Staying at HRH this Easter and info would be appreciated :-
Is FOTL limited to certain rides ?. Is it like Fastpass ?. Can you only use it as certain number of times ?.
Many thanks

Just got back from Portofino. FOTL works for almost every ride -- they'll let you know the 2 or 3 rides that it doesn't apply to (One Fish Two Fish comes to mind). It's better than fastpass -- you show up whenever you choose, show your room key and you're in! my kids tried to ride woody woodpecker twice in a row, and were told it works only once per ride -- though I guess if you came back to a ride later in the day, you could use it again.

Actually, starting Sunday the 25th, both Portofino and Hard Rock WILL be accepted at One Fish Two Fish! (Universal Express debuts in all of Seuss Landing this Sunday).
The only rides that will still not be available for FOTL for on-site guests will be:
1) Fieval water slide
2) Woody Woodpecker's Coaster
3) Pteranadon Flyers
Everything else will have Express by March 1st at the latest - and will offer FOTL access for on-site hotel guests.

Actually on the Fieval water slide if you can manage your way up the stairs an incompitent employee has been known to accept the FOTL every so often.

I'm so "way confused" about all this. So FOTL access for resort guest allows my family to go to the front of most rides once a day, right? That's very cool--I thought that it was only for a few rides.
How does early entry work? I assume that we can go to the rides that are open as many times as we want in that first hour. How busy is early entry usually in mid August?
Onsite guests can use express just like the general public? And express is similar to fastpass except a person can choose a time and hold 3 express passes at a time?
There is a lot to learn. I feel that I've just figured out the WDW fastpass system and now I get to figure this out.

I wish WDW would give 3 Fastpasses at a time. It gets tricky to plan your strategy when the fastpass times get later.?

Early entry lets you into the parks at 8 am on select days. Multiday passholders get 3 passes at a time. One-day ticket holders get 1 pass at a time. As for planning your day, you might want to plan your mornings when the park isn't as busy and then be flexible later in the day.
