Thanks for the welcome, Jen.
My name is yvonne and my DH is Mike. We bought the Passporter's Guide and read it a little every day to learn as much as we can about what the cruise has to offer and we have decided on two excursions so far. Parasailing at Castaway Cay (we've never done it before). And the French Riviera Beach Rendevous at St. Maartin. We haven't figured out anything for St. Thomas yet. If my children enjoy the kids' programs on the ship as much as I think they will, my DH and I will have a lot of free time to enjoy lots of activities. I don't want the kids to miss out on Castaway Cay, though.
Anyone else decided?

Obviously my DW is forgetting the long hours I spend protecting lives and property. I made a little spelling oppsssie. I am an angel. I love the fact that our group is growing. My only one thing that people may not like is that I am so darn good looking. :hyper:

Well, I've never been there, but I haven't read anything on the disboards to suggest you would feel unsafe. As for booking an excursion for you and Aubrey, that would entirely depend on whether there's any that a 2 1/2 year old would love. You might consider taking her off the ship for a while to walk around St. T, and then enjoy the day with her in the Mickey Pool - I'm sure she'd have just as much fun doing that! I hear the pools are far less crowded on port days!::yes::

Debbie, Parasailing is a blast! I'm thinking of sending DH and DS12 up there, as they haven't done it before. I have no doubt all 3 of my boys are going to love the club/lab - I've already set up a rule that they have to have dinner and show w/ us every night (and probably breakfast), but that they are free to live at the club/lab otherwise if they so choose.

Welcome mrsmg! What a group you have going! How fun!

I think we pretty much have our choices for excursions figured out:
Kev and Austin - kayaking on St. Martin
Me and Mitchell - biking on St. Martin
Hanging out at Great Bay and renting watercraft, water trampoline, etc. the rest of the afternoon

St. Thomas - a few of us are doing the Eco hike on St. John and then shopping the rest of the day!

Castaway Cay - banana boat (everyone but me!), biking, snorkeling, floating.......lol

Thanks again for the welcomes everyone! It's so great to find people who actually love Disney as much as me! I think I'm more excited than my children!
I agree with you, Jen, I would like to have breakfast and dinner with my children and now that you mention it, a show every evening sounds good. I am new at this so I appreciate the tips.
Has anyone considered purchasing the Birnbaums Disney cruise book that is coming out this month? Actually I could probably get more info from all of you. You guys are great!

PoohJen
09-02-2004, 03:49 PM
I probably won't get Birnbaum's, only b/c I just got the Passporter. But I LOVE Birnbaum's for WDW, get it almost every year "just in case" You can (and will!) learn everything you need to know (and then some) from these boards, but people like having the book handy for quick reference. ::yes:: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Hi I just got the passporter's book as well. I am on the waiting list for the Birnbaums book though. I really like their guides for WDW and feel like I will get more "kid" info from Birnbaums.
When I put it on order though, they said they were showing sometime in October now. It was originally Sept. Not sure of the reason for the delay, but hope I get suprised and it does come in Sept though!:D

Hi everyone! This is so exciting!:wave2:

mrsmg
09-02-2004, 04:42 PM
Thanks for the tip, adisneymama, you just saved me an hour drive. I am on the waiting list also. I wasn't aware they pushed back the date. I've bought Birnbaums every year since 2000 and love it.

adisneymama
09-02-2004, 06:08 PM
Oh, no problem! I'm glad I saved you an hour drive! I can't wait for Birnbaums. I love those guys! LOL

Ok, can I just say that my 2 year old is addicted to Disney! She watches the cruise video over and over! Know she wants to watch the cruise video clip on the internet over and over! I think she is excited! LOL She sees the pics of the boat and screams "boap". It is so funny! The understanding they have at such a young age. Know if I could just bottle her energy!

Hope you are all having a good Thursday!

welcome adisneymama and mrsmg.
i hope you enjoy our funny times on this thread. we are normal people(i think we are, right linda?) well my mind is worried with the hurricane due to my family living in Stuart Fl. wishes and prayers for them.

adisneymama
09-02-2004, 06:37 PM
My thoughts and prayers are with them as well. We are originally from Mobile, Al and are all too familiar with hurricanes. I have to say though we are in one of the projected paths here so will be keeping an eye on it, especially if it does go out to the gulf as they predict.

Normal, John? Who said we're normal? I resemble that remark!:p

I've been away for a few days, visiting my family in PA. My sons think I come to visit them, but I really come to visit with my grands! (Shhh, don't tell the boys.) I should have some new pictures of those beautiful babies up on the website pretty soon.

Speaking of pictures......we need more pictures of cruisers!!! Send them! Today! Don't make me come over there!!!;) :p

The weight loss challenge charts are up and Jeanna is kicking our bootys with a 4.1 pound loss last week. I lost nothing......too much birthday cake in PA! So get those numbers in to the webmaster or to me by pm and we can make your charts look all purty!

Welcome to adisneymama and mrsmg and families! You are going to have so much fun on this cruise!

KyCruiseCrazy is not normal, trust me, I live with him. His screenname describes him well.

Linda, I didn't lose anything last week, but I didn't really start til Sunday. I'll let you know if a few days what this weeks total is.

I may not win this challange but I'll be danged if I'm buying you all expensive drinks. hahahahah I'll make sure I'm in the top finishers.

Our beautiful CC is going to be plumetted terribly:sad1:  :sad2:

I hope they rebuild as quickly as they did when Floyd destroyed it.

Only time will tell, thoughts, prayers, and worries for everyone in Frances path.

It's Offical, I am becoming addicted to this Disboard thing. My DW didn't think I was xsydid about the cruise. Boy, was she wrong. Our thoughts are with the people in Fla. I need to start a "Thought of the Day".
So the Thought of the day is..... "My Disney Coffe Cup is always half full".

I'll check back when I can, but could you all put us in your prayers as well? Thanks

Disney Cruise Line® –
Important Information
Friday, September 03, 2004 2:01:11 PM

Due to the impact of Hurricane Frances, we have made the following modifications to our itineraries for upcoming sailings:

Disney Magic
The August 28, 7-night Western Caribbean sailing will be extended by two nights, arriving in Port Canaveral on Monday, September 6 at 11 am.

The 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailing, scheduled for September 4, will be shortened two nights, departing on Monday, September 6 at 6 pm from Port Canaveral and arriving back as scheduled on Saturday, September 11. To avoid the effects of Hurricane Frances, we will be sailing a modified Western Caribbean itinerary.

Disney Wonder
The September 2, 3-night Bahamas sailing will be extended one night, returning to Port Canaveral on Monday, September 6 at 6 am. Since it is unlikely that our scheduled calls to Castaway Cay and Nassau will be possible, they will be replaced with a Saturday, September 4 call to Cozumel, Mexico.

The 4-night Bahamas sailing scheduled for September 5 will be delayed and shortened one night, departing on Monday, September 6 at 6 pm from Port Canaveral, arriving back as scheduled on Thursday, September 9. Since it is unlikely that our scheduled calls to Castaway Cay and Nassau will be possible, guests will enjoy two days at sea, a safe distance from the effects of Hurricane Frances.

Guests sailing on these modified itineraries have been contacted or are in the process of being contacted by our reservations staff. Fares for the shortened cruises will be discounted, and guests will be offered special incentives for sailing.

We appreciate all of our guests’ patience as we respond to the unavoidable circumstances created by Hurricane Frances.

I was at WDW this time last year. We had rain but that's about it.

For those of you planning a visit to the parks before or after the cruise, Disney has finally posted the hours for November (despite having a drop down menu that has included November for over a month now). I'm very happy as one of the things that is new since I went last year is Wishes and it is on the schedule for the day we're visiting. :)

Here's hoping hurricane season ends early this year! I don't imagine the residents of Florida could handle another one. It's been terrible for them already.

Adisneymama, you and your family are in my prayers.

Xsydid, my DH has decided to wear a suit as well. I have to figure out what to do for our five boys still!

Hey adisneymamma, I am very happy to hear that your husband is wearing a suit. I can't imagine him going nude, LOL:jester: As for the children, I suggest dressing them up in the craziest disney atire you can find, bright colors, Make up, Mickey ears, goofy hats, ya know the things you can show at thier weddings, and graduations to embarass them. If you need some more help please contact me.

mrsmg, this is a belated welcome from Tina! WOW! What an awesome size family you have!!! I am a little confused, though, as to exactly how many childrenyouhave!:earseek::eek: :hyper: I saw that you have six boys coming on the cruise and a daughter. And then I read you have another son going on a cruise this month. Does that mean you actually have 8 children? I'm not meaning to be nosey (sp) just curious! My DH(Rhett), DS10(Caleb), DD7(Christa), and myself will be cruising also. I can't wait to meet your wonderful family!

A great big belated welcome to you, too, adisneymama!!!

And xsydid, an extremely belated "hello!" to you, too!!! I'm a little slow getting to the boards, but at least I get hear!! :teeth: :hyper:

I know exactly what you mean! We can't decide either! Part of the problem is that every excursion we want to do has an age limit of 8yrs old, and DD will be 7yrs 8mos on the cruise. But she is a great swimmer, so I wish they would make an exception! We want to do Captain Nautica's and Shipwreck Cove. If not we will probably do one of the catamaran ones, because I really want to do that!

Everybody, I feel so behind in getting all the things done that I need/want to get done for/before the cruise!!:crazy2: I want to make a sign; I want to get my DD's Cinderella costume lined with some type of soft material (so she'll wear it!! ); My DH AND DS need something to wear for formal and semi-formal nite. We will probably rent the tux for DH, but DS grows SO MUCH all the time that I can't buy him a suit or anything nice until right before the cruise! I also want to make a sign for our cabin door. And don't forget the most important thing which is PACKING!!!

And have I told ya'll how much I hate dieting?!!! But I need to lose about 10lbs before the cruise, because I'm going to gain about 20 ON the cruise!!

KyCruisinSusan
09-04-2004, 08:31 AM
Tina, if you don't have time to make a door sign, let John know.

I'm sure he would be happy to create one for your family if you just let him know what you want done to it.

We can even print it out on magnetic paper(we have a ton of it)

And give it to you at the terminal or after we board.

Just PM him or something, if you decide you would like some help.

adisneymama
09-04-2004, 11:10 AM
Do you think he would make me a sign as well? I had no idea about that since this is our first cruise. I have no idea what to even put on a sign or shat size ect.

Hope you are all having a good weekend thus far. Prayers still with those in FL. They just said on the weather channel that PC is already experiencing 67 mph winds.

I am so glad to have found this thread....I can't wait to meet all of you on the ship. Is there a set time and place to meet?

Ok, got to run for now! Take care everyone!

I am looking forward to meeting you too! The costume for your DD sounds great. I think it cute if I could find costumes for all the kids to wear on the ship too.
Now my DH is considering renting a tux instead. I guess he'll bring his suits for semi formal.

Ok fello cruisers we have to decide on something.

Our group is getting very large so we need to decide where our DisMeet is going to be, and exactly when it is going to be.

I've heard that something was planned for 3:00pm on embarktion day, before the safety drill.

Is this agreeable with most....you can't please everybody.

And what about location. I call on fellow former DCL cruisers to answer this question.

John mentioned the Promaninade Lounge, Deck3 across the atrium from Guest Services, just past Lumiere's on the way to Parrot Cay.

If anyone else has another suggestion, put it out there and lets make a final decision.:hyper: ::yes:: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I think pre-boat drill is a great plan.
The promenade lounge should not have anything else going on, plus its easy to get to....

We can be flexible with a DIS meet!! We just can't wait to meet everyone!!

Yesterday, we took Payton (DD) to the Disney Store and let her pick out her costume!!! Well, she picked out Tinkerbelle and she is the cutest Tinkerbelle out there. We took some pictures of her and are entering her in the contest that the Disney Store is having. In fact, we need to get her pictures there by the end of the day today. One winner from each region (3 regions) will be chosen to have their picture taken in their costume and used in the windows of all the stores and will receive $100 gift card! Hey it was fun just to get creative with her in her costume. (Too bad we could not figure out how to get her to look like she was flying)

I will forward one of the pics of her to Sarah so she can have her dad post it on the website. It will not be until Tuesday, though. Oh, we also had some family pics taken yesterday and will forward one of those as well!

Have a great day everyone!!

I heard our school district is off the Thurs and Friday before the cruise - so we may not be as rushed as originally planned! It will be nice to get into Fla at 4pm the day before, instead of 4 a.m. the morning of!!!

hope y'all are having a great weekend!:wave2:

Ok, Still not sure how much we are going to get from this storm. We have had rain and winds gusting about 30+ mph so far. The storm went in a little farther east than expected, so waiting to see. They are still calling for flooding and high winds and power outages. So far we haven't lost power. I'll try to check back in later.

I have lost two pounds since we started. Not sure why all of a sudden, since starting this challenge, my weight loss has slowed to one pound a week!! This is motivating me to add more exercise.

Pictures...don't have any recent ones of Mom and I and old ones wouldn't help you as we've both lost weight recently. She leaves for South Africa next week so I'll try to get one taken this weekend.

Let me know what ya'll think once they are posted!!

We are having Florida issues. We have 4 offices in Florida and were only able to get 2 of them back online today. One of the offices that is still down is a hub for our office in Dominican Republic. That means, that if the main one is down, so is the secondary. Surprising enough, the office that was hit the worst was up and running today. That was in Melbourne. Go figure!!! :worship: We were VERY grateful for that. Well, I guess I will have to wait til next week for the next chat. :sad1: I think I will manage... :sad2:

Hey guys, I had to pick up Rachel from school early. She is running a fever, stomach bug I think.

Anyway, I talked to John earlier while I was at work, and he had just talked to Disney, and the word is that CC was NOT destroyed completely.

They should be able to make whatever repairs necessary in a couple of weeks.

Of course the vegetation probably won't be a pretty as all of us former cruisers remember it, but the island is still there.

John said that they told him (he talked to a supervisor) that the majority of the damage was to the sand. It will have to be dredged out. That is also a big problem at Port Canaveral.

Go ahead and book those CC excursions Jeanna. Parasailing and Banana Boating here we come!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Good morning everyone. I'm going to try to send the pics when Aubrey goes down for her nap this afternoon. Didn't get a chance yesterday, we were gone most of the day.

Hey, I thought I was the only one packing stuff already! LOL

Ok, on the weight loss, I'll try for 12 pounds. (Need to lose more than that, but I think that is reasonable in the time left.)

John, You have created a monster with DH! He loves the sign you made and has burnt a cd with all kinds of jpg on it for me to send to you. Hope he isn't driving you crazy, he thinks he is helping! LOL

DVC here!! VWL. We love it there. We decided to join because right now, we spend most (OK...ALL) of our vacations at Disney (or the cruise) so it just made sense to us. I did do a financial analysis and basically you are pre-paying for your vacation with DVC...but, the reason we decided to go-for-it...the rooms you get with DVC are WONDERFUL. Full kitchen, washer&dryer, ect...

We love DVC!!

Hey Jen,

I didn't want to post this on the main thread that you started, to many "outsiders" reading those posts. hehehe

If you pack your laptop in your checked luggage, you will probably regret it.

There are just to many dishonest people floating around in our world today,(you should already know that ms corporate) and you certainly don't want anyone to get ahold of your precious pictures, along with whatever else you have in there.

 :earseek:

Just get your strong strapping husband to carry it for you until you can get into your stateroom. (isn't that why we have DH's, to carry the heavy stuff for us)

PoohJen

Pat there is a post somewhere on the board that says you can get your photos downloaded to a cd in St Maarten for about $12.

Shutters is very very expensive, compared to this.

I believe that the place that does it is somewhere fairly close to the port.

If you are going to be anywhere near a walmart prior to the cruise, you can take your digital cards to them and they can either put the pics on cd or print the pics and put them on cd for you. I'm not sure the exact cost, but wouldn't be very much.

Once you have them on cd, you can upload them to any website host, such as photobucket or shutterfly. You can email them from the cd or print pics from home on your computer or even take the cd back to walmart for prints to be made.

I hope that helps.

I knew something was wrong! I haven't received a single notice about a post to this thread in DAYS! Sure enough, I have missed PAGES of posts.

Mom and I are going for pedicures (treating her to her first manicure too) tomorrow. My feet are so bad that I'm going to need two or three before the cruise!! I'm in denial about fall and am only shopping for cruise clothes!! I really should stop because any day now it's going to get cool and I won't have any fall clothes that fit. I think they might look at me funny if I wear my Tropicali (pirate night, whatever) shirt to work in October.

Glad to hear about John's conversation with DCL about CC. I was really starting to worry. We have no plans for the other ports and have decided it's good that way because we won't get our hopes up. Seems weird that this week's Eastern became a modified Western and next week's Western is going to be a modified Eastern.

Hi! Looks like I'm a little late in the game on this one. Sorry I missed the 'chat' too! We're taking our first ever Disney cruise (any cruise for that matter!) on the Nov 13 7nt Eastern...me DH, DD (3) and DS (1).

According to my countdown clock I only have 61 days of anticipation left, which means only 61 more days of my husband calling me a 'freak'. :hyper: LOL Although he loves Disney just as much.

Well, I'll go back in the thread and see what I've missed.

Hello Heather! Welcome to our bunch of "cruise crazies"!

That is a beautiful dress, adisneymama! We will have to set up a little dismeet for formal night, so we can get pictures of us in our "finest"!

And thank goodness formal night is on Sunday---after that its the stretchy waist stuff for me! But....a word of caution......pace yourself or you will be too full by Thursday to enjoy lobster night and the midnight dessert buffet. Whew! I get full just thinking about it! I thought DH and twins would like the sub in St. Thomas. And I want to snorkel. (will definitely snorkel at CC, but I know the fishies population is limited there). Saw friends of ours this weekend who regularly go to St Martin.
Their beach suggestion (rather then orient beach) was Friar's Bay Beach.
No charge for chairs and umbrellas, just buy some food from the restaurant. Not too crowded, water not too rough,,,,,,,
So if you are not going on an excursion or after the excursion you might want to consider this beach...

Here is a review I found online.

Date of Entry: 8/30/2003
Category: Activity: Beaches

Name: Friars Bay Beach
Address: Friars Bay
City: St. Martin

What it's like:
This is a small quiet beach where the locals try and keep it to themselves. The water is extremely calm and is great for swimming, especially if you have children. The cost for the chairs and umbrellas was free as long as I ate in the cafe on the beach, which of course I did. The food was good and the atmosphere is great. I was at this beach twice during my seven night stay. I tried to go to different beaches everyday so I could find my perfect beach. There is not a lot to do here, but if you come to unwind, this is for you. They do have servers on the beach, but they are a bit slow unless you tell them to check back with you every 20-30 minutes for more drinks, if that is what you like.
Getting here is more difficult them alot of the other beaches, since it is hidden. Take the main road and look for signs to Friars Bay Beach. Continue of the road and then it turns to gravel, stay on that gravel road, it is not far from there, the road is two-way, so drive slow. Then you see the beach and you say, this is great, park and walk to your chair and umbrella and enjoy your day.

Enjoy the beach!

another review.....
FRIAR'S BAY
The Cranberry Cafe is gone, so now there are only two beach restaurants at Friars Bay:
Kali's Beach Bar and Friar's Bay Beach Cafe. I still recommend - strongly - that you head
for the area in front of Friars Bay Beach Cafe (FBBC).
The beach is excellent and there is good snorkeling at both ends of the beach. This is one of the few beaches that I saw yachts come and drop anchor offshore. The lounge chairs and umbrellas in front of the FBBC are free if you eat at the FBBC...and I assure you that the food there is excellent. They have an extensive menu with very reasonable prices. And the music...you have to hear this music - talk about eclectic! Frank Sinatra...French crooners a la Tony Bennett...Jazz with American Indian interludes...you name it...and it's all playing on Bose Speakers.
The lounge chairs and umbrellas in front of the FBBC are free if you eat at the FBBC...and the
food is excellent. They have a great menu, reasonable prices, and the beach itself is picture-
perfect.

You're going to love the ambiance of Friar's Bay - added to the regular mix of French,
Italians, Latin Americans, and North Americans this year was a group of Russians.

another......
My favorite beach of all on St. Martin is Friars Bay. This beach is just intoxicating. The water is clear, and usually peaceful, although one day it did knock us around a bit. The sun sets over a huge rock formation at the far left hand edge of the beach. As it does, the water becomes almost purple if the light is right. Giant birds dive bomb into the sea to catch their dinners. There is a feeling of peace in the air. Everyone has a blissful grin.

You've been there since lunch time, enjoying the sun and the sand. Lunch (two hours or so!) was at The Friars Bay Beach Cafe, which is all of five steps behind your chair. The motto of this particular cafe, translated from the French, is "Open every day, even when it snows." Lunch may have been foie gras, or else a delicate freshly caught fish called sea bream, washed down (slowly, languorously) by an excellent French Chardonnay. Not a glass. A bottle.

Jen, you have MORE then 18 hours to decide - I know booking early is recommended, but you will have choices after the first day...so relax, think about it, have a first and second choice and then book.

Ok, so I think I'm in the minority on this one but...we don't plan on booking any excursions. Yes, it's ok, you can thank me...one less person you'll be competing with! LOL :p

With the kiddies being little and this being our first cruise we just want to kick back and take it all in.

Now comes my self-doubting side...OH NO, am I missing something?! :earseek:

And, thanks for the beach info...that sounds great. Nice of you to let the secret out...we'll save you a chair. LOL!! You also reminded me to get in touch with my friend who lived in St. Martin. I'll let you know if she sends me any recommendations.

I invited my mom, dad, Frank, and Sandra to our cabin for a drink on the veranda. Xsydid---heck no there isn't room in a stateroom for our disboard family.

Unless of course you are House of Princesses. She has the granddaddy of suites. Several of us will fit in there.

I'm affraid your stateroom will only hold a few dis ers but it should be fun anyway.

Make sure you plan on attending our formal Dismeet on embarktion day prior to the safety drill.

I had taken the countdown on our Dreams Unlimited reservation when it said 60 days YESTERDAY and e-mailed my request. I don't think they did anything with it until today, but I got DH a parasailing excursion on CC for 10:30!! (I "talked" him into it, since I want the pictures from the air for my scrapbook!)
;-)
Time is just flying by!!

What a day it has been!!! I paid off our cruise and booked our shore excursions!! We are going to Orient Beach on St Martin and Magen's Bay Beach on St. John!! We chose beach excursions because we didn't think that our 3 year old would want to be strapped in her stroller while we are walking around the islands...besides we just want to relax and play!!!

Yee-Haa!!!!!

We are really going on a cruise!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!

Don't forget to pack a waterproof throw-away camera - they are very expensive to buy on the trip.

NOT that I am suggesting anyone would get wet during this adventure :earseek: .

Trish and Jen, what time are ya'll doing the Golden Eagle? We ended up choosing the 1pm, so everyone could be well rested! I sure hope at least one of you two chose the afternoon one!

And Pat, I'm sure my DH would LOVE to go to the Beer Sampling! I think he will be available for it! They both will probably be glad to have some company! I don't like beer (or wine for that matter!), so I won't be joining him!

Pat - If they made that change, it definately didn't apply to our cruise. I called the excursion desk myself to get the info straight from them on Saturday or Sunday. I wanted to make sure I had all the info I needed from everyone and wanted to confirm the day we could book. She pulled up our cruise date and said that today was the day everyone could call. Lucky for me, the coordinator must have access to the excursion reservations system because she was able to get them done before the excursion desk opened. Everyone got the time they wanted. See, Jen!! You should have let me know!! That's ok, there is always next December!! :hyper: Hope to see you all in chat tonight.. I may miss a bit as I have to exercise... Did I read somewhere on the boards that DCL doesn't routinely carry Splenda? If not, I will have to bring my own, because I like it in my coffee and unsweetened tea (it dissolves better than sugar). Not that I'm planning on dieting, since I will have been suffering for weeks on one!

Last time I was on the Magic, they had Equal and that icky pink stuff (which my sister just loves--- go figure?....she loves licorice too....yuck.....my mom must have dropped her on her head when she was born :p ), so if you like Splenda, you might have to bring some with you.

Wow, you guys really have been chatting like crazy. I just read the last 15 pages and that's still not from the beginning of September! Definately a lot to remember. I'd love to join in on the DisMeet. Unfortunately, I don't have a computer at home, so chatting might not work as well but, if someone mentions what time it is... I don't live far from my dad's office (that's where I am now) and can come hang out here for a while.

Guess I should look into excursions, since everyone has theirs picked already. It was hard to get excited about the cruise before because I didn't know when I would be going but, now that it's paid for I can't wait. The Golden Eagle Catamaran sounds like fun.. and I'd definately love to kayak.

John, is it fair to ask you to make one more sign? I've read lots of times how wonderful they are and I'm severly computer illiterate. My level would be ripping a page out of a coloring book. If you don't mind please just let me know what kind of information you need.

GrayFal, thanks for offering to add me to the list. I don't have much information yet, but it would be a start.

okay, night all. I need to go home and get some sleep for tomorrow; another long day.

Ok all you door sign people. I need to know which ones of you want me to print them out on the magnetic paper.

I know Jeanna is going to print her own, thank goodness. LOL
(and she better not shortcut the magnetic paper)

Just let me know who wants them printed and who wants them just emailed and you can print them yourselves.

The magnetic paper can be picked up at walmart

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3064699

but it's kinda pricey. You can also use this site(its where we got ours, fast shipping)

http://www.decalpaper.com/magnetic-decalpaper.html

Just let me know please. I have about 15 pieces of magnetic paper available now, but I can always order more if needed.

If you want me to print yours please send me a private message. I will distribute them at our dismeet onboard so you will have them when you go to your stateroom to prepare for the safety drill.

Trish, our DH's together will be scary, but it should be loads of fun.

By the end of our cruise all our faces will be cramping from all the smiling and laughing we will be doing. Not to mention all the chewing. LOL

I just placed an order for 25 more sheets of magnetic paper, just to be on the safe side. I will get a new color ink cartridge today at the store.

Sue, if you or your family would like a magnetic door sign for your stateroom door just send a private message to myself or KyCruiseCrazy with your last name, everybodies fav. disney character, and he will create one for you.

If you would like to see a sample of his work check out the door sign link at www.hannomax.com

We also still need to hear from whoever wants us to print their signs for them. Only charge is friendship and a thank you.

Trish, we both won our games last weekend. I am ranked 2nd in my division and 3rd in power.

Hi everyone!
This will be very short, we still don't have power and I am using the generator to post this.

My house didn't have any damage, we had limbs down and debris but that is all except for the loss of power. It is very hot, in the 90's before adding the heat index.

My moms trailer had some roof damage, not really that safe to stay there, but she can't get a hotel room. They are all booked. She lives just north of where the storm went in.

My grandparents had no damage, just limbs and debris,

My inlaws home in Mobile had minor damage and limbs. The house on Dauphin Island has 3 ft of water in it. It will have to be gutted. It will be a long process to rebuild.

None of them have power....

Ok, as I was posting....MY POWER IS ON!!!!!!

I'll check in later!
