Hi- have done much reading- none recently enough- little posting- love disboards. Went to Cape May last night and found that the plain clams with broth are a thing of the past- unless you ask for plain clams with no butter. Evidently there is no broth for rinsing. this may have been posted but my search fn was disabled..Susan:rolleyes:

Yes, we discovered the same thing. I cannot eat alot of garlic, and these clams were just SWIMMING in it. I didn't know that I could request the plain ones, but am very happy to have that knowledge now, since I really didn't want to give up going to one of my husband's favorite places. Also, the mussels are swimming in garlic as well.
I always loved the mussels and clams here, and wish they hadn't decided to fix what wasn't broke!
