I have to take potassium and magniesum supplements. I had really bad leg cramps in the beginning. Now I just take a multi B vitamin. I have to take it at night, because it screws up the results on the ketostick during the day.

I'm taking Calcuim, but am thinking about switching to Tums to be able to swallow it easier.

Did your doctor perscribe the supplements?

Besides trying to eat all my daily carbs in vegetables/salads and drinking a lot of water.
I take a GNC mega-vitamin, a generic mega-B-complex vitamin, and Chromium piconate.
I've thought of buying the l-carnitine, but it is really expensive.
The Adkin's website has suggestions of what to take.
God bless you, best wishes, and encouragement, RaySharpton:)

I just take an inexpensive multiple vitamin, calcium (darn that osteoporosis stuff), fish oil capsules and L-Carnitine. It is expensive but I think I lose slightly quicker when I take it.

I placed a bid on Ebay for a three pack including Basic 3,Essential Oil,and Dieters Advantage. Don't know if I will get or not. As of right now there is about 20 minutes left.

I take a multi-vitamin (just one that I get from Wal-mart, but I may switch to an iron free one when I need to "refill",) vitamin C, vitamin E, and Co-Enzyme Q-10, I used to use Tums for Calcium, but I figured that they were full of sugar. So I haven't taken any calcium recently. I have calcium citrate and selenium sitting here, but I will add it one at a time later. I am so afraid of what might stop ketosis.
I would like to add the chromium and something that Dr Atkins recommends as a diuretic to replace the diuretic that I WAS taking for high BP. My doc took me off of it when I told her that I was doing Atkins.

I take just a store brand multivitamin and extra vitamin E. I used to drink a lot of orange juice, so when cold season hits I'll have to add extra vitamin C. I haven't changed my vitamin regimen since starting Atkins.

I take a calcium, magnesium, potassium supplement.
I read that you should take a good multi vitamin without iron while on Atkins. Is anyone taking these? Tell me what brand. Why not the iron on Atkins?

This is funny--
I read this post yesterday, and have often wondered the same question (I take NOTHING), but have always forgotten to ask. Anyway, I noticed that several people mentioned L-Carnitine, which sounded vaguely familiar. Neither my DH or myself take any meds, but we have a darling cat who has had more problems in his life than I can even report. So, I went into his medicine stash, and sure enough, there was the L-Carnitine!!!! I had only given him one out of the 25 or 30 tablets in the jar (just too hard to administer--so big!) so voila...I have my L-Carnitine. I took my first pill tonight, hopefully I will see some results.
BTW, my cat's name is Lucky;)
