View Full Version : I had 2 servings of regular Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream!!

But,

I was within my points!! That is what I love about WW's. Monday I had my regular Kashi for breakfast and a snack, and had stopped by the mall and had steamed veggies, shrimp and rice. I went to weigh-in prior to eating, so when I came home I had 2 cups of a pasta dish I had made on Sunday. I was feeling full, and had 9 points left over for the day. I really didn't want to eat any more "food food". DH and the kids were getting Ice Cream, and preparing to watch a movie and have a "mini family night". DH had bought my favorite.....Chocolate Peanut Butter. It's so good, and up until that point I hadn't desired any. I figured out the points and it was 4.5 for a 1/2 cup serving. Hmm, 2 servings would be 9 points. That is exactly what I had left for the day. I ate it! I did feel slightly guilty, like I was cheating or something. How can you diet and have Peanut Butter Ice Cream?? I guess that is why I love WW's so much, because I can have the things I really enjoy sometimes. I just have to eat it in moderation. So much for sticking to lower carbs that day! Just dinner and my dessert were very high carbs.

I just had to share, and let everyone on WW's know..........it's ok to have that special something that you really enjoy as long as you stay within your points. I think that is why I am loosing so fast this time around. I am allowing myself to eat the things I really enjoy, just in moderation.

Melanie- Do I still have chocolate and peanut butter on my face??

Good for you, Melanie !!! They had "ice cream parlour Maple Walnut" ice cream on sale at Loblaws the other night ... I bought some, and will do exactly what you did when I'm having a "lower points day" !!! I "stress-ate" 2 slices of white bread last night (something I haven't done in while) ... when I put them in my journal, I realized that I was still within points ... that made a little of the guilt disappear!

If this is going to be a lifestyle change for me, rather than a "I'm dieting and I CAN'T have something", I need to have these little treats ... 'cause that's how life goes !

Don't you love it???? I did this one day, too, when I realized I had low points for the day! It sure is easier to stay on plan when you realize that you CAN occasionally have something kind of sinful. ;) And still manage to lose weight!

I should know better than to read posts about ice cream when I have PMS, d'oh! ;) Your post made me drool all over the keyboard!

Glad you enjoyed your treat and that it fit into your points! Woo-hoo!!!!!

I just got some Healthy Choice Rocky Road last night. I measured out a serving for me and one for DH (1/2 cup). It was SOOO yummy! It's not something I will have every day, but perhaps once a week! ;)
