes. You've taught me how to look at the larger picture when i want to focus on the small failures. You reminded me to measure with a tape (which has saved me many a week when the scale stayed the same). And even though life around you has been hectic and possibly unbearable- you still manage to find the time and energy to encourage us all to a healthier life. Thank you Kath, and I hope you know many of my pounds are dedicated to you!!
