I just started Curves. I was wondering, for those who go to Curves, how many days a week do you workout? They say at least 3 times a week, and I remember hearing that you are supposed to let your muscles rest a day between workouts. But I was thinking I would like to be doing the workout 4-5 times a week, but I am just wondering what everyone else is doing, and what your results have been. Thanks for the help!

I don't know about Curves, but I'm sure that someone here might be able to help you.
You can do it. Onward and downward.
God bless you, best wishes, and encouragement, RaySharpton:)

When I first started going to CurvesI went 4-6 times a week. I was pleased with the results, but then I kept hearing the day between routine. So-o-o-o, I switched-and added walking for those odd days. I now go to Curves the 3 times a week, but really work the machines hard and using the recovery boards as that-recovery. When I go back to school in the fall, depending on my (kids') schedules  , I will likely up it to 4-5 again, just for the discipline and stress relief (and Mommy time!). In those cases, on the odd days, I will work the recovery boards hard, and use the machines lightly.
Oh, and as long as I DO work the machines hard, the results have been good. :jester:
You'll love Curves! Have fun!

I go 3 x a week - I've been told that you can go more, but only work your upper body on 1 day, then lower body the next - and I haven't figured out how you're supposed to do that.
I try to walk or do the WATP videos on the other days.
At my 1 month measure/weigh in I lost 10.3 lbs and 8.75 inches. I have my 2nd month measure next Friday.
Enjoy it!

I go 4 days per week, Monday thru Thursday. My Curves closes earlier on Fridays (7pm) and it is impossible for me on Saturdays (noon closing!). I work out, in some form, everyday. I know they say to give yourself rest, but I find that the one day I rest, I get really immobile---make that just plain LAZY! I have had no problem with pain or anything so I figure I will just go for it! Next week is my 1st Curves weigh-in/measurements so I am excited to see what their results are!
Don't you just LOVE Curves?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I am REALLY enjoying it alot so far, and I am really surprised by how quickly the workout goes.
Debbie - that is really good advise. I never really thought about alternating working hard on the recovery stations one day for a better cardio (and to rest the muscles) and then work hard on the machines on the opposite days. I really appreciate the advise, I am going to try that out, and go about 4 times a week, I think.
mishoe - congrats on your 1st month results, sounds like you are doing great!
Mom2Princess - Keep up all of that hard work! I am sure you are going to be thrilled with your results next week!
