I am organizing my mother and father's family pictures to include in my heritage albums. As I do this, I usually play around with some layout ideas, but where I am having a problem is what should I put on my first page? The very first page when you open the album. I don't know what to say....as I said it will be both my mom and dad's sides. Thanks for all the help.
Sorry this isn't Disney related...but a few members are a bit goofy so I could put Goofy stickers in it ;)

I would put a family tree. Or Family Chart. My mom is doing this and is doing one for her side of the family and one for my dads.
Creative Memories sells family tree pages in white, and family charts in black and natural.

I have made several of these for people and done a few things. The Creative Memories Family tree is beautiful like cheio said and I have done that too. Or you could use one of your wedding pictures with the caption..."and two shall become one" or do your baby picture and your husband baby picture and write the story of The Smith's and The Jones' Or do a Family picture of you and your kids with a pretty matte and highligted with a few stickers and write The Jone's Family EST. 1997
Be sure to have your parents journal a little in it so you will always have a record of their handwriting.

something as simple as a family tree ---- I never gave that a thought. Never thought about using my wedding picture either. Didn't think about working backwards instead of from them up to me. Great ideas.......Thanks again.
