Are you as excited as I am? From the jumping smilies in your post I would say so! We went last year around this time and had the trip of a lifetime! It was fabulous, you are going to love it!!!

Good to meet you!:Pinkbounc

08-24-2003, 08:12 PM
:Pinkbounc :bounce: Oh Yeah, we are all excited!! This will be our first cruise, and though we are excited, we are still trying to figure it all out. These boards have given us some help though. But when you've never been on one, it is kind of hard to imagine some of the things they are talking about. We have been to WDW quite a few times, and we were worried about that the first time we went also, but we figured it out, and now give others advice. So I guess we will be fine. Disney seems to make everything user friendly. Any tips or advice though, would be GREATLY appreciated.
Have a great night.

Any help I can be, let me know. I was once in your shoes and appreciated any information that I could get.

I would be happy to give you the iteneray that I followed. It relly made the trip an easy and uneventful adventure. Some of the postings on these boards had me nervous about some things so if you are wondering on anything that you have read out here on the DIS boards feel free to ask. I love talking about my trip.

Let's try to meet up on the ship, it may be hard but we could all meet and have a conch cooler and chat. I have 11 people going with me. Myself, DS4, DN35,DB34,DB40,DSIL36,DN7,DN3,DN5 and some other friends. Should be a blast. Disney makes it a blast everything is prefect. You couldn't ask for anything more.

Anyway I am at school (41 and trying to find my youth..lol) and have a class in 15.

Talk to you again soon!

08-26-2003, 05:04 PM
Count us in!!

We will be taking our honeymoon cruise!! It's my FH's first cruise, my second. I just recently made the final payment and I just can't stop smiling!!

08-27-2003, 07:21 PM
Congrats!! You are going to have such a great time! Let's keep this thread going. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

08-27-2003, 10:43 PM
Will you guys all promise to get off quickly to we can get on :bounce: LOL

08-28-2003, 12:55 AM
Thanks for the quick answer. I would love to see the itenerary that you did. I just feel so overwhelmed by it all. I am sure that 4 days is not enough time to do it all but thought we should start out with a short one. Do you have your room # yet? We are staying on deck two. We have adjoining rooms because of my grandchildren. I read that you need to bring a bunji cord to hold the door between you open. Is that because of the motion of the boat. We have to be able to keep that door open because the kids will freak if they can't get to me. Do you hae kids going with you? I would love to meet with you. Please pass on any more advice that you can think of.
Vickie:bounce: :Pinkbounc (I love these little bouncy things)

I am so incredibly excited about this trip, there's so many firsts for my FH and I..it's my first trip w/o my family, and our first trip together. My FH has never been to Florida, let alone Disney world, so he's trying to understand why I'm such a sap about disney. Hopefully this cruise will help!! I can't wait to get his picture w/ Mickey!! Another thing I'm excited about is seeing his face when he sees the ocean for the first time EVER...I get teary-eyed just thinking about it! LOL I'm not sure what deck we'll be on..last year my family and I were on deck 6 aft, and it was perfect, but since FH and I booked so late (we just decided last week to take the cruise, and we paid it off in four days...how's that for being excited?!!) we're in guarantee status. I'm hoping to get upgraded since we're on our honeymoon, but even if we don't it'll be ok with me, I'll be on the WONDER!!

I noticed someone's going to MNSSHP on the 31st..do you still need any tickets or know someone who does? I have 2 adult tix for the 31st party that I'd hate to see go to waste, I'd be happy to sell them off so someone can get some use out of them. we were going to go to WDW, but obviously changed our minds. Let me know!

08-28-2003, 11:37 AM
:D I am the neice of Kim (BABYSAM99) and I will be on the cruise with my DD and Boyfriend.:p We are in one of the secret porthole rooms on Deck 5. I too am so excited! We had a lot of fun last year. I just pray our weather is perfect again....;) The best tips I can give are bring a couple swimsuits so you don't have to wear a wet one ever. Go to Palo atleast once and have something done at the Spa for sure!! WONDERful..... It is so important to be organized and get things done ASAP when you board and then you are ready to relax.;)

Love the deck parties too. Congrats Soleiloca on your wedding!! That would be a great Honeymoon. So you better do Palo!:p You may have to do the Surial Bath Chamber! I would like to try that with my guy too!;)

Minniemouse, I will be glad to help you with anything you need. I have done lots of searching for info on these trips... I also was at Disney in April. Looking forward to the Halloween party. I know it will be crazy on Halloween night, but that is part of the fun.

Good talking to all of you! Glad to meet some other DISer's.....

08-28-2003, 02:07 PM
Minnie yes I have my room# it's the same room as the last Disney trip. I'm at school right now, I think it's 5630. I will check that and let you know if thats not right.

Yes there is alot of motion on the ship. The one night we were on the doors to the bath and the closet kept opening and closing so thats probably why you need the bungee. Do you have verandas? I know that I am on deck 5 right by the Kids clubs.

My niece, Babyjosie(Michelle) had our little itenery that we followed. The first thing was that we wanted to not be in a rush from the get-go so we arrived the night before and stayed at Port Canaveral at the Raddison. Very nice. We then took the 10:40 shuttle provided by them. We arrived at around 10:50 and checked in at the desk in the terminal. This all took about 15 minutes. We were about 5th in line to board. When we started boarding at 12:15, we went straight to Deck 9 for lunch the buffet was wonderful, yummy shrimp. We had our first Coch cooler on deck wich started our trip off right.

You can't get into your rooms until around 1 or 1:30 so thats why we did lunch and got our plan together on what things to sign up for. Don't let these boards fool you, if you have a plan there is no reason to feel stressed by making reservations for anywhere on the ship. The kids club, Palos, The Spa, etc. we reserved with no problem. Our first thing we did was that I went and reserved Palos and then Michelle and I went and toured the Spa at 2pm. We signed up the kids and got our beepers for the kids club and then we relaxed! The sail away party is at 5pm and is so much fun. The Navagator that is put in your room on a daily basis is a great tool for planning what to do for the day. It has all the activies that the ship offers as well as how to sign up for excersions. Oh by the way at 4pm there is a drill that ALL passengers have to attend. You come to the drill with your life jackets on and they show you what you need to do in case of an emergency. It lasts about 30 minutes.

The key was not rushing and for having a plan. We have the same plan this time and hopefully it will go as smoothly as the last time. I am so looking forward to this trip as I am going with both of my brothers and my sister-in-law and of course my lovely niece. We have 5 kids going with us. My son Sam is 4 1/2, my niece and nephew, Autty and Char are 7 & 3, my niece Josie is 5 and her frind Gus is 5. I hope this all helps and I hope you have a wonderful time. I know you will.:Pinkbounc I love these bouncy things too...LOL

08-28-2003, 02:13 PM

You are going to have so much fun! Last trip there was a couple that were on their honeymoon. They were so cute he had on a top hat equiped with Mickey ears and she had a set of ears with a veil attached (I think when you get married on the ship you get these items)

As far as crying when FH sees the ocean, he probably will I know I was crying when I saw the ship for the first time. It is so magical!

I hope you get an upgrade. What category are you in now?

Let's all keep this thread going if we can! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Did I mention that I was excited?! LOL:Pinkbounc

08-28-2003, 11:56 PM
Oh My Goodness!! I thought that I had a plan of attack but now am wondering?? My grandchildren are going with us ages 4&5 so Kim, sounds like they might be the same ages as some that are going with you. I have read about the activities on the kids clubs and that a lot of the kids do not want to leave:confused: Did you have kids with you on your last cruise?? Did you find this to be true?? What about dinner times?? What about when you dock and want to do things on shore?? What if they do not want to be there? My Dd and I want to do a spa treatment any advice on which one? Which dining are you on early or late? We have early as we have young children with us. If we go to Palos one night, will the kids be able to eat?? What is this Conch cooler?? Sounds like a drink in a shell! lol. I am so sorry for so many questions. I know though that I will have more. Please be patient with this first time Disney Cruiser.
V:confused:

08-29-2003, 01:34 AM

I know I cried when I saw those ears poking over the horizon!! lol

As far as the bride/groom mickey ears go, I have a pair..I bought them at WDW last year, but right now we're not sure we're going to take them. They've been sitting in a box in my room for a year, and I'm not sure I've got the guts to wear them on board, not to mention I'm not totally sure how we'd pack them w/o crushing them. I might just sell them on ebay and not worry about it..my FH wasn't too keen on wearing them anyway. :p

right now we're guaranteed in a Cat 11- only thing we could afford on such short notice. but I don't mind..we were in cat 11 last year and it worked just fine for a family of 4, I can't imagine 2 people would be any worse. An upgrade would definitely be nice but I'm not going to be angry if it doesn't happen.

Minnie- a conch cooler is a mixed drink available on the ship- I've never had one but from what I hear they're pretty good, I'm going to have to try one this time around. I'm not a big drinker, but I can't wait to get my Bahama Mama!!

Babyjosie/babysam: thx for the congrats! I'm not sure I want to try the surial bath, I've heard mixed reviews about them. Besides, we'll only be in the bahamas for our honeymoon once, I want to soak up some sun and enjoy the view!! How old are you and your BF josie? just out of curiosity..

any ?s don't hesitate to ask, minnie!! think of it this way: there's a thousand people taking our cruise, and only three families on the ship will know all the tips and tricks thanks to the DIS Boards!!

08-29-2003, 01:48 AM

Don't worry!! Everything will work out!! I'm sure whatever you have planned as far as excursions go, the kids will be excited about.

I know that Palo is an adults- only restaurant, so no kids are allowed. I'm almost positive they give the kids food at the kids' clubs (don't quote me on that since I have no kids, but from what I've read they do), but if you're worried about it you could always make your reservation for Palo a little later than your dinner time, eat lightly at the restaurant with the children, and then take them back to the club and enjoy Palo. Or you could have a full meal at dinner and just enjoy the chocolate souffle and a glass of wine at Palo...any way you choose it will work out, because it's Disney, and NOTHING can go wrong!! LOL Keep in mind, a small note I didn't realize until recently, there's a $5 per person fee at Palo..I'm sorry to say I don't remember what it's for, but it's there.

I've always found that making a plan just stresses me out more. Last year on the cruise, we just "let the waves be our guide" and did whatever, and it was the most wonderful (no pun intended) vacation I've ever had. Like I said, everything will work out!!

Keep the questions coming, I enjoy voicing my opinion about the DCL!! LOL:p

08-29-2003, 08:12 AM
:D I am 35 and my DD Josie is 5 years old. My Boyfriend is 34. I want to attach a picture to my thread from our cruise last year, but have not been able to figure it out?

We have early seating and I was thinking of doing Palo on the first night about 7:30 so we could go to dinner at 6:00 with everyone and feed Jo. We would not eat and then check her into the club and go to Palo??:p Josie did really good in the clubs last year. Toward the end of the trip she wanted to stay with me more, but one night I went to get her at 11:30 pm and she was all dressed in costumes and had her face painted up. She did not want to leave. :) The only thing I did not like about the club was how dark it was. So I only put her in during the day one time when I went to the Spa. Other than that I put her in for the evening. She did go to the club on the Island for an hour while I checked out the adult beach.;) So I don't worry Minnie about you Grand kids. Since they are together they will love it! Josie will be in the same group since she is 5. They do all kinds of fun things. She loved tea with Wendy.

In the day time I would just lay out at the Mickey pool and Josie would swim and go down the slide. It is not deep and they have counselers on the slide. So I could just relax.;)

I did the Aroma ocean wrap and it was WONDERful!! I felt like mush afterwards. They brush your skin with this brush and then put green seaweed stuff all over you and wrap you in plastic and warm towels. Then she did a scalp and foot massage!! LOVED IT.
I am doing it again this trip....:)

Hope this helps.. It is so fun planning these trips. Although you just have to be open and go with the flo......Sometimes it doen not always go as planned. Just stay relaxed and have a great time....

08-29-2003, 09:52 AM
that seaweed wrap sounds nice, although I'm so ticklish on my feet I'm not sure I'd want someone touching them. LoL

Before we know it, this vacation will be here!

08-30-2003, 01:56 AM
Hi, everybody! We'll be there on the Oct. 26th cruise. Myself, DH, DS (8) and DD (10). Coming all the way from California. We've been enjoying reading your discussions of the best plan of attack, being so new to this ourselves.

I know that our cruise ends the day before Halloween, but does anyone know whether there will be any Halloween festivities on board? My kids tend to think of Halloween as a week long celebration and were thinking of bringing their costumes on board.

I love the bouncies too! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

08-31-2003, 10:58 PM
I am curious about any halloween activities on the Wonder too...
My DD, 9, will have her costume with her, since we are doing MNSSHP on Halloween night.

This is our first cruise too...Can't wait!!!

09-01-2003, 12:59 AM
Hello again, thanks for all of the info. I have gone out and bought the bunjie cords, the night lites and the over the door shoe racks. Since we will have adjoing rooms, I am hoping that this will help keep the rooms a bit more tidy. I too am wondering about Halloween activities, since we will have our costumes there for MNSSHP on the 19th. I thought we would leave them in the car, but if we have another chance to use them, will consider that. In reading all of these threads, I am wondering if it is worth our while to bring jeans and t-shirts to wear? Seems like a waste of luggage space since you cannot wear them at any of the restaurants. Is it better to just bring khackis and shirts? I have also read about a tropical night? Is this happening on the 4 day cruise or is the theme nights only on seven day cruises? I think I need this cruise just to get the feel of it and then I can take another one and know what I am doing!!
I wonder if I can convince DH that this is just a "learning cruise?"
Those Bahama Mamas sound wonderful where do I get one??
Thanks for all the advice.

These bouncy things are sooo cute!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

09-01-2003, 01:55 AM
Sad to say I'm not sure about any Halloween activities on our cruise. I hope so, that would be so fun! My FH's b-day is on Halloween. Like I said in a previous post, we had tix to the MNSSHP for the 31st but we're not going to WDW following the cruise, so if anyone wants them, let me know.

As far as the bungee cords and all that stuff, we didn't take them on our first cruise (although we knew about them) and we didn't have one bit of problem w/ anything slamming or anything, although my parents did get rolled out of bed the last night. I didn't and neither did my sister (thankfully, since she was on the murphy bed above me!!) but you never know when you might need something like that.

As far as the dress code goes, we only took three dress outfits, one for each dinner, and then we ran around in our jean shorts and t-shirts the rest of the time. It was no sweat to just go to the room and change for dinner, since most of the time we had to shower after swimming anyway. I'd bring them, but that's just me-i'm a jeans and t-shirts kind of girl.:p

We got our Bahama Mamas at the welcome aboard lunch- they were the drink of the day.

Welcome to our roll-call thread, clh and 1st time!! If you have any questions feel free to ask. I don't pretend to be all-knowing about DCL, but I'll answer any questions I'm able to. :p

09-02-2003, 08:45 AM
:D I am not sure about Halloween activities. I may call Disney and see what they can tell me? We also will have our costumes along...:jester: We are attending the MK Halloween party on Oct 31. We are all so excited!!

Don't worry everyone! Things will all fall in to place.

I will let you all know what I find out....;)

Yes Minnie I did have my 4year old son with me last time. He didn't really stay in the clubs because their weren/t many boys on the last cruise. Some kids stay all day, but I think that is more the parents choice than the kids...LOL.

Dinner is set-up when you booked the cruise, hopefully you have an early seating. We had late seating last time and the kids were always tired and cranky at dinner. The cool thing with Disney is that your servers travel with you.

There are so many things to do on shore you should have gotten an exscursion list in the mail this past week at least I got mine, then you can figure out what you want to do before hand.

As far as the kids eating what we did when we went to Palos was to feed the kids at Pinochios by the Mickey Pool this diner is always open and has stuff kids like to eat. Then we took them to the club and went to Palos, you have to go to Palos what a wonderful dining experience!!

A Conch coller is a signature drink on the ship. They are served in these great Disney drink glasses that you can keep. If you want to have them in a regular glass you can (I found this out after I had collected about 6 glasses and paid $6.50 a drink. In a reg glass they are only $4.00.

The spa was great I did the Spa Taster which was a facial and scalp massage with a full body massage. The wraps are really popular but I have MVP (my heart flutters) and so they said I really couldn't do it unless I signed a release. Get's the circulation going pretty fast.

Please don't apoligize for questions I love talking and I really love talking about Disney! Let's really try to meet on the ship and have a CC. Would love to chat! You end up meeting so many nice people on board.

Welcome!! You are going to have such a great time!!!

You could stay a day at WDW and go to the Mickey Mouse Not-So-Scary-Halloween-Party. I don't think that there is going to be anything on board becasue of the Halloween Cruise.

Any questions you have feel free to ask!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

09-02-2003, 11:27 AM
My DH husband and I will be on board celebrating our 5th anniversary. We are going to do the MNSSHP on the 30th. This is our second cruise, we did the 3 day with my parents a couple of years ago and we loved it. We can not wait!!!!

09-03-2003, 01:25 AM
Hi Kim,
Thanks for all of the tips! I haven't received anything yet about shore excrusions. We booked our trip through All Seasons travel, do you think that is why we haven't received them. I know that we do have early dining, for the same reasons, we didn't want the kids to be tired and cranky. Palos is on our list of things to do, just hope that we can get a reservation. Our plan of attack is that my daughter will go to book the spa, my hubby is supposed to try to get Palos and I will stay with the kids and get them signed up for the kids club. We don't want them to spend all of their time there, we have way to much fun with them, but I guess if they want to be there then that is another story. I have been reading all of the things that they can do and it sounds like they have every minute filled with fun things to do. As for meeting you for a conch cooler, I would really enjoy that. I would like to say thank you personally for all of your help. I am sure that I will have more questions, so will post them as I think of them. I am way to excited about this trip!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc
Thanks again!

Welcome! I am glad your going with us! We are all going to have a great time!

I am doing Palos the first night, thats what we did last time and it was great. A good way to start the trip. They have the best dessert, a chocolate souflee with vanilla sauce, unbelievable!

Don't freak about reservations, I did it with no problem. Palos is top priority. The spa I had no problems either I would suggest that you and your daughter do the tour together (very informative) as the kids club check-in is now done at the time of boarding (I was told this by a past cruiser) Palos only takes a second to reserve.

On the shore excursion you can call Disney direct or your agent and have them send you an updated brochure with all the prices and activities. Disney is pretty expensive unfortunatly. There is a web site to check out if you want to do things on your own Things to do in Nassau (http://www.cruisecritic.com/ports/newport.cfm?ID=3) Check this site out if you want to try something on your own. :Pinkbounc

09-10-2003, 08:43 AM
Hey fellow cruisers!

Just WONDERing if anyone else would be joining us....;)

My DD is just dying to have the RED BELLE dress out of the Disney catalog! So I did it!! I figure we may never be at Disney on Halloween again. She does not know I ordered it yet and I have told her she has to earn it. She is working hard in school and helping clean her room......:p She is going to be so beautiful!

We are also picking up our new puppy on Sat and of course her name is going to be BELLE! I will have to take a picture and post it on the boards.;)

Happy planning everyone! It will be here before we know it!

09-14-2003, 11:31 PM
I want to start packing for the trip already...DH would probably have me committed if I start packing when the calendar doesn't even say October yet.

09-15-2003, 12:23 AM
Oh my gosh, I thought that I was the only one who wanted to start packing already!! I have already packed all of our swimming things, as well as our laundry items. I have some shorts and t-shirts ready to go into the suitcases, and have already bought snacks for the drive down there. So looks like you are not the only one who is ready to get going. I haven't told DH that I have done this, he would also think I had lost it. Just can't wait to get there!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

09-15-2003, 07:09 AM
ive already started packing for this cruise and cant wait. i usually pack even earlier but i was trying to be good and hold out. Then one night i had a nightmare that we were on vacay and i had nothing together, no clothes, no reservation numbers. Needless to say i was packed by 10am after i woke up. havent had that dream again.

09-15-2003, 08:00 AM
Well that settles that - I guess next weekend - I am going to start "getting piles of things together!" My husband probably won't consider it packing until the suitcases are out.

09-15-2003, 11:13 AM
My FH and I have been packed for about a month now!! It's easier for me to buy something for the trip and put it right in the case, so I don't forget about it (I'm very forgetful) and also so I don't get tempted to wear it and muck it up.

09-15-2003, 11:28 AM
TA called, our info about shore excursions is in! I'm on my way now to pick them up. I'm not sure we're going to do any, but they'll be fun to think about!!!

09-15-2003, 04:54 PM
You guys know that we will all be doin' the DOC dance soon! Our cruise doc's should be coming anytime now. I almost kissed the Fed-ex man last time. It is so cool to finally have all of you documents in your hands! Makes it real!

Anyway let us all know when you get your docs, so we can all celebrate with the well know DOC dance!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

09-15-2003, 09:14 PM
We are never home during the day...so any fedex package has to get re-sent to us after we fill out the little tag thing that they leave by your front door...

On a brighter (lime green) note...I got my lime green mickey paint chips at Home Depot tonight...not sure what I will do with them yet. My DD, 9, thinks I have totally lost it.

09-16-2003, 08:46 AM
TA called me yesterday afternoon and gave me our room number- we were upgraded from a gty cat 11 to a cat 9! Woohoo!! We also got our shore excursion info yesterday and we called and signed up for Stingray City/Blue lagoon tour. FH isn't sure about the shore excursion tho, he said he'd rather explore nassau on our own, so we'll see if I can talk him into it. :p

09-16-2003, 09:14 AM

How great! A cat 9 is great you will have a big porthole in your room, you will be happy with that! I'm so glad for you! Congrats!

The Docs may also come UPS so maybe he will leave them.

09-17-2003, 11:13 AM
;) It is starting to cool down here in Missouri and so I have been putting any summer things that I am taking on the cruise in my suitcase instead of packing it away for the winter. Swimsuits, summer dresses, capris ect................... I usually take to much! Plus I need to think about how I am going to pack the costumes. SO EXCITED!!

;) Did you see on the main wdwinfo website they have something about a new show on the WONDER called Golden Mickey??
Looks like something we may have to see this trip......;) I WONDER if they still have Disney Dreams?

Since we used a TA I bet I won't get our Documents for a couple more weeks????:( OHwell....... I need to find my Birth Certs...

Congrats Auntie Kim!! :earseek:

09-17-2003, 09:40 PM

09-19-2003, 06:49 PM

09-20-2003, 11:22 AM
I'm getting impatient. I am sooooo stressed out at work right now - I need this vacation...

09-21-2003, 08:41 AM
My TA called on thursday, our docs came in!! I was sooo excited I was literally dancing all the way to my car. Yesterday, we bought our airline tickets. We're all done! This trip is in the bag!! Is anyone else so excited you can't hardly stand it?!!

09-21-2003, 08:48 AM

09-22-2003, 08:06 PM
Started to get things together to pack. It's so cool here that I can easily put the shorts and other summer stuff in a suitcase. I am getting so excited!

Minnie (Vickie) I haven't heard from you in awhile. You get your Docs?

Let's keep the thread alive guys! We only have 30something days!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

09-22-2003, 08:47 PM
We got our docs on Friday! We ducked out of work a little early to pick them up. We live in FL so we use our shorts and bathing suits, but I want to pack too. Can't wait!

09-22-2003, 09:02 PM
dont forget that on that sunday is the daylight savings time !! make sure u change your clocks!!

09-22-2003, 11:00 PM
Hey everyone, I got home from work today, and there sitting on my dining room table were two fed-ex envelopes!!!! I almost couldn't open them I was so excited. Yep, there they were, those wonderful papers that are going to allow us to get on the Disney Wonder: I am so excited!! I was really concerned, because when I last talked to my TA he said that the docs may not be in before we left for Disney on the 16th. He assured me that we would be anle to pick them up at the terminal, but I feel much better with them in my hand. I am so excited. Thanks for asking about me Kim, I have been reading a few posts at nite before I turn in, just not posting much. It is considerably cooler here too, I am wondering if I should try to pack a few of the summer items??? I have a mid-term tomorrow night, so I need to study tonight, but tomorrow I will be reading those docs, cover to cover!! Everyone take care, and I hope to see some of you on board.:earsgirl: :earsboy:

09-23-2003, 02:39 AM
I'm so excited for this trip..I'm driving my FH CRAZY. I have little countdowns and reminders all over his house..I tell him on a daily basis how many days we have left. I think I'm more excited about the honeymoon than the wedding itself..is that normal?! LOL

Anyone doing any shore excursions? We were toying w/ the notion of doing the blue lagoon beach day, but we decided not to. He's never seen the ocean let alone been in it, so I think that scared him a little. He'll swim at CC though, he already promised. besides, we've got all our snorkel gear already.

See you real soon!!

09-23-2003, 08:25 AM
 No Doc's yet....My TA is on a cruise in Canada and so I assume that myself or my BF won't have our Documents till after this weekend......;) Oh well, I am not worried!! Still a month away, but you know time will fly.

Went to K-mart yesterday and got DD some cute sandals for $5 and put them up in the suitcase.

I think we are set on clothes and shoes..... I am going to start tanning next week and try and go about 5 or 6 times before we leave. Aunt Kim and I are getting our nails and toes done on that Friday before we leave.

It is all coming together!!!:Pinkbounc

09-24-2003, 09:43 AM
Keepin' the thread alive! ha ha ha:Pinkbounc

09-25-2003, 09:13 AM
Not much to say. Just wanted to let everyone know, if you didn't know already, how excited I am!!!

Just got all of my docs for WDW! Already have my MMNSSHP tickets! Can't wait!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

09-25-2003, 11:28 AM
;) Time to start the primping!! I just made my appt for color and cut on Oct 10th and I plan to start tanning next week.

Kim and I are doing nails and toes the day before we leave. I am getting a set of nails put on so that my hands look nice.

This is so fun!

I need to pick up a LARGE suitcase for DD and I. I have plenty set aside to pack.:jester:

09-29-2003, 01:13 PM
How is everyone???? Time is closing in on our trip!! I am so excited!

Can not get here fast enough....

still can not find my and DD's Birth Certs????
Called Health Dept in town and they said the could print me two new ones that would be valid!! Thank goodness!
I am cutting it to close..

Are you all brining bubbles for the sailaway party??????

It is so much fun!;)

09-30-2003, 09:13 AM
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Just seeing how everyone is doing. I am so excited!!!

We only have three weeks and some days till we go!!

Just wanted to check in.

09-30-2003, 12:57 PM
:sunny: :sunny: Hey Aunt Kim and fellowcruisers.......I am sitting her in training today thinking about laying in the sun on Castaway Cay! Wishing so bad I was there right now....Just peeked outside and it is dreary, raining and barely 60 degrees..:(

Not much longer and we will set sail!

Not much else going on. Just wanted to say hey.........

09-30-2003, 06:41 PM
OK so it isn't anything exciting - just the roll of quarters and the laundry soap tabs for doing a load or two of clothes.

I also have my "alien green" mickey mouse heads from Home Depot. Don't know what I'll do with them yet...but I was there for something else, and I picked some up.

But this weekend - the packing will begin, the forms filled out etc, the loose change I've been saving for about 6 months is going to the bank for counting etc!

I can't wait!

10-01-2003, 02:32 AM
babyjosie, I would love for it to be barely 60 degrees here(N Ohio)!! The temp has been in the low 50s during the day and down in the 30s at night...that balmy breeze is getting more and more inviting!! The way things are going weather wise here, I'm going to have a snow wedding!!

We've got everything packed and ready to go..it sure is sneaking up on us fast!!

10-01-2003, 08:38 AM
Now we are getting into the 20's tonight!!! TOO SOON!!! BRRRRR

I am ready to bask in the SUN:sunny: :sunny:

I pray we have beautiful weather like last year! Sunny and 80 everyday!

TA called and is mailling Documents....I should have them by Friday!

Take care everyone and happy packing......:p

10-01-2003, 07:05 PM
Hey everyone, it's me again! I can't keep away from these boards!! I guess it's because we are crusing in less than 25 days!!! :hyper: I can't believe it is so close. I remeber just a year ago booking our second Disney cruise and thinking, "Gosh" this is going to take forever! My niece Michelle (babyjosie98) and I thought everyone would think we were crazy :crazy2: booking another cruise right after getting back from our first just months before. Oh well after reading these boards the past couple of years I see that there are people just like us. Once you do a ::MickeyMo Disney ::MickeyMo cruise you get hooked.

I just thought I would take a moment to see how everyone is doing. Oh and also trying to keep our thread alive...LOL

Talk at ya'll later!

10-04-2003, 07:29 PM
This would be the last post I need (#75) before I change from Welcomed Guest status to 'Dis Veteran' status.

Thanks for humoring me.

Just a quick question - since this is Halloween week afterall...It doesn't sound like DCL is doing any Halloween related activities this cruise...Anyone interested in the kids doing a DIS-er trick or treat? While our DD, 9, is very excited about the trip - this will be the first time she has missed trick or treat.

10-05-2003, 10:16 AM
Thats a good idea trick-or-treating on the ship. I would be intrested, anyone else?

10-07-2003, 09:24 PM
So - who's got their shore excursions planned?

I'd love to see Atlantis, then snorkeling on Castaway Cay.

We are getting soooooo close!

BabySam99 - I noticed you are going to be at MNSSHP on Halloween too!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

10-08-2003, 12:02 AM
We will be arriving in Disney on the 17th and then doing the Disney Cruise starting the 26th, Anyone started packing yet?? We are so excited. Only 10 days to go!! Any last words of advice?? :bounce: :Pinkbounc :earsboy: :earsgirl:

10-08-2003, 10:16 AM
clh2 yes we will be at the party! You too? I am so excited I can hardly do anything else but dream of Disney!

Minnie my only advice is that you have a great time and have lot's of fun!

If anyones intrested the day we board the ship, our whole group will be on deck 9 at the buffet until our rooms are ready, we will sit outside. I'm tall, and I have short dark hair and will have my son Sam with me I also have black horn rimmed glasses that I wear sometime. I will wear them that day as I will be easy to spot...LOL So please come over and say Hi! Would love to meet ya'll! :grouphug:

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

10-09-2003, 12:19 AM
Hi to everyone else that's going to be on the Wonder Oct. 26th.

Tonight is my first night posting to this forum that someone in another forum on children told me about.

The last time we signed up for a cruise was going to be the 1st Western Carribien cruise, but DW got pregnant with our first such that she would be past the time Disney would let her on the boat.

This will be our first cruise with baby, and we just consider it a reconnaissance mission to plan a 7 day (or the 10 day) cruise with baby (he'll be two by then).

We only decided to go just a week ago when I started working on updating photo albums (hadn't done is since baby) and we starting pining for a cruise seeing our old cruise pictures.

Looks like I'm going to have to get back into keeping up with things going on at DCL as lots seems to have changed during our two year hiatis. The biggest one being the price. We used to get great rates this time of year (and usually booked months in advance). I was a little taken aback by the price of veranda rooms. We have always had a veranda room in the past, but with a nearly 800 price difference between a specail DCL has with Cat 11 v. regular priced Cat 7, we had to opt for the inside room to make this list minute trip.

We also got stuck with 2nd seating dinner booking so late. We have tried both early and late seating and really prefered the late seating (you don't get rushed out to make way for the next seating) but with baby, we would have liked 1st seating.

Anyone else on this trip with small childeren (toddlers) with 2nd seating dinner?

10-09-2003, 12:22 AM
Oh, almost forgot.

Someone else was asking about Disney Dreams. We've gotten out Docs and it seems to indicate that it has been replaced.

I just hope that "Hurcules the Mussical" has been replaced. It played on all four of our previous trips. It's good, but having seen it three times is enough.

10-09-2003, 08:16 AM
::MinnieMo I do believe Disney Dreams is still showing on the ship and they have added a new show called Golden mickeys::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

We have small children, but are going to be in early seating. We did late last year we had late with a 3 and 4 year old and it was just too late for them. They were cranky by the time dinner came. So we are trying early this trip.:p We have 12 people in our group with kids ranging from 3 to 7.

We did the Cat 11 last year and it was not so bad since you are hardly in the room. Let me tell ya you sleep really good with no sunlight at all. This trip I snagged one of the secret porthole rooms on deck 5:hyper: :hyper:

I did notice how much prices have went up over the past few months. We got an awesome rate back in Jan when we booked. We are all so excited!!!!!:sunny:

Glad to have you on board!!!! :wave2:

10-09-2003, 06:46 PM
We'll be across the hall from you, also in a SPH. :chat: :chat:

I may have DD,9, wear her favorite lime green shorts on the 26th. Of course - since I WANT her to wear them then - she probably WON'T wear them.

10-10-2003, 07:39 AM
::MinnieMo I am sure we will run into each other at some point. I can not wait to see the room.....:hyper: :hyper: My DD is 5 and is a little blond wild child with a missing front tooth(since age 2)....

We are setting the mood for our Disney trip by going to Disney's jungle adventure on Ice tonight in St.louis......:rotfl:

Two weeks from Sat we leave!!!! So excited!:hyper:

I see your staying at the Swan and Dolphin after the cruise. I stayed there this past April and just loved it. So convenient to everything and not tons of Children. I know I will like the ASM,but I am kind of spoiled by the Moderates and Deluxe hotels.I guess I can handle it for 2 nights..... Next time though I am doing either AK or WL. Maybe next year around the holidays.

10-10-2003, 12:50 PM
If you are in room 5022 that was the room that my Aunt booked when I got 5020 back in Jan this year!!:hyper: :hyper:

We were so excitec to get the secret porthole rooms together and then she decided to upgrade to the Navigator Verahanda and so that made the room available.

That must be when you snagged it!!! Good job!!:teeth: They seem to book fast. I think we are going to love it and you sure can not beat the price!:sunny:

Have a good weekend fellow cruisers....

10-10-2003, 07:33 PM
to keep this thread on the 1st or 2nd page - just so I can find it easier...

gotta go - its girls night out for stamping

Cruisin' Susan
10-11-2003, 12:49 PM
Someone mentioned before that we could organize Trick-or-Treating. We could maybe meet someplace on the ship.
My kids, a girl 10, and a boy 8, think it's a great idea.princess:

PS Used to be the user 1st time cruiser

10-11-2003, 02:20 PM
I'm glad to hear there will be another girl on board about my DD's age. My DD is 9 1/2.

To all others on this cruise - maybe we could squeeze in a trick or treat on the "at sea day"???pirate:

10-12-2003, 09:46 AM
Welcome to the boards Susan! :wave2:

Are you guys as excited as I am?! I can't wait!!:hyper: :hyper:

10-12-2003, 09:48 AM
Just read the post about you changing your name....sorry. :o

:sunny: :sunny:

Cruisin' Susan
10-12-2003, 03:03 PM
That's alright BabySam. Thanks for the welcome! DD wanted me to change my name from 1st time cruiser because it wouldn't make sense after our cruise. I guess she's planning on us going on lots of cruises.

We are so excited and can't believe it's only two weeks now - even less for those extra lucky people going to the parks first.

One question I had was whether anyone knew whether there was a drugstore on-board? We will take what we think we'll need but it would be nice to know if there was a place to get things if something unexpected came up.

10-13-2003, 01:09 PM
:earsgirl: The ship does have a doctor and if you need something you can get it. I tend to pack a little bit of everything to cover all the bases.;)

Glad to have you on board...

12 days!! I can not believe it. I checked accuweather.com and it looks fabulous for our trip~~~:sunny: :sunny: I just hope that forcast holds up.
I tried on several outfits last night trying to decide what I want to bring. I have started throwing things into my suitcase.

:wave2: Talk to ya all later.....:wave2:

10-13-2003, 02:53 PM
You going crazy Minnie? 2 days! woohoo for you! Have fun in WDW and we will see you on the ship!!!

Hey HooKooDooKu! Glad your sailing with us! The late seating can be negotiated once you are on the ship. If you call guest services they will get you in touch with the head server and see if they can change your seating. He said he probably could if we would have called when we got on the ship. I know my son was cranky at dinner when we had late seating last time. He was tired and didn't want to sit still. Just a thought. Hope it helps!

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

10-13-2003, 10:42 PM
We'll be in 5520.

Less than two weeks now:wave2:

10-14-2003, 08:21 AM
:earsgirl: That is the room my Aunt had originally booked when I booked 5020. So cool that you snatched it up when she let it go.

I can not believe how soon we are going! Tomorrow night I am going to buy me and Josie a new BIG suit case so I can fit all our stuff in it.

I have been reading on the trip report boards that several people have been getting surprise upgrades when they check in. Some where moved from a Cat 11 to a 5!!! Would that not be awesome......:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Although I may be a bit nervous having a veranda with Jo Jo....

Take care.....:wave2:

10-14-2003, 07:45 PM
Way to go aunt - I hope she enjoys her verandah:D

We already had been booked into a SPH, 5024 I believe. One Saturday night, I was surfing the DIS and someone had posted about a website where you could see some of the available cabins. Imagine my surprise when 5520 was listed as available. I quickly tried to figure out if that was also a SPH, because there was some braincell of mine that was flashing SPH, SPH, SPH. I quickly got my reservation number, and called DCL. The CM at DCL was so excited I was able to switch from 5024 into this SPH. She couldn't believe that someone gave an SPH up. (While there is the ongoing debate about who to book through - since I did my ressie direct with DCL, I was just able to switch it. Hopefully I have not used up my allotment of pixie dust!

I bought a new suitcase about a week ago, it is still in my van. I have been so busy with a number of things that I really haven't had a chance to actually pack. Although I do have some piles of my DD's clothes/bathing suits just about ready to go. I also have some of the misc. recommendations already in the "packing zone" i.e. the laundry soap tablets, a roll of quarters for the laundry etc. Not very exciting stuff, but I would hate to have to figure that out the night before we leave.

Please tell your aunt thanks for the room! Although if your aunt really misses being close to you, we could arrange for a switch! ;)

10-15-2003, 09:27 AM
CLH glad you got my room! I just loved my verandah and couldn't pass up having another one this trip. I hated giving up my SPH but I am glad it went to a friend of mine on the boards! :wave2:

I will miss my little niece, but I will be okay...:cutie:

I can't believe we only have 10 days till the trip! Soon we will be in the single digits!

See ya'll...soon!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

10-15-2003, 11:56 PM
On Saturday night, we'll be at the Radisson, without a car:( We need to be up at 4:30 in the morning to get the the airport, so we are taking a towncar to Port Canaveral. Will anyone else be there too?

10-16-2003, 08:09 AM
 The 12 of us going will also be staying at the Radisson on Sat night... We leave St.Louis at 8:00 am and should arrive and be to the Rad by 1:00. We have a shuttle taking us to the hotel.

So we won't have a car either.

We have decided to go to a place called Grills Seafood and Tiki bar Sat for dinner. We want to watch the Magic leave port...:boat: They say it sails right by and blows it horn at the people dining.:hyper: We are so excited and the kids are going to love it. Check out the website. It looks fun..

I guess we will grab a taxi to the restaurant. It is less than a mile away.

Not much longer!!:sunny:

10-16-2003, 07:34 PM
That restaurant sounds fabulous. I'll have to fly that one past DH. Do you know if they have a children's menu?

I'm sure that you noticed the coupon on their website?:yo-yo: :yo-yo:

I look like this in the morning!

10-17-2003, 08:33 AM
:sunny: When I was looking on line to find out about the restaurant it was listed under family places in Cocoa beach.:sunny:

So I believe it is Kid friendly..... My DD loves fried shrimp and so I know they have that covered.

You can e-mail them and ask them about the kids menu?:wave2:

I can not believe that we leave next Saturday!!!! One more week!

:wave2: :wave2:

OH YES! I did print the coupon!!!:hyper: :hyper: The menu sounds great!

10-18-2003, 01:43 AM
Single digits, can you believe it?!?! Not much longer and we'll be leaving port for four days of fun and sun!! I'm so excited...

Who will be wearing green at the sailaway party? I'll see what I have in the suitcase..I've had it packed for so long that I can't remember!!

Anyone going to Palo, or have spa reservations? I think we're going to go to Palo twice, the 27th and the 30th. I'm not too big on the spa idea.

See you REAL SOON!!

10-18-2003, 04:20 PM
Are you also sailing on the 10/30/03 Wonder...The rest of us will be disembarking on the morning of the 30th...

If everything goes according to my plan, my DD, 9, will be wearing lime green shorts - they were her favorites this summer. Of course - since I WANT her to wear them - she'll probably find something wrong with them.

Are you getting to the port on Sunday?

Wishing you a lovely wedding day!

10-18-2003, 05:54 PM
No no no...I'll be on the 10/26 wonder. It was very late last night when I wrote that post and I didn't realize that I had put the 30th for a Palo night!! Thanks for catching that!! :hyper:

Cruisin' Susan
10-18-2003, 05:57 PM
Hi to all!!

Wow, just one week and a day to the big day. After hoping for so long that it would hurry up and come, now I feel like I need more time to get everything done. This is the weekend for laundary and packing for us, since we leave really early Saturday.

BabyJosie98 thanks for the link to accuweather. That 15 day forecast is great. I've been checking it every day. The forecast for our days has been changing a little every day, but basically looks good.

Love reading all the tips on this board. Not sure how many of them I'll remember - maybe I should take notes. Anyway, at least we won't be totally clueless.

Susan :hyper:

10-18-2003, 07:20 PM
Where are you staying on Saturday night?

Some of us are going to be at the Radisson.

10-18-2003, 09:31 PM
According to Verandah Man - you can now reserve your shuttle time in advance to get to the port. We're on the 10:30.

We filled out the cruise docs today. It is getting close!!!

10-19-2003, 05:05 PM
Can you guys stand it?! 5 days!!!! Woo Hoo!!:Pinkbounc

CLH you at the Radisson too...great!

Like I said I will wear my glasses, you pick me out of a crowd at 20 paces!:rotfl: I have black horn rimmed glasses and I think I will be wearing my black linen overalls. I dont have anything green so thats why I'm telling any of you that want to meet me and Babyjosie. Hope we get to chat for a minute in the terminal, thats were a lot of Diser's try to meet...so look for me and say "Hey!":wave2: I have short dark hair and will have a little 4yr old son in tow.

Good luck with the wedding!

Sol I think I may do the spa once for something I really haven't figured out what I want to do yet. Palos we are going on either the first night or the last.

It has been a pleasure chatting with all of you for the past few months and I hope you all have a wonderful cruise!

10-19-2003, 09:22 PM
I think it is because we need to leave for the airport at 5:00 on Saturday morning. I am soooo not a morning person. So everything needs to be ready by Friday evening.

I just know I am going to have the "what if I forget something important" nightmares this week. As long as it isn't the airline tickets, driver's license, cruise docs or birth certificates, I know I can buy anything else. But I still think I'll have a "forgot something important" nightmare or two.

Oh well, a nice stiff drink before bedtime will probably solve that...

BabySam - we are in one of the SPH, #5520. When we are at the terminal, waiting to board, my DD will be wearing lime green shorts and a striped shirt - IF IT KILLS ME (AND IT JUST MAY) - that is what she will be wearing.

We are signed up for the 10:30 shuttle over to the terminal.

Can't wait for the warm weather...We are getting close.

Cruisin' Susan
10-20-2003, 01:55 AM
We are staying at the Hilton. I kind of wish we were staying at the Radison, because it looks great, but we are in the hotel so short a time that I did a cheapie Priceline bid and ended up with the Hilton, which I've heard is kind of so-so, not your usual Hilton standard but don't think it'll matter for us. We probably won't arrive til after midnight Saturday.

I'm also trying to stay focused on the essentials, like documents, but I'm feeling like this right now.

Guess I better look into getting the docs filled out too. Don't want to be one of those people holding up the boarding line!

10-20-2003, 08:37 AM
::MickeyMo OMG Not much longer now! I too have nightmares of not having my Birth Certs and stuff. I have everything in a folder and I have pretty much packed my large suit case.;) We have waited so long and now it is here!!!!! Now the scramble.....:hyper:

Ok WEATHER UPDATE!!:sunny: Looks so wonderful!! I tell you the forcast is darn near perfect!!!! It has to hold!!!:sunny:

I am not sure what to wear to the sail away party?? I got a really cute linen white dress from the Gap this weekend for $7 and I may wear that!! DD has a white cotton dress too and so we are thinking it would be cool and comfy...

I can not even concentrate on work!!UGH!

Bye girls!:wave2:

10-20-2003, 09:41 AM
Wow...at this time next Monday morning, we'll be waking up in Nassau, with the sun refllecting off that gorgeous blue water!

Thanks for all the wishes for the wedding, I'm sure that once the ceremony is done the only thing I will be thinking about is the cruise. It's all I can think about now! I've got to get my documents together..for the past 6 months I've been so careful with my drivers license-I have a bad habit of losing it- and now, don't you know the week before the trip I lose the dumb thing! Same with my sunglasses.

See you real soon!

We are going to do Palo on the first night with my Aunt at around 7:30.:teeth: We have early dining and so I am going to go ahead and take DD to dinner at that time with the rest of our party so we can meet our servers. My best friend and her DS will also be on the cruise and this is their first trip. So I promised her I would come to dinner that night. I am just NOT going to eat till I get to Palo. I am checking Jo in at the Kids club after she is done eating. Atleast this is the plan??

I am also going to make a spa ressie for the Nassau day. Last year I did the Aroma spa ocean wrap and it was Heavely!

I can not wait to do it again!! I was so relaxed afterwards!! I need it...:teeth:

I love accu weather's forcast, but other forcast like Yahoo say a chance for showers on Sat and Sun in Cocoa beach??? Only a slight chance!! :( I just want the sail a way party to happen bad..... That is so fun.

Ok I rambled enough....gotta get some work daone. hee hee:crazy:

THE SAILAWAY PARTY WILL HAPPEN. lol Nothing is allowed to touch those ships except sunshine, its a rule or something. Wouldn't it be awesome if that were true?! No seriously, I wouldn't worry about the rain..when we sailed last year there was 2 hurricanes off the coast of Florida, Isador and Lilly. the night we got to Cocoa Beach was absolutely horrible, big black clouds and buckets of rain. the next morning, the day we sailed, it was still pretty yucky, overcast and stuff. When we got to the top deck it sprinkled a bit and then the sun came out, that was the last time we saw any rain. So no worries, we'll be fine!!

BTW, for those of you staying at Radisson and catching the transfers at 10:30- go outside to catch the shuttle early. we had a 10:30 shuttle and went out there by 9:45- there was already one family waiting. the shuttle came early and took us right over (I swear our driver was Joey Fatone from NSync!) and we were in the terminal by 10:20. Just a little FYI.

See you real soon!!

I have a meeting tomorrow night - but Wednesday - I've got plans to finish up the packing.

Didn't think to pick up anything for the sail-away party...so I'll just be in normal street clothes. There is nothing in the Wisconsin stores right now that resembles a summer wardrobe.

I have to laugh a little bit though. DH is taking Friday 10/24 off from work. He thinks it is going to be a relaxing day. The honey-do list is huge. Pick up the drycleaning, pick up the schoolwork DD needs to complete on the trip, pick up breakfast to eat on the plane, plus everything else I will think up before then.

See you all soon!

The honey-do list thats cute! He will be in for a rude awakening...there is always soooo much to do! :hyper:

Can't wait! So excited!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Well I am packed and ready to go, just need my toiletry<sp> bag packed and thats it!

I shipped my halloween costumes to WDW so I didn't have to carry them. I have a second costume I will bring on the ship for my son just in case. It is a small costume, no bulk. The fireman costune has a big helmet and big boots and mine has boots and a big witch hat it just wouldn't all fit in my suitcase.

Well just wanted to check-in with ya'll!

Happy cruising!:wave2: :wave2:

DD is packed - it really helped she had a class tonight as I was able to concentrate and just get it done.

1 down - 2 to go!

EDIT: Now we are all packed excpet for the slacks that are at the cleaners - and our shaving/make-up bags.

The Wisc. weather report - it was hailing at our house tonight.

This is so exciting.

:Pinkbounc I want to be there. NOW.:Pinkbounc

FH and I finished up our packing today, too. The only thing(s) we have left are his dress shoes (need those for rehersal Friday night) and my makeup bag. Everything else is ready to go!

Don't forget your hand sanitizer..it's Norwalk season!

I hope we make it to the boat.

DW and I spend the last 24 hours taking care of a baby (who's comming with us) who caught the stomic virus. Poor little thing started vomiting as we tried to put him to bed Wednesday night. He's just getting over some sort of a cold/sinus infection that was keeping him from eating, so he soon reached the dry heaves with this stomic virus.

The two questions now are:
1) Can we get him rehydrated (he still don't want to eat or drink very much)?
2) Are we going to come down with it?

We know that Patrick got the stomic virus from MDO program at church Tuesday (first time he's been out and around other kids for over a week), and it was right at 36 hours he got sick. As I write this, DW and I feel ok (other than getting over the colds we caught from Patrick) but we could still easily get sick by this evening.

I figure if neither one of us is sick by tommorrow morning, we'll have missed getting the stomic virus from Patrick and he can start heading for the boat.

Our only other chance of making the cruise is for us both to get sick in the next 12 hours. That will give us until Saturday night to get over it and still have time to get to the boat if we drive through the night.

Hope to be able to see ya'll on the boat.

Thanks Michelle, it helps brighten my day to know someone is thinking about us.

If everything goes well, we should be one of the first in line to get on the boat Sunday morning.

You'll know its us if you see a family of three with Daddy with short brown hair (turning gray), Mommy has mid-length red hair, and Patrick is a 14 month old blond.

We are taking the 10:30 shuttle from the Radisson and hope to get in line early too...:hyper: We have a group of 11. I have med

Can't wait! I know you guys will make it just fine! Think Positive!

I am Michelles Aunt princess: and we will be on the same cruise...I hope, hope, hope that everything works out for you guys!:wave2: I have short black hair too and will have a wild four-year old boy with me. The day we sail I will be wearing my black horned rim glasses and my black linen overalls with a pink shirt. If you see us say "Hey":grouphug:

Thanks BabySam99,

I spoke to the Dr's office this morning about Patrick and as long as we get some fluids in him, they can't give us any reason not to go. So since he is at least drinking formula, it looks like Patrick is going to be ready to go.

As of noon today, the good news is that neither of us seems sick yet, but we're not out of the woods yet. If we caught anything from Patrick before he started getting sick, we should either already be getting sick (its been 36 hours, the amount of time from exposure to vomit for Patrick) or get sick in the next several hours.

Once we realized Patrick had a stomic virus, we tried to keep our hands washed and kept things clean to avoid getting sick, but you never know. I'm assuming that worst case is that we might have gotten sick for diarrea dipers from last night. Assuming it takes 48 hours at most to get sick, we won't know for sure until we arrive in Titusville tommorrow night.

But given the fact that neither one of us feels sick yet, that it's been 36 hours since initial exposure, and that the last time I had a stomic virus, I felt ill before the truly sick stage hit, I've got lots of hope. I'm currently expecting to see all of ya at the port Sunday morning.

I think you guys will be fine! You say you washed your hands and thats a good thing.

I hope to see you all in Florida! Jave a good trip and be careful!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Well, it's about 8 hours before we get in the car and drive to Florida.

The good news is that I'm feeling pretty good.

The bad news is that the wife got sick today. Given that the virus usually causes you to vomit for about 6-9 hours, I expect that, with a box of AmodiumAD, we should be on the road on time.

The timing of it makes it sound like she might have not gotten cleaned up enough when Patrick initially got sick in her lap, soaking her cloths. At least that's what I hope (20/20 hind sight, if you baby vomits the stomic virus on you, take a shower). Patrick never got sick "on" me, and enought time has passed now that I shouldn't be able to get sick from him.

The only worry now is if I manage to get sick from her. That currently makes for a worst case sinario of we get to Florida, and THEN I get sick. Given that she's not getting sick on me (and clean up is just us Lysol on the toilet as apposed to doing laundry), I think we're still going to make it.
