We are going 10/6-10/13. Today , Aug 7, is my 60 days to book Cinderella's Castle. I called at 7AM to book and was told every seating was booked up because they just changed the rule this Monday Aug 4 to booking Cinderella's castle and other Park restaurants to 90 days not 60. I am very upset and have already put in a complaint to Disney. FYI
Thank you.

Same thing happened to me this morning also. I was told they supposeably posted the information on their website and a few others. Of course I was on vacation last week and didn't know about it. What an odd time to make the changes also. Why not a the beggining of the year.

I'm sorry you didn't get your ressies for October 6.
Did you request a PS for any of your other days or were they booked too?

Yes, August 4th was the day the switch was made. I called to get an October 23 PS for CRT and was on hold for almost an hour! (I eventually hung up and called back and got right through) Some people were on hold for longer than that I hear. Guess that day was crazy at the Disney Dining reservation center!!

Yep, there was major stress on the boards around the end of July when this was first found out. Originally, it was supposed to be 120 days for WDTC guests ONLY... but appearantly they got so many complaints they changed it to 90 days for everyone.

Actually, the WDTC package holders would have been able to book their PSs at 180 days. Everyone else would have had to wait until the 90 day mark.
There was a general uproar here, and Disney is 'doing more studies' on the matter.

It does screw things up for quite a few of us.... but at least they gave in to the plethora of e-mails/phone calls expressing frustration with the unfairness of it all.

I hope that something works out for you both......

Hi to all... I wish I knew that Disney was doing this. I am using this website along with mousesavers for my information and I did not see anything on these boards regarding this. Did I miss it? Does anyone also use the "official Disney" website as a resource? I have my whole week planned out and there was not one seating available for breakfast. I will keep trying to get a cancellation. I am so mad.....Oh well, can't let it ruin the excitement of our trip in 60 days!

I think you missed it. There was an uproar on every board for the last two weeks regarding this upcoming change. I usually don't even bother with the official website unless I want to check hours. For everything else I get it from the various boards I read. If it is that important to me then I call WDW to verify it. Keep trying for those cancellations.

You missed it. There was a 230 message thread on this board in addition to other boards. All restaurants are now 90 days.

I gained from it and thank goodness for these boards. I'm sorry you missed all of the discussion. Had you seen it, you could have called on 8/4 and gotten your ressie. I called around 9:30 that morning and got my PS for 10/30 after being on hold for less than a minute.

I feel bad for all the people who still think it is 60 days out, they don't have much hope now. I think there were a couple days last week that about 90% of the posts on the first page of this forum were about the new policy. Then on Monday when it took effect, another page full. It would be nice if they actually held a few back until the 60 day mark. Keep trying for a cancellation-they do happen. :D

I know a lot of people are not going to like what I have to say but I am glad they made the change. I heard about it on the boards here on this site. Because of the change I was able to get CRT on 10/10.
