Help - I am taking my parents to WDW for their 48th anv. This is there first time and my father is 69yrs old and has a pacemake and neuropathy (hard to walk long distances). I suggested going when it's cooler, but they want to go NOW. HELP- how do I make this special, but at the same time keep him comfortable. I am doing the limo (happy limo or tiffany??).. PLEASE HELP THIS 37 yr old kid. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Your father might want to rent a scooter (ECV) full-time. It's about $35 per day from either Care Medical or Walker Mobility. Both companies will deliver the scooter to your resort. Since you will not be renting a car, I would suggest a WDW resort because the busses will easily handle an ECV. I'm not sure about off-site hotels. An ECV will allow your father to keep up with you and your mom in the heat. My mother and my in-laws always rent ECVs. They work great!

Thanks for the suggestion. I knew they rented them at the parks, but were limited. This helps alot!:)

A full time ECV rental would be well worth it. If as your name implies you will be staying at the Y&B Club you can use the boat for EPCOT and MGM and walk thru EPCOT to catch the Monorail to MK. You would only need to use a bus for AK and Downtown. The ECV will be great to use strolling the BW and Downtown and to get back to the resorts after a day at the parks.
