I am sure you have preferences but which ship would you recommend these days for 1 adult and 2 9 years old. Did the Big Red Boat years ago. Also just to try it a 3 or 4 day cruise and the best place to make the reservations, travel agent, through this site or others.

Thanks,

Wonder for the four day. Dreams Unlimited is the best for Disney Cruises.

I did the Big Red Boat also years ago. I absolutely agree - Wonder for 4 day/nt. I always call DCL myself & make all of the arrangements - so I know every possible cheaper fare was exhausted & then transfer it to AAA eventually for their discounts/perks.
This trip I was able to get a cheaper fare than AAA - long story - has to do with category, people in room, cabin locations. But AAA was able to get us a much cheaper fare @ Universal than I could get.
I'm a control freak - like to know what's going on w/my reserv. & have the ability to alter things myself, if needed, without going thru someone else - until the very last minute when we have to pay the full fare.
You & the kids will absolutely LOVE the Wonder!

How do you do this? What additional perks and discounts do you get from AAA for DCL?

Last time I just called DCL and did it myself since I didn't know any better but this time I used Dreams Unlimited and got a cheaper fare....AAA fare was the same as DCL except you get soda mugs as a perk which I could care less about...DU we got a 150.00 rebate with this time.

Call AAA Travel and let them know you have an existing reservation with DCL and would like to transfer it to them. Find out what's in it for you before doing so. Get a contact person's name and number. Then call DCL and tell them that you'd like to transfer your reservation to this agent.

It's fairly painless, but when I did this to transfer to Costco, a DCL reservations supervisor got on the phone and tried to talk me out of it, which I wasn't too happy with. Stick to your guns and there's nothing they can really do about it.

Thanks - we already have a cruise arranged with our travel agent of choice, Tim Larison. I am always interested on what the best deals people are getting, though.
