We are planning on going to WDW in Sept, but just in case( i am hoping there will be nothing to worry about!!), if we cannot go and are forced to go at a later date, say 6-9 months later, will the airline change out tickets or am i out the money i paid?? We bought from Delta and did get a tix that was 8 months in advance, and i think they said on the phone if i wanted to get a different flight, i would have to pay the going rate. Our tix only cost 185 rt before using our travel vouchers. If we have to go later, do i notify them and get vouchers, or hold on to them and take them when we can go and use them money ive paid toward the new airfare??? I am hoping we are still going in sept., but i am not sure about 1 thing that will be going on at that time if we will be forced not to go.(not by our choice) thanks.

In order to re-use the tickets, you will have to pay a $100 change fee per ticket and any applicable fare difference.

As to your particular situation, if you want to be assured of accurate information, I would recommend that you call Delta and ask them. Here's why:

You said you used vouchers toward the purchase of your tickets. Those vouchers had an expiration date on them. It is therefore possible that you will no longer have the value of the vouchers if your new ticketing or travel dates fall beyond the expiration date of the voucher.

I'd call Delta to check, but I didn't use my Delta ticket a little over a year ago and the deal was that you didn't have to say you were going to cancel, but you just used the ticket as a credit for another flight within a year or so but they took out about $100 for a change fee. I paid $250 for the ticket so I only had $150 credit to use. We had to use it on a regular ticket and not an internet special rate.

I had a problem with my knee and my doc recommended not travelling far/walking on it back in July. Even with a note, they would not waive the change fee. Just FYI. Good luck!
