Just wondering about this SOG rate thing... someone please explain what this stands for and how you would go about qualifying for it !

SOG stands for Shades of Green. This is a Disney property that is soley for US Military personel and their families. I know that they offer rates dependant on ones rank in the military. I have heard that it is a lovely resort and it is located next to the Disney golf courses. Disney is so awesome to do this for the men and women who serve our country!!!! Hope this helps. SOG stands for Shades of Green. It used to be the Golf Resort at WDW and now it is the Hotel for retired and active military personnel. It is a very beautiful place.

you guys blew it for me, had the spouse believing that SOG stood for Sexy Ohio Guy.:D

DoD(dept. of defense) civilian employees are also eligible to stay at Shades of Green. They are also charged based on their salary grade level. This is a beautiful resort with really large rooms. It used to be a Disney Resort(the Disney Inn) before it was sold to the govt. for military vacation usage.:D

SOG overflow rates are what we like! Great discounts to Disney resorts when we book through SOG. Reservists qualify too.
