Ginger:
The family has not grown yet but we certainly have done a lot of paper work. Maybe by the 2005 Halloween cruise.
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the 2005 Halloween cruise thread. I didn't expect one so soon. I can start OVERplanning now. :hyper:
Karen:
Have a safe trip. I will be looking for you at MNSSHP. We may be harder to spot. We will be in Halloween Tees but no costume. DS may have tiger ears and a tail.
Dena:
I am sorry we will not see you at MNSSHP. We are leaving home on the 24th and driving down. We will not arrive until the 25th.
Have some fun for me on the cruise.

Jimbo, you made my day with that fantastic weather report!
Welcome Robin. Glad to see another NJ family joining us.
Hi Cabin 8538. I also have a DS14. Let me know if you DS wants to e-mail before the cruise and I'll send my son's address.
Just over a week -- can't wait.

Hi All:wave:
It's not been a good week here. My new computer crashed and died a few days ago, something with Yahoo connection manager. I didn't have time to fix it, DH actually took care of it :confused3 he called HP and they talked him through it. He started his vacation 2 days ago and doesn't go back till Nov 10. Lucky guy.
This morning has started out just awful, I found my DD Betta laying flat on the bottom of his tank, . Did you hear me crying my eyes out, I think I loved that fish more than she did. We think he was an older fish cause he was very large for a Betta.
Well, I've got to go to work now, just wanted to say Hi! I'll be back later on to catch-up.
I've got 1889 emailing waiting too, we'll be deleting them thou, looks like junk mail.
Morning everyone,
Welcome to everyone that is new.
Ginger: 1889 emails!!! Sorry about DD's Betta. :sad2:
Dena: I'm with you. The excitment is really getting to me!!! I've taken to wearing my Mickey ears all day. When the family came down for breakfast this morning I had them on and they just laughed!!!:earsgirl: I have DS 15, and DS 13 also, so I'm hoping there will be a large group of kids hanging out together.
Jimbo: It's great to see the weather. I looked the other day and all I saw was rain. I didn't get to the day we were there, but I do know that the weather changes quickly in the islands. Good to see it's so warm.:sunny:
Jaypd: That's one reason I didn't get too much candy!!! I just love my sweets!!:earseek:
Cabin8538: I also have a DD that's 11. She has been emailing some kids from the boards. If you see someone wearing lime green outfit and lime green bracelet on the first day it's her. Come up and say hello. She is always looking for new kids to hang out with.
Lynda: Thanks for the web sites. I did do the article on the subs, or shoud I say I gave them to Kyle. Have you thought of a song we can twirl too!!! LOL:crazy:
Well I should hit the gym. Check in later. I'm off today. Next week who knows. the owner is out.

Here I go! My last day at my old job at the Wellness Center. I can't believe I'm turning in my keys! I've spent the better part of the last nine years at that place and 4.5 years as the manager. A part of me is sad because I love all the people there and I'm ver comfortable there. Another part of me is excited to go on to a new challenge.
But more importantly I am going on vacation! I have been planning this for a year! I'm very excited. I think my hubby is getting just as excited. I know my friends that are traveling with us are too! Only 4 more days! I'm ready to relax and have fun!
See you all there. It's been heavy fog and rainy here...we're ready for some warm sunshine.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Three new pics are on page two of the Cruiser Pics on our cruise website, and linked from the Cruiser List as well. Thanks everyone!
<B>faireygod mother</B> - I posted the group photo but have no idea which one is you! Also, you had PM'd me that your stateroom number was incorrect. I added the new stateroom number you sent me, but left the other three staterooms on there also. Is that correct?
<B>Ginger</B> - So sorry about the Betta - and about your new computer crashing. Are you on high-speed? Several of my friends here have had similar problems, including my sister who was trying to set up BellSouth DSL. She gave up and is now waiting for her son (my infamous nephew) to "come fix it." In spite of all the online work I do, I've talked myself into sticking with dial-up for now - just to avoid the problems - set-up, connection drop-offs, security issues, etc. But eventually I know I'll have to give in because I'm sure the day will come when no one even offers dial-up Internet!
<B>vikingfans</B> - I hope to see you at MNSSHP on Thursday. :teeth: My nephew is still "iffy" as to joining me that evening (since we are still going on Sunday). So if he does <I>not</I>, I'm sure to see you at LTT at 5:05!

I was on mouse savers last night and saw a link to make tip envelopes and CM appreciation cards. I am going to merge those two ideas and also make some for the counselors to put phone cards in. If anyone is interested it is the pstools link. They are actually cute and can be made personal from the family.
Good evening
Well, I got 2 kids packed this week. Only 3 of us left. I know I've packed too much. Ds 13's suitcase weighs 35 pds. He does have 2 pr of dress shoes in there though.
Off to make dinner.

One event down 1 more to go! We had TJ's birthday party early, his actual birthday is halloween. Now I am taking a break and then around 7 pm we will have 15 kids at our house for a fun halloween party while all the parents in the neighborhood are up at our friend's house. We have 2 teenagers here to watch the kids and then the really young ones -6 and under have their own teenage babysitters. We did this last year and it worked out well. Our basement is finished so they have a blast shooting pool, watching tv, playing games and I have an craft for them to do. I made some wings, little finger sandwiches, and hot dogs for them to eat, as well as the munchies(chips, salsa, pretzels, carrots, and veggies). We had gotten a cake for TJ's birthday so they can eat the leftover's tonight.
I still need to hem Alan's pants and My neighbor is going to do TJ's since they have an elastic cuff on the bottom. Then I can finish packing. I have almost everything together just the little things need to be packed. At least I don't need to buy anything else( oh forgot about the wal-mart cards!) I'll run out after work on tuesday. I have to work tomorrow and tuesday and then I am done!!! I can't wait to get on the boat and just relax for 7 days.
Have a great weekend and don't stress. We will all make it there on saturday!!!!

Getting ready here also, packing everything tomorrow.
DH has got the truck ready to go. He's started his vacation time already. I've got 3 more days of work, Ashley has 3 days of school till we can leave.
Boy! I am so ready for this time away.
Well we are off to Wal-Mart,last run.

Well, we are finally ready (I think). Finished packing this morning. (hubby has been packed since Friday). It was 75 degrees today so we took a motorcycle ride, probably one of our last. We are thinking there will be snow on the ground by the time we get home. But this is Nebraska...wait 5 minutes it will change.
Had to pack an extra bag...lots of extra stuff to bring along! We can't wait!
Officially on Vacation! It feels so good! We are leaving on Tuesday to head down. Very excited! Safe travel to all! See you there!:hyper: :hyper:

The weekend is over and of course, I didn't get nearly enough done. Well, it will just have to happen sometime between now and Thursday night, but I don't know how. My boss said that he wouldn't be upset if I called out on Tursday due to a "packing emergency". I hate to do it, but it might just come down to that.
Ginger, sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out.
I'm so jealous of everyone who is already packed and ready to leave! Seems like lots of us are starting out early this week - I pray for safe travel for everyone so that we can all see each other next week!
Jennifer
Good Morning Everyone:
I don't know how many are left though!!::yes:: Seems like alot of us are already heading down.
Shari: Have you been able to get any more info on what is happening in St Maarten? I seem to remember them going to be having a festival.
Dena: Have a great time at MNNSHP!! How long does it take you to get over to WDW?
Vikingfans: Good luck traveling!!
Jennifer: I think I might take the boss on that one. I know I would need the day!!
Toni: Safe traveling to you and your family.

Good morning everybody, that's still home!
I think you're right Michelle, sounds like a lot of folks left this weekend or this morning. I feel bad :( I wasn't on this weekend to say bye, but Diane had school work (Univ of Phoenix online) so she had priority. Can't wait for my turn Thursday morning.
Take the day Jennifer, it'll make it easier to finish up anything you need to do without having to stay up late all week or into Friday morning. Start your vacation a day early! :sunny:
Well I better get going too, have a house to straighten up, a daughter to get to school and still 3 things on the to do list. Talk to you guys later.

Hi everyone-
Sorry I haven't been on in a while- I changed jobs and had to take a nursing certification exam so I've been studying quite a bit-
Happy and safe travels to those getting ready to head oot-
Radisson group- still out by the pool ~4:30pm? We'll probably be the ones with a prune for a child : ). This is our first time and Greek food sounds better than McDs.
Ginger- any special hooch you want? And again THANKS FOR EVERYTHING! Ryan's so excited about the cruise!! and his Mom is even more! We lost our Betta "Harry Potter" a few weeks ago. We'll probably get another one when we come back cause I miss he little guy!
Bob- Thanks for making the paddles- I think that will help with add ons but I did pack extra candy just in case.
Judi- We'll definately want one of the CDs. Thanks so much for thinking of that and the pictures.
Jennifer- glad to hear about your amnio. I know it's hard waiting for those results.
Teri- you sure are brave swimming now- I don't want summer to be over yet either but scraping frost off the windshield has a way of making you face up to it. You live in a beautiful city.
Dena- I'm gonna get in the Emily line- She sure is a cute.
Baton twirlers- I'm an old.. I mean ex twirler myself so I'll definately come cheer you on!
I can't wait to meet everyone-
See you soon!

Thanks Michelle and Dena for the Birthday wishes.
I finished packing today and have been busy cleaning house. I have 2 big suitcases of clothes, 1 medium full of Halloween stuff, and 1 xtra large with my pillows, fan, (take it everywhere can't sleep without the noise,) and miscellaneous Items. We also have a carry-on bag with breakable items. We are leaving Thursday and I can't wait. My Husband has been printing out count down notes for the last month complete with various picture's fron the ship, CC and islands. He leaves them next to the coffee pot so I will have something happy to see each morning.
Donna- We are still planning on meeting by the pool around 4:30. I will probably be swimming way before then. WE plan to get to the Radisson by 11:00 a.m. I hope to be in the pool by noon. The temp has dropped here this week, so I have not been in my pool. I think I am done till next Spring. It is getting to cold to get in. At least I can swim all next week on the magic.

Okay you vets of the 7 day. I am now confused. How does this rotation for dinner work. I just printed three different rotations for the san juan cruise in Sept. I do not know if they are the same as ours. How do I know what one I have? I want to make reservations

faireygod mother,
You will receive your Dinner reservations when you board. You will have tickets in your room with your name , table # and dining rotation. You will rotate between ( AP- Animators Palate) Tritons, and Parott Cay. You could start in any of these.
You can only make reservations for Dinner for Palo's.

I want to go now!!! Well at least I got two more days to finish our packing. DH and youngest DS are done, suitcase closed. I have almost all of oldest Ds's clothes ready to go in the suitcase. Just have to find all of the socks that the dryer ate.LOL
My neighbor is hemming a skirt for me and hopefully she will be done today so I can pack it. Going to finish everything but the laptop tonight. Can't pack the computer until tomorrow because I have to get our flight seats in the morning.
I can't wait to get on the boat. Hopefully I will get to meet some of you guys on Saturday at the port. Wish I could be joining you all for drinks by the pool on Friday. But we will be down in Orlando for the night. If anyone needs anything from the store just let me know. I am going to pick up some soda and wine on the way up to the port on Saturday.
Got to go finish doing the cupcakes for TJ's class. He won't be there to be the birthday boy so his teacher is letting us bring the stuff in today. Then I am done, and I can clean my house.
Have a great day!!!
Morning everyone:
I'll be here till Friday late afternoon. Then all hech will break out. The kids have a spirit parade and high school football game complete with fireworks Friday Night. We hope to have the car packed, and ready to go by the time we all get home. Off to the airport EARLY Sat morning. 4:30 am.
Judi: If you could pick me up a bottle of Pinot Gir (sp) I would love it. Something around $10-$12. I'll be glad to find you in line at the port or find your room later. I thought I could find some water at the airport and bring them along.
Does anyone know if the room steward will give me a bottle opener?
Teri: How long will it take you to get to FL?
Ginger: I guess I'll be the last one here.
Donna: I know all you have to do is pick up that baton and it will all come back to you. It's just like riding a bike. A few twirls and the whole routine comes back. I think Lynda and I both brought them.
Dena: Gald you had a good time in WDW. Looking forward to seeing that little one of yours. Also the older ones, I think we have children the same age.
Okay, still looking for the site t get on to find out what is going on in St. Maarten the day we are there. If I remember correctly they are have a festival.

MHB In St Maarten on Tuesday it is "All souls day" and "Carribean Tourism Day"
On 11/11 there is a parade and festival.
Please let me know that I am not the only one out there not packed.

Well, I am still "around" because I am local. :teeth: I'll keep checking the thread until Friday evening, and <I>possibly</I> Saturday morning if I am not running late.
Have not heard anything more about the festivities in St. Maarten. I was thinking there must be something "happening" for "<I>All Souls Day</I>" and "<I>Carribean Tourism Day</I>" - which is the day we will be there - but no further word. Guess we'll find out when we get there!
Did my second MNSSHP of the month on Sunday with my adult nephew as Boba Fett from Star Wars. He was so "real" (voice box and all) that several people asked to be photographed with him, and a couple asked for his autograph. He explained that he was not a Cast Member, but they wanted him to sign their WDW autograph book as Boba Fett anyway. Strange. I guess since it is not a Disney character, it was okay.
I will be at MNSSHP again tomorrow night. Have not decided if I want to go in costume. That jumpsuit for Gadget is really too uncomfortable to dine in at LTT (probably couldn't breathe!), plus it recommends dry cleaning so . . . I don't know.
My already packed "normal" Disney cruise luggage is one checked bag and one carry-on shoulder tote, but the Halloween candy is accumulating (what I bought for the t-or-t plus received at MNSSHP), so I <I>may</I> end up lugging a second carry-on full of candy.
I hope everyone has a good safe trip down here. I still have a rental car reserved for to and from the port, which I did in case another hurricane arrived. But since none are predicted, I will probably go ahead and drive my own car to the port and park there as usual. Since a tornado already passed between the terminals about a week ago, there isn't likely to be another one, right?

Shari,
Were you and your nephew at MNNSHP on Sunday? We saw someone dressed as boba fett and the costume was awesome. My DH and BIL thought he worked for Disney. I was in such awe of the costume I never even looked at who he was with. As a matter of fact, we passed by him 3 or 4 times during the night. Oh well, if it was you I missed you, but I'll see you Sunday.

Ginger, I'm so sorry about the fish, and Erin is sad for Ashley.
Getting to excited. Can't believe we leave in less then 48 hours and on the ship in about 68. We are staying the night before at Port Orleans Riverside.
Everyone be safe and Happy in your travels, see ya onboard.

Dena - Yes, we were there Sunday and he was the only Boba Fett that evening. I was always in front of him somewhere, because he looked better alone. He was fine for the first couple of hours. After that, because he was sweating like crazy, his "armor" started disconnecting from his uniform. I kept having to put him back together, so to say . . . even resorted to using masking tape from a CM at a gift shop, to use on the underside of the armor to help keep it on. But the perspiration won out and the armor kept falling off. Finally we went back to the car for him to change. We came back in the park after that, but he was already exhausted from his "ordeal." He has since resolved the problem and will be "trooping" somewhere with the 501st Stormtrooper Garrison this weekend I think.
As for me, I may be a "bits and pieces" Gadget tomorrow night. I don't know.
Looking forward to meeting everyone on the cruise!

Faireygodmother - You are not the only one still not packed! I ended up taking the extra day off work today, so I'm feeling a little bit less panicked about having time to do everything. I think only one load of laundry is left to do. My husband, bless his heart, ironed all his short-sleeve sport shirts himself last night. Also, need one quick trip to the store for some toiletries, etc...
We had trouble getting Matt to go to sleep night before last - he kept saying "Only 2 more school days and then we go on the Disney Cruise!"
Quick question for repeat cruisers - are there hairdryers in the staterooms, similar to what is provided at a hotel?

Good morning! One more day and then we are off to our flight out of Pittsburgh. We get into Florida around 2pm.
Jennifer- I do believe that they have the hand held hair dryers like the ones in the hotels. Don't get very hot, but if you have short hair then you should be fine. I'm still going to pack mine just in case. Being the only female in the family, I'm the only one using it. The boys have very short hair and their hair doesn't take long to dry. I still have to go to the bank to cash in the loose change for the boys and pick up one small thing. I have everything in the suitcases except for the shirts. Will put those in tonight.
Now I just have to get motivated to clean house today before I go. I have an appointment for my nails and to get a pedicure this afternoon so I need to get the house clean by noon.
See you guys in two days.

Well I guess add me to the still home club,
We leave Friday around lunch and will drive up, about 1o hours.
I finished the most of my packing last night, my DDad wants to load his RV which we are driving down in since there are 8 of us, tonight. So tomorrow its just load ourselves in and go. The kids each have one test in the morning and then we take them out and we are OFF!!!!!:Pinkbounc
Dena- add me to the Emily list. I have baby fever bad, but wake up from it when my DS does something typically boy. LOL:crazy:
We will be at the port at 10:30 see ya'll then.

Good Morning everyone!!
This is it. Today is my last day of work!!! Everyone here is very excited.
Our packing is 95% done. Just put the suits, dress shoes and some small things in the suitcases and we should be done. Pack up the day bags and off to see the mouse.
Dena and Shari: What is the weather going to be like on Sat? I think I would like to change at the airport into shorts, just want to make sure it will be warm enough.
Shari: hope you have a good time at WDW. How did your nephew enjoy the evening? With all the rearranging, how did you enjoy it?
Jennifer: If I give your DH my shirts, will he do mine too. LOL:hyper: I hate to iron!!!::yes::
Judi: Are you talking about Pittsburgh Pa. We have to stop there on the way home. It was the only way I could get low rates for the 5 of us for flights.
Well, back to work today. I will check in tomorrow!!

My nephew LOVED all the stares and attention he got. He said that couple of hours of that made up for the later problems with the costume, so he was very HAPPY. It didn't matter much to me. I did MNSSHP with my mom on the 17th. We took it slow and easy but stayed until closing. Tonight I will be solo and going at my own (faster) pace, but hitting <I>everything</I>. Since I knew that when I was with my nephew, his costume problems disrupting the evening didn't bug me too much. Some people may look at someone solo and think "poor thing," but sometimes it's great because you can do everything you want when you want. I had my time with "family." Now it's time to party! ;)
And I am SERIOUSLY looking forward to being on the ship, sitting alone on my verandah, watching the scenery and writing in my journal. ::MinnieMo

Michelle: I just checked on the weather for sat and it is supposed to be mostly sunny with a high of 84.:sunny: Not too bad!!

I am so glad to see it is not just me. It is true the misery likes company. For the second night in a row I have had company in my bed, my granddaughter. I was up working in the wee hours again last night and she got up. She just chatters and chatters. She is so excited she cannot sleep through the night.
I finished making the last costume last night and decided if it was not made by now I was not going to make it. I have been sewing almost everynight for two months.
DH will not get into town until late this evening and has not tried on his tux. DS-S tux had to be altered yesterday when we picked it up. I figure I will be sewing on the ship if DH's does not fit as it will be difficult for Men's warehouse to overnight anything to us.
I got another cold yesterday, probably from very little sleep. I told my neice's fiance to treat me like a pig on a spit. Just keep turning me over in the sun and baste me. I have been waiting a year and am not going to let this get me down. I do not care if I cant breath, I am gong to have fun. I have heard that alcohol kills germs, so I think I will start drinking when I get on board. We can call that the marinate.
Well I have a few more patients to see and chart on so I can leave today. Today is not the day to be a therapist and try to help people with their problems, because today and for the next week it is all about ME! HA HA Just kidding. I have to pack and still get the dog to the doggie hotel (that is what I told my granddaughter it was called), get to the shoe repair store, because I forgot yesterday. Do you think my DH would mind wearing sneakers to dinner with his dress clothes. Probably! Thought I would also clean and maybe pay some bills. Depends on my mood and if they call and bug me. Made sure my Disney Visa was free to charge on, now you can tell my priorities are straight!
Thanks again for all the info. Look forward to meeting some of you. I do not remember what High Tea you are going to?
We fly out early tomorrow and are going to surprise my 8yo GD by taking her to Cirque Du Soleil. WOW I am getting excited. I need to shut up now and let you all have some peace of mind.
Safe trip to all,

Dee- Make tea reservations under the "Dis" group for Monday 3:30-4:30.
Jennifer- the dryers are connected to the bathroom and it is a hand held hose type dryer. Not very powerful but gets hot. the hose reminds me of a vaccum type hose.
Well I am OFF!!! I will see some of you at the Radisson Friday at 4:30 around the pool. I will see the rest of you on the ship. Have a safe trip!!!

Wow!!!
It's going to be lonely tomorrow.
Dena and Shari: I guess it's just us!!!
I go for a pedicure tomorrow morning, I'm going to see if they can put the Disney Logo on my toes!!! How does that sound!!
Dee: Sounds as if your a great seamstress!! What are you costumes anyway? You"ll love Cirque Du Soleil, we saw it in FL and then again in Phila this past summer.
I am really looking forward to no one being able to get ahold of my DH. He really needs this vacation.
Off to make dinner. I'll be back tomorrow.

Hi to those few who are left! :hyper:
I went to MNSSHP again last night and had a wonderful time hanging out with VikingFans (Chris & Laura) and their niece. Space Mountain was especially a blast! :teeth:
I didn't wear my <I>Gadget</I> outfit. That jumpsuit I ordered, although short-sleeved, is WAY too warm for me because I am always "running hot" - has to be in the sixties before I stop perspiring, LOL. So I am not sure now about even dressing for Halloween on the ship (can always wear black and orange though). Maybe I'll plop the goggles and altered Stitch ears on top of my head, heh-heh, and no one will know who/what I am!
Dinner at LTT was fantastic because I had another friendly "close encounter" with <I>Chip 'n' Dale</I> - especially <I>Dale</I>, who did his modified gymnastics right there in the restaurant for me, plus we had a big cuddly hug - with VikingFans watching!
In spite of being packed, I have <I>lots</I> to do today. I should not even be at the computer, but you know how that is.
Soon begins a week of fun, relaxation, and endless FOOD! Whoa! Are we having fun yet?

Hi Taswari,
I know I shouldn't be at the computer either, but I just can't help myself. Plus I hate packing, so checking to for post is an excuse to put it off a little longer. Please, please, please wear you Gadget outfit, if only for a little while. I was looking forward to seeing it.
Lynne

10-29-2004, 10:47 AM
My <I>Gadget</I> outfit is not that great - those altered Stitch ears for the ears, cheap purple swim goggles (could not find the right color and "separate eyes" here otherwise) - the only costly thing was the jumpsuit, which is actually an EMS flightsuit I ordered from California. And although it fits, it won't if I <I>eat</I>! I will bring it just in case though. At the very least, I may have it on when I answer the door for the t-or-t.
I also may or may not have a tail. I have two and am not happy with either. One is too thick, the other too short. I guess I could just have a cord tail.
The other thing is that very few people (only <I>Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers</I> fans) even know who <I>Gadget</I> is, and I am a middle-aged version! So I guess the majority of passengers would look at me and ask, "<I>What is she supposed to be?</I>" The "real" me IS a middle-aged <I>Gadget</I>!
Oh, and it is "<I>Taswira</I>" with an "a" at the end. It is Swahili for "image" or "images." ;)

We did have a negative aspect to our vacation. We had to cut our vacation short. Unfortunately, DHs brother passed away while we were at WDW. I am sorry that you did not get to meet him. I think we had almost convinced him to take his daughter on a Disney cruise in the future. :(

I can really see why everyone books onboard. I would love to do this again, but our quote was over $6,000. I guess I have my homework cut out for me to find it a little less expensive.

Hello All:
I've learned so much from the disboards but this is my first post. We've just returned from the 10/30/04 Magic Cruise and had a wonderful time!!! When we returned to the cruise terminal on Saturday morning, one of our suitcases was missing from the designated luggage area. We looked all over but no luck. We've filed a report with DCL and hope to get it back but just in case anyone out there accidently picked up a black rolling garmet bag, please let me know. It's a very common piece of luggage so it could have easily been mistaken. We were staying on level 6 and it had the DCL Donald Duck blue tag.
Thanks so much!!!

Just want to tell everyone who shared this year's Halloween Magic experience what a pleasure it was to meet you. I enjoyed High Tea and Palo Brunch with Ginger and friends, and got a kick out of the kids in costume for the stateroom trick-or-treat. :hyper:
Special thanks to VikingFans (Chris & Laura) and their pals Marsha & Vance for being so wonderful and ENTERTAINING. I could not have asked for better tablemates! :teeth: (And Laura - PLEASE DO send me those pics with my chipmunk buddy from LTT - THANKS!)
Life has been so busy for me lately that I used this cruise as a bit of an escape to wind down. Instead of enjoying the nightlife of the clubs, I spent most evenings relaxing on my verandah, writing in my journal, and watching LOTS of movies in the onboard theaters plus a few on the stateroom TV. I watched the stage shows in the Walt Disney Theatre, spent some time on the islands, but mostly just enjoyed the ship and her crew.
It was lovely. I hope to meet many of you again at WDW or perhaps on another DCL cruise. :earsgirl:

Hi everyone!
We had a great time too and it was so nice to meet you all in person! The Halloween trick or treating was so great; thanks again, Ginger, for all the work you and your DH did! It went so smoothly thanks to all your hard work and everyone had a ball! Bob, the paddles were a great idea and worked so well. Judi, thanks too for the taking the photos and creating the cds!
And Teri, thanks for the candle! That was so sweet of you!
I have to admit that I was teary eyed getting off the ship! I feel so blue now knowing that it's over! The mountain of laundry didn't help either! I'm already trying to figure out how to afford another cruise in the not too distant future!
Michelle, we never did get those batons out so that's a good excuse for going on another cruise together! Thanks for arranging the St. Thomas tour; we really enjoyed that!
I went to see my mom the day after we returned home and I kept telling her about all the nice DIS people we had met. It really was so nice to meet all of you in person!
Well, back to doing laundry! Take care, everyone!
Hello everyone. We are back home in England at last. We spent 2 days at the Boardwalk after the cruise and flew back on Monday. It is raining and cold here and the cruise almost seems like a dream already.
It was great to meet so many people from the boards and we had a fantastic time. We are already booked on the August repositioning cruise and while on board we booked for August 2006. So at least we have something to look forward to.
Ginger, I didn't get chance to say goodbye but we are all looking forward to seeing you again next August.
Dena, thanks so much for being our table mates. We are missing you all very much - get that 2006 cruise booked, my girl!
I must go as my body doesn't have a clue what day, year, time or country it is. Catch up soon.

Yep, we're home, fortunately without delay this year! It was nice going back to the Boardwalk for a few days, lessened the blow of leaving the ship a little (but I still felt like throwing things at every disney cruise line bus I saw).
I had a really great time and could just sit in a corner and cry about it being over but at least I know I'm going back, and next time it's for 14 days!
Dena - It was really nice sharing a table with you all and I really enjoyed spending time with Ashley. I'll email her later on today.
Well I suppose I ought to get on with some work that I should have done whilst on board (yeah like that was ever going to happen) and try and figure out a cure for post cruise depression (or in some cases, post Libor depression...)

Well, we're back too. We spent three days at Boardwalk Villas, so we got home yesterday afternoon. As far as we are all concerned, it was a perfect trip. There were some (good) surprises, such as how well behaved the kids were at dinner. It was the highlight of our day, and none of us expected that. Maybe we need to get Boris and Horia to come stay with us!
T-or-T was a lot of fun for the kids. I was really impressed at what great treats some of you were giving out. It put us to shame, that's for sure. We chose quantity over quality, but a lot of you had both.
I didn't get to meet any of your (or maybe I did but didn't know it). I did recognize Lynda on deck one evening, at a table near the Goofy pool. But you were sleeping so peacefully I didn't have the heart to disturb you. :)
We took the Doubloon snorkel trip in St. Thomas, and that was really a lot of fun. Were any of you folks there, too? If so, pictures from the trip are at:

Hey Jimbo, yes, that WAS me sleeping by the Goofy pool! My DD wanted to go swimming after we watched Disney Dreams and I didn't have the heart to say no. But I was sooo tired so I kept nodding off in the chair! That's what happens when you combine sea air and good food! Then when we got back to the cabin, my DS said he wanted to go to the 12:01 premiere of The Incredibles!!!! I had to say no to that request! We did go to see the movie the next day at 10:45 pm and boy, was I tired for the 6am immigration call the next day!
By the way, Jimbo, it was so nice to meet your grandkids on the TorTing! We had a great time going to all the staterooms. My DH was calling out the staterooms and had a hard time keeping up with the kids!
I've stopped rocking but I'm still pining for the ship! Oh well, back to reality and winter coats!

We also have been back for several days. I am still working on our trip report. Son Josh complained of a sore throat on Sunday so Debbie took him in on Monday and sure enough he had strep, did not make it back to school until thursday. It has been seven days now and my head is still swimming a little. While I normally am affected by the motion, and therefore wear a patch, I have never been this affected for so long after the cruise. I know many thought this was a rough cruise (motion) but Debbie and I both agreed that of the three Disney cruises we have been on this one had the least motion/best seas. It was great to meet so many of the you. Wish we could have had a chance to talk more with everyone. We had a wonderful trip to St. John with "Ginger" and her family and another family from, you guessed it, New Jersey. Ginger, thanks again for planning the TorT event, it was very fun. Also, please let your husband know that "good for him" has become my new catch phrase. It was very nice to meet Karen & Mark "KEH" (hope we did not talk your ears off at tea) and the Vasquez family "mdvasquez". Whenever we see Boo we will think of Emily, what a perfect costume. Last but for sure not least it was great to meet Teri & Rick "Tluvs2talk". What a fun couple. Both Debbie & I mentioned we wished you had joined the group for brunch, we would have liked to talk more with both of you. Back to working on the trip report.

Hi Bob & Debbie,
I would have loved to have joined all of you for brunch but the guy taking the reservation told me I could only sign up for one. I had already been to brunch Monday. Ginger told me later that since I would have been with a group I could have still come. I was soooo bummed!!!!Brunch is my favorite. Rick went with me Monday . even though he just sat and watched me eat. It would have been great to be with other people who ate normal food. (Haha). I have also been sick since I got home. sore throat, low grade fever, congestion, cough, (you know flu like symptoms). I am so glad I didn't get sick until I got home. Rick and I really enjoyed talking with the 2 of you.
Ginger- Where are you????
Teri
I'm still a little rocky, but it seems to be stopping.
A big thank you to Ginger and her DH for all the hard work. Whenever I talk about the cruise I get really sad. I understand why people take them all the time. It was so much fun. My DD Rachel turned to me on Thursday and said "Mommy, this is the best vacation we ever had." Just brought tears to me eyes. I was so happy to be able to give this to them. My Ds 15, loved meeting everyone and Ds 13 enjoyed everything. I really think he liked being on his own so much. I had to cut a few more apron strings, but I guess it was worth it.
I will miss talking to everyone. I feel like we have become friends and I already miss talking with you and hearing of your day. I guess this thread will die down soon.
I don't think we will be going on another DCL cruise in the near future. DS 15 is already looking at colleges and I know it will be here before I know it. Maybe the year he goes away. LOL
Hope to keep in touch with most of you.

My DH and I are in row 8 right next to your 10yr old GD, In row 9 just before your 2 pictures (GD, and D+SIL) is one of my 11 year old, and 4 to the left of her is my 7 year old. We ended up buying a hat, t-shirt and a long-sleeve T.
All,
Thank you to Ginger and her DH for the great Trick or treat, the kids are still enjoying all their loot. Thank you Judi for taking the time to make the great photo CDs, I loved the label.
We got home Monday eve/Tuesday morn. really, after a 2 night stay at POR. Since then I have had a really bad head/chest cold, that is just starting to calm down. Haven't even come online until now. We had a great time, with the exception on youngest DD not doing well with late dinner. We booked the NJ week 2006 regular Western while onboard. Got Main seating, and upgraded to a Cat 9. Considered booking 2 cabins, would have only been about $800 more after the extra $200 credit, but decided we could make do with one again. The 9 should have a little extra storage, and hopefully I will learn not to pack so very much. My original plan was to pack a little over half and then have it cleaned onboard, well then I got shopping and it didn't work out that way. Have to just keep going until we get it right.
This was the first time seeing Golden Mickey's and I loved it. Would have loved to see it twice. We didn't get to do to much of the late night stuff, I did bring my DD-11 to the Pirates OC party, and they did a great job there, I liked the form, kind of like a show party. Played Bingo a couple of times, DD-7 loved it, all she wanted was to be a few numbers away when someone won, and she was happy. should have done an excursion on ST Maarten. Wasn't to fond of the hard sell, territory rules, etc there. I should have just had the girls hair braided before we left but we didn't have time, and I didn't want to take the time on the ship. I was kind of surprised at how bad CC looked from a distance. Very brown, and flat. When you were on the island, at least on the family beach it was beautiful. A truely Excellent day.
Enough for now. Hope all of you are having fun planning your next vacation, whatever, and whenever it may be.

Hi all It stinks to be home. I am sorry to hear many of you got sick after the cruise. I too have flu like symptoms. I guess sometimes no matter how much you wash your hands you are going to catch something. I actually think I caught something on the planeride home. The people behind me were coughing quite a bit. I have a sore throat, cough, heaache and chills. Thank God we were all healthy for the cruise.
Just want to Thank everyone for all the wonderful treats, thanks to Ginger for arrranging it all. Bob or the paddles, Judy for the CD and Lynda and her dh for being wonderful group leader. My daughter said "group 5 rocks".
Thanks again for making a great vacation even better. It was wonderful meeting those of you I met and I am sorry for those I missed.

Hey Toni, I just got our photos back today from the cruise and I was looking at the picture of the kids in our TorTing group and got all choked up! It was such a fun activity and I really enjoyed meeting all the kids in Group 5 (!) and doing the TorTing with them! And James seemed to have the best TorTing since he got to ride the whole way and still got all the treats! It was great meeting you too and we loved being the group leaders! I had to laugh at my DH as he was having a hard time keeping up with kids and couldn't call out those stateroom numbers fast enough!
Hope everyone's feeling better! Boy, I guess we were lucky not to get sick (touch wood). At least everyone was healthy for the cruise!
I so envy those of you who booked another cruise! Hope you have a wonderful time! I'm not sure when our next cruise is but the kids have told me they definitely want to return! I asked them if they wanted to try another cruise line with the rock climbing, ice rink, etc. but nope, they want DCL!

I'm still here! Hope you're feeling better now, Teri! Thanks again for the candle! I have the cranberry one and it smells so nice. It was so sweet of you to bring something for all of us!
Weather is very nice up here; it's not too cold and sunny. It was colder last week and I kept thinking about lying on the beach at Castaway Cay while donning my winter coat and gloves! At least we don't have the boots out yet (touch wood; don't want to tempt fate! They did receive a lot of snow in Nova Scotia on the weekend (60 cms, so around 2 ft) and while that's almost as far as Florida from us, I don't want to anger the snow gods and have them come here!).
Have a great day!

It's dull, dark and drizzly here but things could be worse, at least I know I'm getting back on the Magic in the forseeable future. I can't believe I've only been back a week, it seems like so much longer. I think I've caught up with college work quite well and I'm actually quite enjoying it. I'd still rather be cruising though!
Hope everyone's well!
Hey, just thought I'd stop in. Glad to see some of you are still here.
Emma: I have a great picture of you and mum, if you send me you email, I'll get it to you.
Teri: I sent you an email with a picture from the first day. Hope you like it.
Lynda: Well, you were the hardest took me all day but I think it got to you. 3 emails later!!!LOL:hyper:
I have a great picture from Castaway, the sign that says Frances, Jeanne was here.
Oh, well, I have to get online and order for the holidays. Funny story, I ordered a Donald jacket and blanket for my mom from Disney Direct and it came the other day. Well, the kids were like Disney, what did they send to us!!! Had to tell them it wasn't for them. Oh well, I'm so sad.

Hey Michelle, I did get the photos and sent you an email. Thanks so much; they're great!!! That's funny about the jacket and blanket for your mom! Now the next step is to take your mom on a Disney Cruise!
Emma, I never had a chance to see your photos from China! Sorry about that! If you've posted a trip report somewhere, let me know as I'd love to hear more about your trip! Glad (and envious!) to hear you're going on the Magic again and that you're enjoying college! I know, it does seem like forever since our trip!

Hi All:wave:
We had a wonderful cruise and I sure do miss all my cruising buddies.
Bob, Debbie and family, Dawn and family, thank you all for sharing St. John with us we really enjoyed our day with you.
Hi! Teri and Rick, Teri I hope your feeling better. I enjoyed our chats, sure wish we lived closer to each other.
I woke up the last morning on the ship with a sore thoat which turned into a nasty old head cold but feeling better now.
We went to Old Key West for 2 days after the cruise. I just wasn't ready to say good-bye to the warm temps of sunny Florida. We ran around in the parks for those 2 days, had a great time.
Oh! we didn't do the Air Boat ride, instead we opted for a helicopter ride over a small part of Disney properties.
Our ride home was long and uneventful, thank goodness.
We got in Tuesday morning about 3:30 a.m..
Bill had to return to work on Wednesday and Ashley had school. I was scheduled to go back on call Wednesday morning but my phone started ringing early Tuesday afternoon. and hasn't stopped. I'm still tring to unpack.
Bob and Debbie so sorry for the "good for him". I did have a talk with him about, don't think it's going to do any good thou.
I've got to work tomorrow, gotta pay for next years cruise with Karen, Emma and family. We are really looking forward to it.
:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Talk to you all later.

Thanks for posting your photos, Emma! They're terrific! I especially liked the ones of the mountains, the Great Wall of China, the Chinese kids and all the snacks! And the ones of your friends are great too; you all look like you had such a good time! A lot of the pictures remind me of a visit I took to Japan years ago. The temples and landscaping are so beautiful in both countries.
Thanks again for letting us see the pics and sorry you lgged them all the way on the cruise and so few of us saw them! But it looks like the trip of a lifetime!
Thanks again! Lynda

Vikingsfan,
I have a picture of the Castaway Cay hurricane sign, however my hubby is standing to the side. I would be more than happy to send you it by e-mail if you would like. You can e-mail me at Tluvs2talk@aol.com.
Teri
WOW!!! It's been a while since I've been on and look what has happened. I might have to book another cruise so I can stay on.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did. I'm having a Christmas Breakfast for my friends on Friday. I wish you guys could come and share all the pictures. I have a picture from Castaway with noone in it if anyone wants it.
We are booking Disney on vacation points for next Nov. Jersey week. Our home resort is the Boardwalk. I really think it might be the last vacation for DS 15. I guess we will be looking at colleges the following year.
Been Xmas shopping online so I thought I'd jump on and say Hello to all on you. I miss talking with you.
I'll stop in soon.

We're all fine here! My mum's away in London over night at a meeting today so she'll probably post when she gets home. Things are starting to get really christmassy now. I mean, they were before but Christmas in November seemed a bit ridiculous. Now I don't mind it because it's December! So happy advent calender day everyone.
I'd better go, I have an absolute mountain of work to do for tomorrow which seems to have built up somehow even though I did loads as and when I got it...
Hey guys,
How is everyone out there? Miss chatting with you.
Quick note, about 2 weeks ago one of our friends that was on the cruise with us found a little kitten, well you guessed it we took it. Willow was only 4-5 weeks old and has been keeping all of us very busy.
How are the holidays shaping up for everyone?
Better go, Willow is calling,

Hi everyone!
Just popping in to say hi too! We had our first real snowstorm today! Even had to go out and shovel the snow! The kids were thrilled but the parents were grumbling about the slow and slippery roads! It's a far cry from those tropical climates we experienced on the cruise!
The snow definitely makes it more Christmassy! I agree with you, Emma, that you have to wait until December for Christmas to really start kicking in! We've put up quite a few decorations but I still have to write those Christmas cards!

Michelle-how cute! We love cats, we have 4 of our own but you can't beat a little kitten, especially not one you've rescued. You will have to get some photos up for us to see.
We've not got our decorations up yet but lots of people on our estate have. It's really nice to come home and walk past the houses with trees in the window, though I'm not sure about walking home in the dark!
I've got my first christmas concert with choir tonight, it ought to be nice but it could well go on for a long time! Just before I go, does anyone know what this smilie is supposed to be? :teleport: it's just caught my eye and I haven't the faintest clue what it's doing.

Hey everyone, just stopped in to say hello. I miss everyone too!! :guilty:
We are busy trying to get ready for the holidays. We have the tree up and the inside of the house decorated, but have not done the outside lights yet. Most of my shopping is done and wrapped as well. Just a few more people to go! :D
Emily is trying to stand on her own now. And four of her top teeth are getting ready to break through. princess:
Emma: I emailed you guys and tried to send some pictures, but the letter was returned. I think I may have added too many pictures. So I'll have to remove some and resend it.
Have a great afternoon everyone.

Emma, the smilie is a happy face that moves from side to side; it's very cute! Have fun at the concert tonight! It must be a very joyous experience singing all those Christmas songs!
Dena, hard to believe that Emily is trying to stand up already! It just seems like yesterday that she was born! This will be such a special Christmas for you since it is Emily's first!
Take care, everyone! Lynda
