I know some people who have had luck with the brands that have ephedra in them. However, the safety of these suppressants is always up for debate. I have tried them myself and found that they did help with appetitie, but they gave me a headache which scared me, so I quit taking them. You could give them a try and see how they affect you.
The most well known brand is Metabolife, but I tried a knock-off brand from Wal-Mart called Metab-O-Lite. Good luck, but be careful! Just be sure and not drink a lot of caffein with them, as I believe that is what causes them to be the most dangerous.

I tried Fastin about 15 years ago. Didn't seem to work for me.
I worry about taking appetite suppressants. I'm addicted to food already, I have an addictive personality, I don't want to get hooked on a diet aid.
Are you thinking about using something like this?
I don't know what the brand was/is called, but it was the one everyone seemed to take years ago and by years I mean about 20! The caffeine was too much for me and then they made one w/out the caffeine. The ephedra is what worries me the most since I've heard so many bad things about it.
I was just looking for something to take the edge off. I am on the brink about trying a low-carb way of eating. Not quite Atkins, but along the same lines. When I start thinking about changing the way I eat I get obsessed with food. WW was tough since I was always thinking about points which made me think about food all the time.
