Do you think Disney will have a Jack Sparrow character in the parks? Do you think many people will be interested?
Since the dads seem to enjoy taking the little ones to get Ariel's
autograph;) , do you think the moms will enjoy waiting in line to get a picture and autograph from Jack Sparrow?

I can say that I enjoyed meeting Alladin and was disappointed that I didn't get to see Tarzan!
Capt. Jack looks yummy and I haven't seen that movie yet. Can't wait to see it.

What's the old coke comercial? Ain't nothing like the real thing! I'd stand in a line for a pic with a look alike, but I'd wait all day for a pic with the real thing!!! :smooth:

If the character of Jack Sparrow was played by Johnny Depp, I'll wait all day.
Pammypooh, I saw Tarzan last summer. His thighs are HUGE!:smooth:

I think it would be fairly easy to get a look alike - with all the hair, costume and all. I'd love to see this - perhaps in adventure land with scheduled "sword fight sceens, etc..." and then an autograph session.

I think he would be a great character to interact with guests. Can't you just see some unsuspecting woman standing there, feeling a tap on the shoulder, turning around and seeing Capt. Jack? He could challenge guys to a duel, and involve children in farfetched plots for treasure. He'd be that kind of free spirit, a la Peter Pan, that livens things up a bit.

This whole thing kind of surprises me. I really did enjoy the movie, and thought Mr. Depp did an excellent job in his role as "Keith Richards the pirate". My wife is not typically a big Johnny Depp fan - in fact she said "Is that the guy from Edward Scissorhands?", but something about him in that role she really liked. I thought he was made up to look purposely bad - do women really think that was a good look?? I would have thought Orlando would have been the one. Oh well, women never cease to confuse me.
Maybe they could make a truly "family" character meal. Peter Pan, Capt. Hook, Tink, etc. for the kids, and Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth (gets my vote), Will, and some others for the adults - all held at El Pirata y el Perico.

Yes, I think they need to add Jack to their character collection.
I may be going out on a limb here, but I think POTC's major cast members were the best looking bunch ever in a Disney (or maybe any) movie. Depp, Bloom and Knightley - quite the trio.:D

I think it would be a great idea to have "Captain" (can't forget the captain) Jack Sparrow & Elizabeth as characters near Pirates of the Caribbean.
Great idea - I hope Disney does it!!

I thought he was made up to look purposely bad - do women really think that was a good look?? Well, it seemed to work for Tim Curry....
How about this: the Jungle Cruise needs some updating - let's put Capt. Jack Sparrow at the wheel! I love to hear his take on the backside of water! :p

I was never much of a Johnny Depp fan either, but there was something about him in that pirate movie... Maybe it was his swagger. We need a swooning smilie!

Why was Johnny Depp's character so unattractively attractive you ask? It's the dangerous type. We women go for that. DH has always had that look - but deep down, he's a teddy bear.:D

Okay, I am also not a real Johnny Depp fan, but I do think he did a great job in this film. Now, hot or even good looking, I don't think so.
But I will completely agree with Spartan, Orlando Bloom, I will take any day. Will Turner was not Legolas, but he was still really nice to look at!

Does anyone know what renovations are being done to the Pirates ride at Disneyland?

It's the incrediable sense of humor, eyeliner, and hair and - in the movie he is funny and , even as a "bad guy", definately non-threatening. - probably wouldn't care for Johnny Depp the real person.... just my two cents.
Did you notice that even when he was being strung up he wasn't hateful or full of revenge? Funny and good natured yet clever goes a LONG way.

I'm still partial to the idea of getting a boat like the Black Pearl, sailling around Europe, with Johnny Depp (And family somewhere O.o) hired to be Jack Sparrow constantly. :) Then you can charge people to ride on the boat and make lots (I hate typos) of money. *grins*

I'd like to see a Jack and Will lookalike duo haveing a swordfight in Adventureland outside of the Pirates attraction. I CERTAINLY would wait in line!
Man, they were both yummy in that movie! ;)
