I have family in VB and had the same experience. I was with 5 other people, we all went the same places & only I got bit. It turned out to be chigger bites (about 100). They look like mosquito & nocci bites but last forever. My advice is Benydryl and clear nail polish.

VB is Vero Beach, a DVC resort on the Atlantic coast of FL.

What do you do with the clear nail polish? Please don't tell me you put them on the bites?!?!?

Yes you can put it on the bites. Only do so once. It will kill the bugs taht are under the skin. If you have scratched a bite open DO NOT put nail polish on it. It can get infected.

Rubbing a mosquito bite with a fresh slice of yellow onion takes away the itch, but I'm not sure if it will work on any other bites. I was very skeptical (and figured I'd walk around smelling like a Chicago Hot Dog) but tried this remedy last night and it worked. :D

sln88,

You can get more info on Disney's Vero Beach Resort if you go over to the Disney Vacation Club forum on this board. Also at www.Disneyvacationclub.com

Hope this helps!
