I already made a purchase, and it arrived fast and just as expected! Thanks!
How about some of the items that are always recommended to bring; like a hanging shoe bag or a pop up hamper, stuff like that?

AUTOGRAPH BOOKS
I couldn't find anywhere that would supply them to the U.K..
They would have have been an ideal present to the children on telling them of their first proposed Disney holiday.

I think have fanny packs..and one particular item I have seen folks get excited about when I send them a link....
Outward Hound Day Hiking Fanny Pak- bigger than a fanny back, smaller than a back pack, holds 2 water bottles. I know its made by a company that specializes in dog stuff, but it is a fab item for trekking the parks.
Def. items from Walt Disney World (if you are allowed) note books, watches, socks, hats, etc....

An small activity pack of things for kids to do while waiting in lines - each pack geared to different ages of children - Disney themed of course - could include an " I spy book" geared toward different rides in the park, so that when the kids are waiting in line, they could look around them and find the items in the book )this would be great for individual children or siblings to have contests with each other)...... I think this would be a great seller!

I'm new to this site but have enjoyed it alot. I am a travel agent and would love to be able to purchase official Disney photo albums and autographs books online. I have several clients that book year after year w/me for Disney cruises and Disney vacation pkgs. My thank you to them for booking w/me has been a disposable camera or nice Disney picture frame. However, I think the little kids would love an autograph book. My family and I are leaving THIS SATURDAY the 29h WA HOO!! Cannot wait!
Thanks for your time!

Hi there Shopkeeper!
I was thrilled to receive my order in only a couple of days and exactly as ordered. Such friendly service also since you emailed me to make sure I got my items before our trip. Don't get much service like that any more. Thank you!
I would love to see lime green hats or sun visors or sunglasses as they might be more visable over the top of the crowds and be useful as well.
Is there any way that you could offer some sort of "thank you" buttons or whatever that we could hand out to CM's that are especially helpful? Something different and more affordable than those 'other' ones that are out there?
Never know if you do not ask. LOL

I'm a newbie, read the forums for a long time but just recently joined. I would love to see some items at the Dis Store (or any store for that matter!) with Dumbo. Seems like he is the one character alway forgotten at the MK.

Like this???
http://disshop.com/images/products/collectibles/lenox/Dumbo.JPG
His ears are big, his heart is bigger, and he can fly like a bird. He just happens to be an elephant. Walt Disney's Dumbo appears just as you remember him, with pointed hat and ruffled collar, sweet baby face and, of course, those magnificent ears. His good friend Timothy Mouse is dapper in a plumed hat and uniform.
Height: 6 1/2"
Ivory fine china accented in 24 karat gold.

He's Lenox. $136.00

I think pins, jewelry and wedding items would be good. Something to the effect of cake toppers, rings, etc. Maybe that is to much but I am getting married at the Pavilion on September 6th, 2005. It would be cool to get some items for the wedding way before the wedding all with the Disney stamp on it.

I agree with SlightlyGoofy's post.
Hats/Sunvisors are great since they are highly visible in a crowd, but most of all, any pin or some other token that we could give to CM's when they do a fabulous job.
Also make it something affordable (went to the "What Would Walt Do" pin website and they were too expensive - I would only be able to give one out the entire trip)
I think that CM appreciation merchandise would sell like hotcakes!

Just wanted to post a quick thank you for setting this up. I ordered a couple of weeks ago and I found that the site was very easy to navigate, items were of great quality, and the items came very quickly. Thanks for all of your hard work in getting us DISers some great merchandise! ::yes::
I agree with the previous poster who said it would be nice to have some kind of (affordable) CM thank you. If it said something about the DIS that would be nice because I'm sure there are lots of "in the know" CM's who know what that would mean and that if we post on "our" board lots of others will know that they went the extra steps to show us some of the Magic

I am wondering if you'd be having sleeveless tops, speg straps or tank tops for women??? The tee shirts just cover way too much skin away from that warm Florida sun! :sunny: Of course I'd like the DIS logo on it too! :goodvibes White with the lime sounds nice. White goes with everything too. I'd buy 1 of each so I can at least wear them most of the time I'm there. Maybe if you did a poll to see if it'd be worth your while to have them?? You can put me down for 1 of each!!! (at least) :cutie:
Thanks again Dorothy and DIS team!!

I totally agree with this idea.....I don't want to wear my t-shirt in the park on a sunny, hot day....planning to wear it indoors at DQ. I would definately buy a women's tank top (or shirt of the such)....Kim is right!! You should do a poll to see how popular it would be....and lime vs. white (a good summer color to wear outdoors!) I would throw a poll question in there too as far as junior size shirts!! Great idea!!

I think that would work just fine. I would insert the threaded needle right thru the top of the topper and bring it out the bottom and just knot it. Or even use yarn or whatever! You might have to make the hole with something other than a needle. A needle might not be long enough.

MGM had a great store for scrapbooking and stickers. I found stickers for my Christmas gifts - 50 for $3! I bet the shipping costs would kill any good prices we might have for supplies over here.

I think it depends on the deal you can arrange with a carrier. When I ordered things from WDW on return to the UK the postage effectively doubled the price (but with the current $ rate it was still OK). But when I was a Pampered Chef consultant the most I paid for UPS was £10, presumably they have enough business to negotiate a bulk discount (No extra charge for a cute guy to deliver your parcel either   )
When I bought my pens and water pouch from DIS even with postage it was cheaper than just buying the water pouch from a UK mail order firm WITHOUT postage!
Great value, guys!! :cheer2:

Is the DIS Store still in operation?
I placed an order on Friday and it is still pending, when I have ordered before I would get it almost the next day.
Also, I emailed through the customer service email about personalized pins (I lost mine and hoped to buy another, but I think they are just regular DIS pins now, not personalized) and the email got returned to me.
Dorothy, where are you?? ;)

Silver charms. the dangle ones, not the new slide ones. that would be great.

I'm pretty sure the DIS Store closed back in December or November '05.

How about a good quality ball cap with a leather sizing strap not the cheap plastic ones, maybe some good t shirts, mugs, glasses, tote bags, tacky lights for the holidays coming up. Hopefully you will stay away from the generic online store that so many computer groups and websites seem to use. Their merchandise is tacky and bland and all they do is change the logos. I'm looking for caps, t shirts, mugs and lights.
Jim
and of course a nice lime green flag.

I would love to see some DIS things we can use at the parks & resorts.. Tshirts, shorts, beach towels, fanny packs, lanyards with the little thingy to put your FPs in (VERY important, the thingy!!), mini coolers, wallet or change purse, things like that. In lime green,of course!
Oh and it'd be awesome to sell some LGMH for those of us who need a plane to get to Home Depot :(

I still have my DIS lanyard and pen, why wasn't the shop doing enough business to continue to sell these items?
