Happy Birthday Tina!:jester: :Pinkbounc :bounce:  :jester: :Pinkbounc :jester:
We had Halloween here on Saturday night and then had our Fall Festival at Church last night. It was fun. The best I saw was a 2 girls that live in my neighborhood that dressed as Venus and Serena Williams. Very cute!
We are getting so close!!!! I am going to try to pack some more stuff today. Will see what happens! Still can't find my hang up bag though!
Have a good one everyone.

Well, we just pulled down an old suitcase we have had for a while now. It is huge! LOL Was going to buy a new one, but couldn't find a good deal. The only thing we found was half the size of this one for $50. So we figured since it only had 1 small piece of duct tape on it (covering a tear caused by the airlines) we could use the $50 on the ship! LOL
I have a birth certificate ?....Aubrey's bc that the state sent me states that it is a certified copy etc...and has the seal on it, however it is hard to see the seal. You can see it if you turn it over or if you run your fingers across it you can feel it. It is identical to mine except that mine you can see the seal from a mile away. I guess maybe they just pressed down harder on mine?? Anyway, do you think I need to get a replacement for hers or do you think hers is ok? TIA
Hope you are all having a good evening. I'll check in tomorrow.

My DW and I will be celebrating our 31st Anniversary.
John, I am calling Guiness Book of records, so far there is no listing for the most Mountain Dew consumed in a week, maybe you will go down in history.
ABC had a special on tonight about the home makeover show, they had the Disney Magic on just to tease us.

I'm stressing out about my Palo reservations. Wish I knew my rotation now!! I thought I had this all figured out months ago but now I'm not sure.
Still haven't started packing. I think that will be tomorrow. Need a haircut, pedicure and manicure. Getting my teeth cleaned on Monday (long overdue and would like something close to white for all those photos that will be snapped!!). Vacation isn't supposed to be stressful!!!

Adisneymama, Aubrey's BC should be fine. If you can feel the seal when you run your finger over it than they will too. Don't waste your money on another one:earsgirl: :earsboy:

My DD's DMIL and DFIL have decided to go so we are now a party of 13:Pinkbounc :bounce: !!! My family still thinks I'm nuts because I'm so obsessed but I think they are getting just as excited as me as we get closer because they are starting to talk about it more and more. We also had a problem with the high school about letting my two teens take off from school. They gave us the third degree.

My family is also getting very excited (just beginning to catch up to me!). I just recently informed my DDs 5th grade teacher of our trip (by e-mail) and asked for any extra work for my DD. His reply was to have a great time but school policy is not to provide any work during illegal absences. I saw him today and he told me not to worry about it as DD is a good student but he also provided me "off the record" with some things for her to do on the plane ride down from N.Y.

Okay, that's the way I have it on my spreadsheet. So is it that the Captain's Gala is actually Semi-Formal or is it that the Captain's Gala is on Sunday? Obviously I'm still confused. I had it as each of first three nights is the regular menu for each restaurant (whichever one you are in) and then the last four are the different menus but everyone has the same each night. Is that right?

From what I was told by DCL, you don't have to have a raised seal. Some states don't do them at all(sounds like maybe your state is one of them) as long as you have an "original" not a photocopy you are fine. Sounds like the color seal would prove it is not a photocopy. Does it also say this is to certify this is a copy of.....blah,blah with the signature (or stamp) of the person certifying it? IF so I really think you are fine. Call DCL if your still not sure, but I wouldn't panic. Didn't mean to cause a panic on here. Sorry!
Yes, we voted today! Will probably stay up all night waiting on the results too.::yes::

Tara, check the matrix on hanno's website. from memory, i believe it goes menu/Best of Menu (formal)/menu/tropicali-pirate/menu/Captn's Gala menu/Small World menu/McDonald's on I-95. amid tears.
ok, re: birth certificate. The whole raised seal issue on these boards had me freaked. So I called DCL, described DH's BC, and they said it would be fine. Of course, I still have fears that someone at PC will say it's no good, but the reality is, it IS his original, city-issued BC, still in the original envelope w/ the 1963 post mark. If I hadn't read about the "raised seal" deal, i never would've panick ed in the first place. oy.
re: New Guy... WELCOME!!! :wave2: :hyper: :Pinkbounc To save you from reading: we are fun folk, all ages, singles and couples, some with kids (small to grown), some without, scattered all across North America (welcome back Heather!). So, something here for everyone! If you are as cruise-obsessed as we are, you will be in good company! Dismeet 2:30 on embarkation day in the Promenade lounge.
How many hours do I have left to pack???

Don't you need your luggage tags to curbside check-in???
Don't you need Docs to get into the terminal???

If I remember correctly, we get the luggage tags at the curb when we check in. Last year, I think we just showed our ID before going through the security checkpoint, and then we got all of our paperwork in the terminal.

Anyone from NY on our cruise?
Had to go to the city today for a security show, we usually park at the ferry terminal, go across the river and get off about 1 block from the Jacobs Javits Center.
Instead, I went over the GW Bridge and ended up somewhere near 179th street, (wow) We live in the country and the traffic is a rush. I just can't imagine how the people put up with that every day.
Now I really need a vacation.
Let do the single digit boogie:laughing: :jumping1: :cool1: :jumping1:  :rockband:

Well, my computer is running at minimum performance levels now. At least I was able to catch up on the latest.
If all goes well (and it isn't), we leave Saturday! We don't check into OKW until Monday, but we want to stop in Franklin, KY and visit some friends, see the plant. But, it's been one giant hurdle after another this week. May just leave Sunday. Send some Pixie Dust my way, help me leave this place behind on time!! :sunny:

Hi all! It's been ages since I've taken the time to post. HAPPY BIRTHDAY (although it's really late) to all those that I missed; Tina, Payton and Mike?
I'm so excited, now that people are almost ready to leave it's crazy close. I can't wait to meet everyone at the DisMeet. I even had a tee-shirt made that says rocadonismom and has pictures of my two "boys" on it. Now all I need are my documents... I spoke to someone at the reservation desk on Wednesday though and they found them and said they would 2 day ship them. So hopefully tomorow I can be doing the document dance as well.  :Pinkbounc
I'm just jealous of all of you that have alredy packed. I finally went out last night and found a dress to wear for the formal night. I think I can pack next Wednesday, working 12 and 13 hour shifts every day between now and then... I thrive on strees though, so it's all good.
For those that are going to be at Disney the night before... I believe we are having dinner at the Hoop-de-doo review (parental figures, feel free to jump in if this is not correct). If anyone is interested in meeting up there, just let me know. I also know that we are on the 11:30 shuttle that leaves from the Beach Club. Okay, that's it for now.
How do y'all chat? I'd be interested if that's something I can figure out. LOL

Roc, my family loves Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue! I hope you have a good time! It's at Fort Wilderness, and you usually need to buy your tix in advance (always seems to be sold out in advance - it's a dinner show)
We chat via AIM. Usually if we see a critical mass of our buddies are on line, someone will start a chat room. Tuesday night usually around 9pm Eastern (all you AIM experts, feel free to correct/expand!) :sunny:

The cat. LOL She hates riding in the car and hates even more being in the pet taxi. She howles soooooo pitiful.
We paid for the adoption of a brand new kitten today. He will be ready for delivery after we return home. Now we just have to come up with a name for him. Maybe we can think up a good one while we're having a ball.

Safe travels everyone! I think the powers that be have determined to work me to death before my departure time on Friday...don't know if I can make it til then....:worried:
on a lighter note, perhaps you'll get a chuckle from my Latin encounter this morning (just proof that they may own me til Thursday evening, but they can't control my mind! well, neither can I for that matter!):
As I was poring over boorish legal documents this morning, the drafting lawyer felt it necessary to pepper the docs with Latin legal phrases/terms. :sad2: It's never a good thing if I have to refer to my legal dictionary. So, I keep muttering the phrase "mutatis mutandis" to remember it whilst I look it up. Well, you know where this is going...by the time I got the dusty old legal dictionary off the dusty shelf I was muttering not "mutatis mutandis" but "hakuna matata"! Yep, shows where my mind is!!! :cool1:
btw, Hakuna Matata wasn't in my dictionary; time for an updated edition! ::yes::

just as good, LInda!:earsgirl: It's a concept, kinda means to treat something the same throughout. For instance, if you were PLAPLAP on a 7 night (why...you are!!!), and decided to stay on for that next week (while continuing the rotation, so Saturday is now LAPLAPL) and decide to stay on infinitum (you go, Girl!!!), the rotation would continue to move accordingly.
Or something like that.

We are leaving (I hope) about 1:30. My daughter is a first grader and her teacher gave us sort of a hard time about her missing a week of school so I don't want to pull her out too early on Friday. I'd like to leave at noon, but I'm thinking it'll be a bit later than that. It's about 5 hours on the road for us. Looks like you'll be long past us if you are leaving at 5. How's Aubrey's eye? Did it all clear up?

Hi! Had to log on to check the Hannomax site for room numbers. The DIStag ears have been hanging out on the room next to us for 2 days...I'm assuming it's meant to be on our door though and just got mixed up or somethin'. So, I will be moving it this afternoon and the tag will continue.
Hope you all are having a blast...looks like no ones checked in here so you probably won't be reading this. :) LOL
Off to enjoy the St. Martin sun!

It was "MAGIC"al meeting so many of you on the ship....
Hannosmom - ChiChiHoney and Ed and Debbie - the download KING traveling with the Mickey Headbopping Queen...a special DISser and the "best" sister ever!
KYCruiseCrazy John & KyCruisinSusan and 2DD's - WHO wants to be a WINNER??? and Got any new pins?
feenie and DH - Bonjovi- HAPPY Birthday
house_of_princesses and the Vista Spa's Magical Guest of the week - Happy Birthday Becca....and WHAT is Don doing?
cjsmom97 - the infamous Jeanna! (who is really not AAA Kim) and were we REALLY that bad Rick?
TinaRN and Rhett - hope you are feeling better, honey......
PoohJen, DH (Pintrading King who does not look like a Pooh Waffle)) and her "men" - is there ANYTHING you didn't do?
Corie Dorie and DH - the BEST pirate on the ship! I think she was stalking me - once we met she was everywhere
Cantsitstill and DH - also really great pirates
rocadonismom - I hope she comes on my next cruise! We have an extra seat at our table.....
hyandui and DW....cool T-shirts
adisneymama, DH and sweet Aubrey
and
mrsmg - Yvonne and Mike and their beautiful Family.....yes, the photo you have seen is not retouched, they are as youthful in person as in the photo.....this group knew how to have a GOOD time...who can say "Re-Booked".
Also enjoyed our servers Ancell and Collin - they were great with all our Princesses the entire week.....and our wonderful stateroom host Loel. I think Loel's Peacock deserves the Towel Animal award of the week!
Had FABULOUS service from Sasha and Kristian at Palo and got to meet the famous Gemma in person!
We booked a day room at the Hyatt - arrived at 10:15 and took a 3 hour nap (you guys wore me out!) before our 6:30 flight - this was just so great as we did not arrive home until 11:45 p.m. - I would definitely do this again......
Hope some others check in in the next few days....and sorry I didn't get to meet everyone but DH and I had a wonderful time...rebooked onboard for 11/11/06 - Special Western.......

We are sad to be home... we had such a good time on board.
We rebooked on board for 2006 as well. We will be doing a back to back eastern/western beginning 11/25/06. Our 10 year anniversary is 11/30, so we want to celebrate in style!!
Too bad we missed the DIS reunion by 2 weeks
We got our pictures developed yesterday before we came home... I have them in my album, now I just need to figure out what I want to do w/ the doubles for my scrapbook... Too tired to think of that now though!

Good Morning ya'll!!!
Sorry that it has taken so long for us to post!! We arrived at home safe and sound Sunday afternoon and it was right back to work for me yesterday (Ken does not return to work until tomorrow...lucky!)! I had over 300 e-mails...eeewww!!
We had a great time meeting those of you that we met...and we are sorry that we did not meet more of you! Sarah, thank you for those great hugs!!
It looks like we will also be rebooking for the 11/11/06 western cruise!! Yeah!!! Tyler told us that he would rather go on another Disney cruise than go back to Disney!! That says a lot from a 13 year old.
Did anyone else see Ken as one of the Village People on 70's night? It was hysterical, but it is the only time that I did not have my camera with me...That would be great blackmail material...He was also chosen to be an extra in the Indiana Jones show in MGM!! What a time he had!!
We will talk to ya'll soon and we can't wait to cruise again!!!

Well, here we are....back to our humdrum lives...LOL..!! Home safe and glad to hear the same from everyone else. It was great meeting some of our fellow cruisers, and thankful that you had pictures posted of some of us, as we slept through the DisMeet..:o , and would never been able to know who anyone was. We had such a wonderful time, rebooked for Dec. 17-24, 2005 Western...had originally booked the Eastern for Dec., but decided to switch at the recommendation of our head server, Fitz, and some of our fellow cruisers. We also added 5 more family members to our group...making a total of 14 (so far) !! Hope to convince more to come with us :teeth: We flew in to LAX on Saturday at 5:00 PM and spent the night in Anaheim, then went to Disneyland on Sunday :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc As our son-in-law said, We don't want the Magic to end!! Great day, but really chilly, and had to buy coats and gloves....guess we were just used to the beautiful tropical weather we had just come from :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: Back to doing the mountains of laundry I started yesterday and get shopping for Thanksgiving dinner!! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!!!!
PS Grayfal...I had to chuckle reading your post :teeth: I was happy to keep running into you..It seems our lives were on the same path after the initial meeting! I hope your path is a blessed one also...:wave2:

Ok, so how did I miss out on the meet onboard? I guess I missed a few details, eh?
We had a GREAT week! Although the week started out a bit rocky, the weather was wonderful! The shows were absolutely fantastic!
I don't know who had a late seating for dinner, but my youngest and I were on the first"Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer" show on Wednesday night. We won $80 shipboard credit!! Of course, now she is running around with the "Golden Mickey" she bought, telling everyone that she is now a star. :p I think we may have created a monster.
Anyway, we had a great cruise, and plan to sail again on Disney! Maybe we will catch up with a few of you our next time around.:)

I was on late but since we had Palo that night we went to the late show. So I didn't see her win but I did see a girl at 'Til we meet again' getting her Golden Mickey signed. I thought maybe she had won it at the talent show (as we missed that). She was very cute.

Well we finally made it back. We decided to take a train from Newark Penn Station to Orlando, and home again to save some $$$ but we learned the hard way that flying is much, much better! It took us 20 hours down and 22 hours back. Never, never again:( But those seven days in between were heaven!! It was so great meeting all of you that first day:wave: :teeth:
Pat, Susan, and John, you guys were like the welcoming committee:Pinkbounc :bounce: It was so nice to run into you and see a friendly face. :D Unfortunately, we did not book the Nov. "double dip" cruise but we did book the May 20, 2006 western and we are counting down the days!:earseek:

Well, our trip has finally come to a close. We just got home late last night. What a Magical trip it was!!! Despite the little family quarrel, everything went great! We met a bunch of really wonderful people. Rick is ready to do it all over again (very soon!) so that must say something.
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you that gave the wonderful gifts. It was the most thoughtful thing I have ever gotten. They were all so beautiful. I was disappointed that I couldn't bring the flowers home. They looked just as perfect as they did on Saturday. They were a wonderful addition to the room. They got plenty of sun on my table by the verandah. As for the gift bags, boy did they come in handy. We used one of them for all the toys the boys bought and the other we used the entire week following the cruise. It had a cell phone holder but I used it for my camera instead. Then it was always very handy for a quick shot. The mugs are adorable. The mini light box and Mickey block look great in my curio cabinet. The boys thought the binoculars were a neat idea. I think Rick and I used them more. The notes that were also included just touched my heart. I wasn't expecting anything other than our romance basket but it was like Christmas in our room when we got there. Thank you all again for your generosity. It was greatly appreciated. I tried to tell everyone thank you on the ship but I was having a hard time just trying to keep 1/2 of our appointments so if I missed anyone, I apologize. It was not intentional. Between the spa, family, meets, kids things... I needed a break!! We actually cancelled 2 appointments at the spa just to get back a little more time.
I am rambling again. :) I just wanted everyone to know that you guys really made our trip. You have convinced Rick that you guys aren't axe murderers. Well, that you weren't so don't start now! :earseek: He was very glad to see me as happy as I was and it was all thanks to some of you! Sarah, congratulations! You were the only one that turned me into a babbling brook! ;) I was fine until Sarah came to tell me goodbye. I just couldn't control myself. What can I say, I am a softy when it comes to Sarah. I better get going. Have lots of unpacking to do.
Again, thanks! I hope I was able to add as much pixie dust to your trip as you did mine.
Love you and talk to you all soon!!

OK, who changed the format while I was gone?!! Took me 10 minutes just to figure this out!! Of course that would have nothing to do with the fact we got in yesterday at 4:30. Left San Antonio Friday morning. After the cruise we spent two days at WDW, then left for SA, TX. Spent Thanksgiving with my mil, bil and his family, sil and her dh. It was a nice affair, but we were all ready to get home. So, we left a day early and here we are. Fortunately I did most of my laundry at my mil's. So now all I have to do is find a home for all these new cruise duds that we won't be wearing here in Chicagoland! :umbrella:
We had a marvelous time! We re-booked for 11/11/06. It was so wonderful having friends on board. I was concerned, not having John with me, how I would do solo. I don't like 'solo'. But you all made it wonderful! Knowing you all were there to have a drink with, trade a pin with, share a story with....was wonderful. :flower1: Thank you to you all.

Awww, shucks Vicki! The feelings were very mutual. I had an idea but it was a little late. I was thinking that you could have fired Don and hired John to clean your room. All he would have asked in return is maybe a dip in the royal tub. ((evil laugh))
I hope you didn't buy as many new duds as we did. My new shirt count is somewhere in the teens. DON'T ASK!!! I have put a few of them away for spring as it is a bit chilly here. The good news for us Vicki is that we missed the snow! There were 4-5 inches here Wednesday. I called my mom to let her know that it was still in the 80's in Florida and we just got out of the pool. She was less than thrilled. :)
As for a repeat cruise, I broke the news to Rick last night that I have a room on hold for us on the 11/11/06 cruise. If we decide to go, it is there. If not, we just cancel. Who knows, maybe the house will be done early and it won't seem like such bad timing. Either way, we still have next December to look forward to. By the way, what is our countdown at now Sarah??
Oh, Vicki! One of these days we need to check availability for you to come to the house. Just make sure it is on a night where you can watch the wedding video, too. Anyone else want to join us? ;)
Talk to you all later!!!! Bye!

Welcome back to the real world... The Monday after our trip I got my car inspected... It passed no big deal.
Saturday we noticed that one of our low beam headlights was out.
Tonight after work THE OTHER one went out! We had to drive to the auto store and buy two bulbs, then drive 45 min home in the rain/freezing rain with our high beams on the whole way.... (the other drivers were thrilled)
Then DH spent over an hour outside figuring out how to change the bulbs.
Oh well, :umbrella: at least he didn't make ME stand in the rain and hold the flashlight!!
What a good guy.

Here is the Link to my <a href="http://share.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=EeAtmzho3ZNWJM">Disney Magic Days 1 - 3</a> Pictures. I am working on my 2 other albums.
Could someone take a few Digital Pictures of the Front Page of the Navigator from Tuesday when we were in St Maarten? It is the only one I don't have for some reason and I want to include it in my Scrapbook..... :cloud9:
Trish, how awful! Sad news to receive around the holidays :guilty: Good Luck in your job search.....

Athene, thank-you so much for the pictures! They are so beautiful! We still haven't developed the pics in our underwater camera's, hopefully soon. (we are the worst procrastinators! LOL!)
You are so welcome. I had some copies made of a few of the other shots DH took. I will get those in the mail to you this week. He got a really nice one of the boat below him....
Trish, so sorry to hear about your job... :guilty:

I have alot of pictures of Ken and others from that night, I did send them copies but if you would like copies just let me know. hyandui

We had that rotation. We were at table 12 with Cyprian and Ion as our servers. :D
It seems like Tables 7 (ours) and 12 would have been near eachother, but I don't remember seeing you. Our son got sick at the table on Tuesday (Lumiere's) and we had to rush him out with his head over a champagne bucket. The poor kid was isolated for 24 hours from Sunday morning and then got sick again that night. That time it was just motion sickness, thankfully.
We had Erasmo, who was our head server last year, as our server with Kendell as our assistant. They were *fabulous.

I'm sorry your little one got so sick! We were very lucky with the seasickness. We only had problems in Animator's Palate on our second night in there because of the rockiness.
I think that Table 7 was more toward the front of the restaurants, and ours was sort of in the corner. I think both tables were on the same side of the restaurants, though. :D
Ok, I don't know if anyone gets the LIFE magazine in their Friday newspaper, but my girls were in it! There is a story on The American Girl Place, and their picture is in the story!! It is similar to the one in my signature. I tell you, their heads are SO swelled now. You know, because they are famous.:earboy2:

Hyandui - I sent you a PM! I would love to get my hands on a copy of those pictures...What black mail material!! I'm sure I can think of something good that Ken will have to get me to keep those under cover!!!!! :earboy2:
Thank you all for the hugs and pixie dust! I am doing well, but it is heartbreaking watching other team members that are not doing so well!
Cynsaun - I am going to go get a copy of that magazine!!
Have a great Monday everyone!!

Seeing as I'm being ignored on the CB :charac2: was hoping all my Kruz Krazy buds could help.
Jessica, my youngest princess, has requested two things from Santa. 1. A Christmas Doll and 2. A Mickey Mouseketeer doll. She love the Three Mousekteer movie.
Can anyone help me locate such a doll??? :cheer2: Pretty please? I've done some searching, but hoping I'm searching in all the wrong places because I have yet to see such an item.
Thanks friends! If one exists, I know you'll know!! :wizard:

Greetings, One and All! I want to tell you that I have now seen the infamous :bride: Jeanna and Rick April 2003 Wedding Video :lovestruc (Wasn't there once a 'groom' icon?) Anyway, the bride wore a lovely white ensemble that trailed from the wedding pavillion to Kissimmee. The groom wore a manly tux with white shirt and tie. The vows were personal and beautifully written.
The reception, held on a terrace at the Grand Floridian, was elegant, yet understated. The Mouse family arrived in grand style, sporting there finery and stealing the first dance with the bridal couple.
Rick was gracious enough to allow this axe murderer in his home last night, despite not feeling 100% (feel better Rick). So you might say we had a mini DIS meet! :cheer2:
Wanted to share my latest DIS adventures with you all! :cool1:

as for business trips, i've got a bunch coming up - a trip (or two) to Boston in January (yeah!), western VA in January, Miami in May, DC in October. That's just the ones I know of so far. hmmm, odd that none of them say "Eastern Caribbean" or "Port Canaveral". I'd better get working on that....
