merchandise revisited--that's one heck of a shot glass!

I just checked EBAy for DVC merchandise (I had a bid on a pin and forgot about it, I was outbid and never got a notice). I saw a DVC etched shot glass with the 3 mountains logo on it. I looked because I collect shot glasses. WEll, the bid on this little thing is up over $35! You read that right, thirty-five dollars!!!!
For a shot glass!!!
Am I missing something? Is this the holy grail of DVC merchandise??

Do you think it is because you can no longer get merchandise with the 3 mountain logo? I checked my own shot glass, and it has the 3 mountains. I think I purchased it in '94 or '95.

I have several different DVC shotglasses ( we collect them from where ever we go on vacation). I'm bummed because mine is the painted one with 3 mts. on it. I do have one that's etched with 2 mountains and it says member on it. Another one is etched with 2 mts. but doesn't say member..wish I remembered what year I purchased them.

One of the reasons that the shot glass may be getting that kind of money is that it does not have the "Mickey" sun over the mountains. It may be considered an error and therefore worth more.
