Has anyone used this Hoilday Inn, suppossed to be one mile from front WDW gate. Would love any opinions from someone who stayed there recently.

We stayed there in February as a 2 night addition to our vacation. I booked the rooms via Holiday Inn's Priority Club Website, and got what I feel is a good rate. The place was pretty clean, we didn't try the restaurant, though. Our room had 2 mini-fridge's and a microwave. The pool area was clean and neat...and heated (February was pretty brrrr). Our only problem was that I was charged a different rate than I was quoted when I made the reservations (it was a split rate, and they charged me the same rate both nights). Since I kept the confirmations on my laptop, I printed them and sent them with a bill to the hotel, and I was reimbursed the difference.

I would definitely suggest signing up for Priority Club before you go. You get preferred check-in, and you also got a discount card for the restuarant and a coupon book. ALso, you have the option for a late check-out if needed. Go to http://www.priorityclub.com to sign up.

How big were the rooms in relation to your stay at ALL Stars?

The rooms at Nikki Bird was a little bigger than All Star. Especially the sink/restroom area.

I am a priority club member also and stop at Holiday Inn's for overnight stops when going on long car trips. We stayed at Niki Bird one night because we couldn't get any rooms at Disney hotels for the first 2 nights. I didn't like it. I thought the rooms were very dark and it was very noisy.

This is hotel is right in the middle of major construction on 192.....you can get in and out but traffic can get very congested........Not sure what you got for rate, but shop around, I honestly think you can find a better deal......anything east of Disney allows you to use Osceola Parkway to get into Disney, without any 192 hassel......Nikki Bird is west of Disney...Ted
