DD who is 10 and will be 11 next January likes to watch me on these boards commenting on Disney, lots of time she will tell me to add something. My question is for those of you who have kids on the Teen Boards do you think she is to young for the Teen Boards? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

My DD is 11, and I have allowed her to post. I checked out the board myself and came upon a posting "tell us about you" or something like that, a lot of the posters were 10 and 11, so that made me feel better. She like, your children, loves to read over my shoulder so it has been great fun for her to ask some questions herself. I still insist she cannot give out personal information, such as address or phone number and we don't yet have all the options enabled like instant messaging. I am looking forward to reading more replies to your letter!

I also checked out the Teen board before I let my child post there.
One of the things that I thought was good was that the board moves pretty slow. That way I could check out my child's posts, after, just to check about appropriateness and to make sure personal stuff wasn't being requested. or given.
I was glad to know that my child was concerned about safety too. My child created a pen name and added some years to age,as that looked safer, and left out all optional info,so no additional info can be found.
AS my child got older,we added MSN Messenger [an older version,we won't up date, not yet]as you can only talk to one person at a time and you are sent a request to add another person to your friends list and if you say no then they can't contact you. My child seems to be able to keep 2 conversations going on 2 messengers at a time though!!lol!!
