$263 for 8 days-I know I'm paying too much

When I went to WDW in Oct. I think I paid approx. $168 for 9 days at Nat'l EA. I am going 8/26-9/2 and my best EA is $263 (mid size). I do not have a MKC card. I think I have some double upgrade coupons for Budget at work that I will have to look at on Monday. Does this seem about right for end of Aug? Can anyone help me with suggestions? Thanks :)

js go to www.disney.go.com/vacations/travel/national_pop.html and print the coupon. With the code on that coupon I got an EA fullsize rate quote of $169 for 8/26 to 9/2. I used 9am to 9am since you did not indicate any times. If you have a Discover card use 5710190 instead of the EA code and save a little over $7 more.

It may very well be in your best interest to become a DC member. I just went onto the National site and plugged in your dates w/ the DC codes and came up with a total of $132.98! That is a BIG savings for you. These rates go up and down all the time - so this rate is what I came up with at the time. IMVHO, it is worth the membership! Plus, as your date of departure gets closer, the rates usually drop again!

Your rate doesn't sound too bad, we are paying $600 with National over New Years for a luxury for 8 days. They were running a special when I booked, saving a few hundred dollars!

I am going the same time..aug 24-sep1..8 days. I have the disney discount and also used the coupon mentioned above for one day free..and my total for a full size is about $150 with taxes. somehow i joined the disney club as a sampler and didnt have to pay the fee. I dont remember where i got it, but they sent be a sample kit with a bunch of coupons enclosed, one was the national discount good through Sep. Most of the other coupons they sent me have expired, but that one will still be good when we go. I also have the emerald aisle so am hoping to get an suv or mini van.

I put in coupon discount and saved $80. I also tried DC discount (my mom has a card but they are using the card for pick up in Tampa). Anyway, it came out $20 less for me with the DC discount.
I had an old DC card but not sure if the discount for having an old card still applies. I will call them today and see how long it will take to get my card and how much.
Do I just take the coupon with me? I didn't book my car though disneyvacations.com? Did you all book through them? I just put the code in on the EA form.

Still have not booked flights yet though. $179 from EWR or JFK-with one stop over and non-stop returning but my mom thinks we can do better. She flies a lot to Sarasota but not MCO. We will probably be booking flights this week.

I just called to give National to ask for them to apply my AAA (dh just signed us up since we do a lot of driving to FL) and saved another $17. THEN, called back again, gave them my ressie no. and asked them to fax me my new quote and asked to please check if rates have changed. THEY DID, I am now paying $144 for 8 days, EA service! :) Thanks!
