Thurs 7/17After debating whether or not I wanted to post a journal I decided it will probably be good for me to do so. I've been away from the WISH board for a while but I've returned for the following reasons: I'm tired of not being happy with the way I look, I want to be healthier, I hate dressing up b/c I don't like the way I look and I dread the sizes I will have to try on, I want to lose weight before I think of having another baby and because I have 3 weddings over the next year, one of them I'm in which is my brother's wedding in October!
Yesterday, Wednesday July 16 I restarted the Walk Away the Pounds tapes and I'm strictly doing the WW points again. Yesterday I did a mile walk and I had 4.5 ww points to bank and I didn't feel deprived or hungry.
So far today I've done the 2 mile walk and 60 sit ups, the points are going well too.

I went over daily point range by 4 points but I had 5.5 points banked from previous 2 days so it didn't really matter! I did the 2 mile walk and 50 sit ups.

Today was okay. No walk today but did well with points. We went to a cookout and I passed on the macaroni salad and loading up on nachos and cheese dip so I have noticed a change in my eating patterns and awareness since restarting WW points.

I did the 2 mile walk today and did really well with points with 2 to bank.

I only did the one mile walk today and 50 sit ups. So far so good with points and I should end up banking some points if I stick to what I have planned for lunch and dinner.

I started back at WISH, exercise and WW last Wed so today is my weigh in day and I lost 4 pounds! I've really become aware of what I eat and have limited certain foods that I love but with WW I can still have them in moderation. I treat certain things as snacks such as pepsi.
It's amazing what a difference a little exercise and cutting out or even just cutting down on certain foods like breads, butter and pepsi can make. I had a good week, there was only one day I just wanted to snack all day and give up but I didn't. Hopefully this coming week will be good too.
This is my 3rd time starting the WW program. The first time I stopped b/c I was pregnant and obviously couldn't do the program and the 2nd time I stopped b/c I got lazy. Each of the times I had 4-5 pounds loss the first week so I know that this 4 pound loss in a week is not typical. I know from here on in will be 1-3 pound losses (hopefully) and I know not to expect 5 pounds gone each week.

The points have been going well. I haven't exercised in a couple of days but I finally got back on track with exercise today. I did the 1 mile walk and fifty sit ups.

It's still going well with points but slacking a little on the exercise. I've been able to bank points almost every day without trying to. I've really been paying attention to portion sizes and realize that I am full or satisifed with smaller sizes than I thought. I brought my points finder food shopping with me yesterday which really opened my eyes about some of the food I used to buy or eat a lot of. I've found substitutes for snacks and drinks that are very satisfying and light on the points.

I didn't exercise Saturday or Sunday and I did ok with the points. Today I did the 2 mile walk. I really didn't want to but I'm glad I did. I realized today that I wasn't giving myself credit for earned points for exercise for the past 2 weeks so I started doing that today. I don't plan on using the points but it's good to know they are there if I have a bad points day.
I'm doing well with my points today and I've found that I'd rather have low point breakfasts and lunches in order to have a better dinner which seems to be working for me.
cinmell
07-29-2003, 01:56 PM
Things are still going pretty good. I 2 points banked yesterday not including the earned exercise points (2). Today I went walking for 50 minutes and I'm doing really well with points. Tomorrow is weigh day so I try to stay close to the low range of my points the day before weigh day. Hopefully it will go well.

Today is weigh day and I lost 4 lbs. since last week which brings my total loss since 7/16 to 8 lbs! I was so surprised today. I'm now at the point where I feel like I can really do this and I like it. I also am at the point where if I don't know the exact points of a food, I won't have it (except on my cheat night I allow myself once a week). On cheat night day I am really careful with points throughout the day and the day before but that night, I eat what I want and don't count and it doesn't seem to effect me much at all and I don't feel deprived.
I was able to go walking yesterday around the beach for 50 minutes and plan on doing the same today.
cinmell
07-31-2003, 05:42 PM
Today has been a good day. Went walking for 90 minutes. It was beautifuly along the beach, nice breeze, not too hot. If I stay on schedule for the rest of the night I will have done well with points and I earned activity points as well.

I did a lot of walking yesterday so my calves and shins are a little sore. I think I'll take today off, especially since it's raining. Also, I earned 5 activity points yesterday but didn't use them. I used 1.5 points less than the maximum for my range. I have to go back and read thru WW material because I think you are supposed to use what you earn so your metabolism will work correctly.
I'm going to buy a new scale to day because I have so much trouble trying to read those little lines and the dial moves when I lean to read it. I'm going to get a digital scale, I just hope it's not one that talks!
Well I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a scale, yoga kit and pilates for dummies. Points are going well today and tomorrow is my cheat night so I'm going to be careful today.
:D

I didn't exercise today. I did well with points for breakfast and lunch and had a cheat night at the outback for dinner. I notice I wasn't able to eat as much as I usually do when I go there. I didn't get the steak and baked potato like I normally do, I got the pasta and I don't even think I was able to finish 1/2 of it.

Got lazy and no exercise again. I banked 7 points.

I got back on track with exercise today. I did the 2 mile WATP dvd and 50 sit ups. I did well with points for lunch and breakfast but I don't know what to have for dinner. I'm happy to get back into exercise and I may try the pilates for dummies or yoga tomorrow.

I didn't exercise yesterday and slacked off with points at dinner. Today I did the 3 mile WATP and points are so far so good. Today is weigh day and I lost 2.2 lbs which brings total loss to 10.2 lbs. I was surprised because I wasn't expecting a loss this week b/c I slacked a little and it's not a good week of the month for getting weighed ;) .
I did the 3 mile WATP and I actually enjoyed it more than the 2 mile. I felt like it went by fast and I definitely feel it in my arms. I plan on doing the 3 mile again tomorrow and trying my new yoga tape.
I went a little over on daily points range but it didn't really matter b/c the few extra points were covered by activity points I eaned by doing the WATP. :D
cinmell
08-07-2003, 01:00 PM
I didn't try the yoga like I had planned but I did do the 3 mile WATP. I have my points planned out so if I stick with them I should do pretty good today.

I didn't exercise yesterday but I did walk around the mall a lot (does that count)? I stayed witin point range. I bought 2 pairs of pants at the Gap yesterday with zip up sides. It's been quite a few years since I've bought pants at the Gap and and quite some time since I bought any pants that weren't elastic waist. So I realized that the WW plan and exercise have been working for me and I can do it so I'm excited and motivated to keep on the plan.
I went walking for 45 minutes today and I considered today a cheat day with points. I did well but I did have a couple of mozzarella sticks  that count for a lot but I'm glad I had them and I'll be back on track tomorrow.

08-11-2003, 12:02 PM
I kind of blew off points yesterday. I didn't go nuts but I had more than I should have. Back on track today and I have the day planned out for points so if I stick with it I'll be ok. I want to do the 3 mile WATP but not sure if I'll make it today.

I was able to get in the 3 mile WATP and 50 sit ups today:D .

On Tues 8/12 I did the 3 mile WATP and had points left over. I could have done better with points this week (well 2 days could have been better) but I'm back on track. Weigh day is tomorrow Wed 8/13 so I'll see how I did.
cinmell
08-13-2003, 07:22 PM
Today was weigh day and I lost 2 lbs which brings my total loss to 12.2. I was surprised I lost anything because I slacked on points for two days but I did WATP often so that helped me. I was feeling lazy today but around 5:00 I felt guilty b/c I'd been a couch potato so I did the 3 mile WATP and now I don't feel so bad. I hope to stay on track this week and the weather is finally going to be sunny starting tomorrow so I can get out in the fresh air and walk!
cinmell
08-16-2003, 07:45 AM
Today I went walking for 50 minutes and it was very hot out. I went one point over in points but it was covered by earned activity points. :D
cinmell
08-16-2003, 07:46 AM
I had 2.5 points to bank and didn't exercise today . I had a doctor's appointment today and their scale said one pound more than mine at home but I did have on shoes and all clothes at the doctor's, at home I usually just wear a tshirt/underwear when I weigh in.

08-16-2003, 03:28 PM
Today I didn't feel like following any weight loss plan at all. I'm doing well with points so far today but it's been hard and I just want to snack. So I decided to have carrots and crystal light and then I did the 3 mile WATP. I'm glad I did it especially since we are going out for dinner tomorrow for a relative's birthday at Maggianos which is going to be a total killer on points.
This hot weather can be good because it sometimes makes me lose my appetite but on the other hand can be bad b/c I need to make sure I have at least the minimum points and it's also hard b/c I hate to cook in hot weather which means take out for supper. Luckily, pizza is only 4 points a slice so I might plan on that tonight.
cinmell
08-18-2003, 11:54 AM
Saturday I went a little over on points due to french fries . No exercise yesterday and I know I went over on points b/c we went to Maggiano's for dinner so that wasn't good point wise. Today I have my points planned to stay on the low side and I just did the 3 mile WATP. Hopefully I'll stay on track from here on in.
cinmell
08-20-2003, 10:27 AM
I went over my points by 1 and I walked for 1 hour today. I hope next week is better with points than this past week, I slacked for the last part of the week.
cinmell
08-20-2003, 10:35 AM
I kind of slacked on points for the end of last week, however, I did try to exercise more than I had been. I went back to recalculate my weight loss for the past month b/c I got a new digital scale and I was rounding up sometimes. I lost 2 lbs. last week. Which brings my total loss to 13.2. I need to lose 8.3 lbs reach the goal of my first 10% loss and I need to lose 2.8 lbs to move into the next (lower) point range.
Even thought I slacked a bit on points this past week I lost 2 lbs and I credit that to the exercise. I hope to do keep up the exercise this coming week and be a little more strict with points.
**Did 3 mile WATP and stayed within point range (including earned activity pts) with .5 to spare.
cinmell
08-21-2003, 12:15 PM
I did the 3 mile WATP this morning and I only used 3 points for breakfast (not too hungry this morning) and I plan on using 6 for lunch, 2 for an afternoon snack and not quite sure what I'm going to do for dinner. I'm trying to do better with my points this week!
I earned activity points for WATP and I had 8 points banked at the end of the day.

08-22-2003, 03:29 PM
I did the 3 mile WATP this morning and I'm on track with points so far for the day. I'm trying to keep them low and earn extra activity points b/c I'm going out to eat tomorrow night so I'll count that as my cheat night. :D
cinmell
08-25-2003, 07:37 AM
I didn't exercise today or yesterday. Last night I went to Outback for dinner so that was my cheat night for the week. Today I stayed within points but used the full amount. I plan to do the 3 mile WATP tomorrow and stay in low point range.
cinmell
08-26-2003, 03:08 PM
I did the 2 mile WATP and stayed within points with 3.5 to spare. I like the 3 mile WATP better but was kind of short on time today.

No exercise today (so far) and tomorow is weigh day. So far so good with points and tomorrow is weigh day. I'm hoping to have lost 2 lbs. but I don't know if I made it. I'll find out in the morning.

08-27-2003, 05:11 PM
Today is weigh day and I lost 1.6 lbs which is just shy of the 2 lbs I wanted to lose for this week but a loss none the less and I'm happy. :D I did the 3 mile WATP this morning and it felt good to do. I plan to be in the next points range next week so we'll see how that goes.

I did the 3 mile WATP today and I'm doing okay with points. I'm starting the new flex points program today and in order to stay at target, I can have a 5 point dinner without going into the extra allowed points. I don't want to dip into those so early in the week.

Yesterday I started the new flexpoints system. I wanted to stay at the new target points and not dip into the extra 35 that are allowed but I went over a little which was okay because the amount I went over was covered by earned activity points. I'm going to try to not go beyond that target today. I did the 3 mile WATP this morning and points seem to be on target but who knows come dinner time .

Well, I didn't exercise yesterday and I'm probably not going to today. We had to go to RI for a cookout yesterday which I did pretty good at food wise. This week has been my worst week so far since I started back on WW. I have no interest in keeping track of points but I know i have to. I was really losing my will power until the cookout yesterday. My future sister in law had ordered a couple of bridesmaids dress possibilities and they came in. My cousin tried it on and that just re-enforced how much I need to stay on track. It's an a-line dress which is good, but it has spaghetti straps (ugh) which I'm not thrilled about but it is a nice dress. I really need to keep up with WATP and points. It's been difficult lately b/c we are looking to buy a house which means a lot of open houses and viewing appts. so since we are out, we take advantage of having a babysitter and go to eat . I do however make different choices of what to eat than I would have 3 months ago, but still, I'm having more points than I should.
Weekends seem to be when I lose control and motivation to exercise. I hope I can get back on track tomorrow and I am already setting myself up for a small weight gain this week  :( . I should print a picture of the dress and hang it up around the house!!!!!!!!!

I was going to try flex points but I'm not sure if I like it. I'm used to the "old" way and it works for me so I don't know if I'm going to switch. I like the old way of earning activity points and banking points. I feel like the new 35 points gives me too much room to eat more. I'll try flexpoints until Wednesday which is weigh day then switch back if I don't feel like it's for me. If the 123 plan worked for me, why change it?

I didn't really follow points Sat-Mon and I didn't exercise at all   . I bought the 4 mile WATP yesterday. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and I decided to try the 4 mile walk. I wasn't crazy about the music but I did it. I think I like the 3 mile better but I'll stick with the 4 mile to get a little more exercise and for a change. I have planned out my meals for the day so as long as I stick with it I'll be all set with points for the day.

Focus Cindy. The exercise is def going to help. Wow 4 miles, impressive. I'm up to the 2, and need to buy the 3. Glad to hear you have planned your meals, I find this makes life so much easier. Hopefully no curve balls will come at ya this week:p Keep it up to go down!

Well,
I wasn't looking forward to today at all because it's weigh day and I didn't exercise a lot this past week and I wasn't strict with points for the second part of the week at all. But, I got on the scale and saw that despite my slacking, I lost .80 lbs. I stepped on and off the scale several times to make sure it wasn't a mistake. No, it's not a lot, but it's something, especially since I was expecting to see a gain due to my slacking. I was up again early today (5am) so I did the 3 mile WATP, I didn't really want to do the 4 mile. I am on track today for points and plan to stay on track from here on in. So far, I've lost 15.6 lbs and I think I have to lose an additional 5.9 to have reached the goal of losing my first 10%.

I just finished the 3 mile WATP. Today's going to be a challenge because we are going to a Patriots opening season game party/cookout. Good news is that a bud light is one point lower than a pepsi ;). I was in charge of chips and dips. I bought those and also tortillas and salsa (salsa 0 points). I don't know how good I'll be at not picking but we'll see.

You're doing so well! You have done what you could to plan for healthy choices at the tailgate party. Even if you go over a little, I bet you'll make better choices than you would have in your "former" life. Weigh-in is coming up for you and I'm hoping all your exercise and good food choices will result in a happy surprise!!!

Thank you DoeWDW! I figure if I stick with the grilled chicken and munch on a couple of tortillas and salsa I'll do okay, but we'll see! I made sure I already did my 3 mile walk to earn those extra activity points just in case ;).

I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I didn't exercise. Today I did the 3 mile WATP and I'm doing well with points, I don't plan on anything elaborate for dinner so I should stay on target. Tomorrow is weigh day and I'm not sure how I did this past week, I can't wait to see.

09-10-2003, 02:42 PM
Today is weigh day and I stayed exactly the same, no losses but no gains either. Last week I lost a very small amount and this week none so if I don't get my act together next week could be a gain . I didn't exercise today, I haven't been feeling well. I have an appointment tomorrow for migraines so hopefully they will go away so I can get back to my routine.
DoeWDW
09-10-2003, 04:00 PM

Thank you so much everyone! I didn't exercise Wed or Thurs but I did the 3 mile today and I felt a tad more tired than usual, I guess from not doing it for 2 days? Points haven't been great, I haven't made a big effort this week but I will from here on in because I fell horrible for not staying on track and I don't want to gain anything back! Thank you again, you guys are great!

I am back on track today and doing the 3 mile WATP. I have decided that I definitely do not like the new flexpoints program so I'm going to stay with the original plan of point range and banking. It worked for me so why mess with it? I feel like I was eating more flex points and stressing over staying at the target points with the new plan which is why I haven't done well that past couple of weeks. Hopefully going back on the "old plan" will work for me again and won't be as stressful.

09-16-2003, 05:46 PM
I didn't feel like doing the 3 mile today and was just going to blow it off but I decided to compromise and do the 2 mile and I'm glad I did. Tomorrow is weigh day and I'm not looking forward to it because I didn't have a good points week at all, I got really lazy and caved in to snack cravings. I'll just have to wait and see what the scale says which will be my wake up call to get back on track!

09-17-2003, 11:12 AM
Cindy, hang in there. You're bound to have some weeks that are not as good as others - that's just reality. I hope your weigh-in goes well. Each day is a new beginning - a chance to be good to yourself by eating healthy food and exercising. We're here with you, cheering you on!!

Well I woke up and weighed myself. I couldn't belive the scale so I weighed myself 6 times in 3 different areas of the house, waited 10 minutes and did it again because the scale said I lost 1.2 lbs (I don't know how) and I wasn't expecting a loss at all! This brings my total loss to 16.8 lbs and I'm 4.7 away from losing my first 10%.
I did the 3 mile WATP this morning and I got a case of the munchies so I'm snacking on cucumber w/ some vinegar (0 points). I have my meals planned out for the rest of the day and if I stick with it I will have had a great points day. I feel really motivated to stay on track right now and I also want to say a big thank you to DoeWDW for taking the time to post kind and encouraging words! :D

I did the 3 mile WATP and did pretty good with points considering I went to dinner. I did much better than I thought I would. :D I made breakfast and lunch low points knowing I would be eating out for dinner and snacked on carrots. As long as I continue to plan out meals and exercise I'll do pretty good, even if I slip a little with points.

I just finished the 4 mile WATP and my legs are burning! But, I'm glad I did it. I plan on a low lunch and a bigger dinner so hopefully I'll stick to my points but I do have activity points to cover if I go over.
I did the 4 mile this morning and I finished all my errands and cleaning and my daughter was wathing a Mickdy Mouse video so this afternoon I decided to do the 2 mile because I was bored. Never again will I do WATP twice! I'm quite sore so I'm sure I'll be skipping it tomorrow.

I didn't exercise over the weekend b/c I was so sore from doing the six miles on Friday. I did ok with points. Went to a Patriots party yesterday and lukily several fo the people there are on WW so thing things we all made we made with fat free or light ingredients. It really helps to have a group of people with the same goals.
I did the three mile WATP today and I'm on target with points, I hope to keep it up this week.

I have been a little concerned about the amout of points I was giving myself for activity. I was originally counting them as moderate then switched to high. After asking others what they count WATP points as (high vs. moderate) I think I'll start counting them as moderate again just to be safe. I wasn't quiete sure what to count them as b/c the definitions on the points booster stated that an example of moderate would be walking fast and high would be activities that make you sweat which the three mile does! I'll switch to moderate this week and see if that makes a difference in my eating and weigh in next week.
Maybe if I switch the activity points amounts and do a better job with cheating when I get a bad case of the munchies I will lose this coming week.

No exercise today and to top it off, I went 10 points over my range! I don't know why but I've been in a bit of a rut with the weight loss plan. Maybe now is the time to give the flex points plan another shot so I can dip into the flex points to cover the 10 point blunder! Tomorrow is another day.

Cindy, {{ hugs }} to you! I know what you mean about that rut in the eating plan. We all hit those low points and they are TOUGH!! Try to remember, though, that those feelings are usually temporary - they'll pass.
I can't help you with the WW points, since I low-carb, but there are lots of people on the WISH board who do WW. Maybe you can ask some questions there and get lots of help from others that are struggling with the same plan and the same issues.
I know you'll get through this! Keep up that good WATP exercise! I tried the 3 mile the other day - it's quite a workout!! I went back to my 2 mile yesterday! :p If you're doing the 3 mile, then you must be getting some great exercise!!

Thank you Doreen! You are always so quick to provide motivation and support, thank you!
So far so good today. I did the 4 mile WATP and I actually enjoyed it. My 2 year old daughter was watching one of her favorite videos so I got to enjoy the peace and exercise time. I had a 4 point breakfast and I'm not feeling hungry or sluggish and no Pepsi! I know it's only 10am but hey, I wanted it and didn't have it. Hopefully the rest of the day will go well. I'm just going to take it day by day and be extra conscience of what I'm eating/drinking and how much.

Well, I didn't do too much over the weekend meaning no exercise. But, I did do the 3 mile WATP today. I haven't been feeling well, ears and throat but I'm thinking it's allergies. Anyway, I took time over the weekend to go back and review my WW food journals and even though lately the days I was within point range, I wasn't eating the best food, not making great choices.
I plan to stay on an exercise plan doing WATP 5 times a week and I've replaced snacks in the fridge and pantry with carrots, rice cakes, etc. I realized that even though I would have chips with lunch and measure them out for low points, I was still picking at them before I measured any and before I put them away and if I gave some to my daughter. Those little things add up so I also have to work on picking.
Also, I've done WW twice in the past and realized that 2 to 3 monts into it is when I quit each time. I've been doing this since July 16th and I guess this 2-3 months point is where it gets difficult or "old" for me but I'm sticking with it this time. I know I can do it and I just have to work and it and change my ways. I've realized the things I have to fix, now I just have to actually fix them (easier said than done).

Didn't feel much like exercising but I did the 2 mile in order to keep on track with my goal of exercising 5 times per week. Points have been great so far and if I stay on track like I plan to do, I'll be in good shape. I may give the target points one more try this coming week. Tomorrow is weigh day and I'm not expecting a loss due to slacking on points and cheating by way of picking a lot and, this isn't the best week of the month for me to weigh so I'm looking forward to next week.

Today is weigh day and I was down .6 lbs thanks to the digital scale. That brings total loss (after a small gain and staying the same) to 17 lbs. That brings me to 4.5 lbs to go to reach my first 10% loss which is my next goal (I hope I've been doing my math correctly!). No exercise today because I'm not feeling well at all. A couple of days ago I thought I had allergies but now I think it's a cold, I feel it in my chest, head and throat. I hope to feel better tomorrow to get back to WATP.
I did well with points yesterday and I'm on track today so hopefully I will keep it up this week. I'm just going to take this weight loss plan week by week and set small goals.

I did the 3 mile watp today and points are going really well. I was food shopping and picked up carrots and celery for when I get in the snack mood and they had a great looking salad bar so I decided to try that for lunch. It was good, but not as good as was when I used to put all the extra goodies in the salad such as some pasta salad, tons of croutons, dressing and lots of chopped up egg. Salad was pretty blah today but it was still ok.

I did pretty good with points yesterday. I wasn't sure what to count dinner as (at out) but I estimated and stayed in range, at least I think I did. Today I did the 2 mile and had a low point breakfast and still feel pretty energetic. The weekend is here which is one of my weaknesses but I "plan" to be good.

I went walking for an hour this morning and points are ok. I have a wedding tonight so hopefully the dinner will be something that won't ruin my points for the day, at least not too much. I'm trying the flex points again this week so I'm hoping that will help me today.

I didn't eat much of the main course but I'm not sure what to count the ceasar salad as and one or two other things. I'm not going to worry about it, I'm just going to move on and try to stay on track.

I did the 3 mile today and points are great and I should have some to bank if I stay on track today. I have kind of a rough weekend coming up (points wise) with a family dinner on Saturday night and a day out on Sunday. I have to make sure I exercise each day to help out in case I slip.

I started the 3 mile WATP but my daughter woke up just as I hit the 1/2 mile mark. So after I got her settled I started again therefore doing 3 1/2 miles of WATP. Points were great during the day but we got Dominos for dinner (which I'm not a fan of but my husband really wanted) and it wasn't the pizza that did me in, it was the cheesey bread  . If I use point range I would have gone over but if I used flex points I would be okay.

I woke up around 4 am and couldn't get back to sleep. So I popped in the 4 mile WATP around 4:45 and I was done before 6am. I feel good that I actually exercised on the weekend. I have breakfast and lunch planned for lower points b/c we are going for a family b'day dinner tonight. I make different choices for the main course since starting the weight loss program, but I still seem to have trouble resisting the appetizers (potato skins & mozzarrella sticks). I guess if I slip a bit and I'll try not to, at least I did the 4 mile to help me out.

I did the 4 mile WATP this morning and points are well so far. I am meeting a friend for dinner tonight but I'm not worried about going over on points b/c she's on a weight plan too. We won't get appetizers and we'll skip the bread (she's doint low or no carbs) so I figure I'll get some kind of baked chicken with a baked potato or veggies depending on what kind.
Tomorrow is the day I'm supposed to weigh in but I'm thinking of switching to Friday mornings.

She was settled and I packed up some boxes b/c we are moving soon then I had nothing to do so I popped in the 2 mile WATP. I'll be sorry tomorrow or at least my thighs will be but I'm glad that I did it and that I made the choice to stay active rather than sit on my butt.

Today is supposed to be weigh day but I decided to switch to Friday mornings to help me make up for any indiscretions I may have had over the weekend:rolleyes: ;). I was up early so I did the 3 mile WATP, was bored later so I did the 2 mile WATP. I decided to keep moving when I have down time rather than plop myself in front of the tv. Points are really well today.
As of last Wednesday I have 1.7 lbs. to go to reach my 1st mini goal of 10% loss. Once I reach that, I'd like to lose another 10 by Thanksgiving but I don't think that is realistic for me but I'm going to try. I went shopping today and bought some celery sticks for snacks, crystal light, etc. If I stay on track with keeping off my lazy butt and snack smart, I have a good chance at reaching that Thanksgiving goal.

I did the 3mile WATP and 2 mile WATP today. I switched weigh days this week from Wed to Friday and I was only down .40 bringing total loss to 20.2lbs. I'm 1.3 lbs away from losing my first 10% which I hope to lose by next week.
I feel like the weight is coming off slowly but I notice a difference in the way my clothes are fitting and I've been receiving many comments and compliments about my losing weight. I feel as though I may be losing inches faster than pounds if that makes sense. I'm going to buy a measuring tape and use that each week at weigh in which is probably something I should've done from the start.

Thank you Doreen! I took yesterday off from exercise because it was so busy here. We are closing on our house today so I was at the bank yesterday, Home Depot and the final walk thru (which we realized we have a lot more work to do than we thought:rolleyes:) so we were pretty bummed about that.
I was up at 4:30 this morning so I did the 4 mile WATP and weighed in. I had a 2.2 loss this week which helped me reach my first goal of losing my first 10%. My total loss is 22.4 lbs :D. My new goal is to lose the next 10% which means I'll have to lose approx. 19 pounds to reach that goal but I'm up for it and I know I can do it. I bought 2 new dvd's that were recommended by other WISHers. One has a few 10 minute segments of pilates and the other has a few 10 minute segments of yoga workouts. I'll try those next week. It will be good to add something different to my exercise. Thanks for your support everyone, you have helped me so much! :D

Thanks Erin! It went well except that the sellers forgot the deed so we had to wait and the house was in bad shape when it came to cleaning. They had 2 cats and a dog and there was animal fur everywhere, radiators, doorways, etc. so I spent the first two days doing serious cleaning to get rid of all of the hairs before the painting and just to be cleaned. I don't think the woman knew what a vacuum is.
Anyway, the last time I did any regular exercise was Friday morning. Since then I haven't done any WATP but I have been doing a lot of painting, cleaning, walking up and down stairs and ladders and walking aimlessly around the aisles of Home Depot a few times ;) so I hope that counts for something. Also, since the kitchen has stuff everywhere and there's no fridge, we've had a lot of take out so I know this week's weigh in is going to be bad. But I hope to get back to exercise today. I had my regular breakfast today so I hope to get back on track.

Thanks for the encouraging words Erin!
We moved a couple of weeks ago and just got the internet last night! It took so long due to Verizon and Comcast but I won't get into that now. The move really threw my exercise and eating plans off kilter.
Well, I hadn't exercised or followed points since approx. 11/6:eek:   .but I did weigh myself every Friday.
I didn't gain any weight from my last weigh in from when I did points and exercise. In fact I lost 2.4 pounds since 11/6. I think all of the moving, lifting, going up and down stairs and mostly nerves have kept me from gaining weight. I started back on the official exercise Monday 12/1 and points (I haven't been too strict with points but I will starting today, hopefully).
My total loss is 25 lbs and I've started on my next goal of losing my 2nd 10%. I have approx 17 pounds to lose to reach that goal (I think, I'll have to check my journal).

Just stopped by to say "hi," Cindy. . .it sounds like you're really doing great--to lose over 2 pounds while not being too strict with yourself is wonderful! I think that the real key to successful weight loss is walking the walk for the long haul. . .we have to remind ourselves that "life happens." Moving, the holidays, and changes in our routine all play a factor in our abilities to eat properly and exercise regularly. The fact that you weighed yourself and kept an eye on things--even when you couldn't really get into the whole point and exercise thing--inspires me to keep on keeping on no matter what! Thanks!
Have a good day:wave2:

Thank you Erin for your encouraging words. :D No exercise today b/c we ended up at the doctor's with my 3 year old. She has a sinus infection but still runs around like normal (I wish I had her energy).
I've really been blowing it with staying in points range and eating the right foods. That has to change b/c I just found out my blood pressure is slightly high and my cholesterol is high so I have to just make myself make better food/eating decisions and make sure to keep on the exercise. I didn't weigh in today. I should have but I didn't. I've been off schedule big time between moving, Christmas, vacations and helping family members move. I guess I've received exercise from carrying boxes and going up and down stairs so at least I can say I haven't been sitting around. My husband goes back to work on Monday and things should be back to normal (we've been eating out a lot during his vacation). I will start WATP again on Monday 1/5 and points. I've begun stocking the fridge and cabinets with healthier or lower point snacks so I won't be tempted to eat the bad stuff. Hi Jeanie!
Thanks for stopping by! I do count activity points for the WATP walks. I really like WW but the past few days (since I've tried to do them again since before the holidays) I just can't seem to stay in range. I follow the old range, not the new flexpoints program. I'm hoping there will still some kind of loss this week, no matter how small, due to exercise and trying to follow points. I hope that even though I've gone a little over, I've got to be doing better than when I didn't keep track. Points makes me so aware of what I'm eating. Do you count activity points?

I did the 3 mile WATP today and I'm being very careful about points. I had a lower points breakfast than I normally do and lunch was low as well. I went back and looked at my journal from last week and realized I noticed that I drank a lot of pepsi which is a killer on points. I stocked up on crystal light so I can have that in place of tonic. Hopefully limiting or ommitting pepsi from my diet will help my weight loss.
**Points went really well today. I even had some left over to bank (I follow the old WW plan, not the flexpoints). I didn't starve myself and I even had snacks, but I was just more careful with my meal choices and avoiding Pepsi as well as chips with lunch.

I did the 2 mile WATP today. I usally do the 3 mile but didn't feel like doing exercise so I thought I'd shorten the workout today. I don't know why but the 2 mile seems to take more out of me than the 3 mile. Anyways, I'm glad I got off my butt today and changed the routine a little. Points are good today and I hope to keep it that way thru dinner.

I did the 3 mile WATP and some abs exercises. I did well with points , I actually had 2 left over. I've had left over points twice this week but I'm sure I went over on Saturday and slightly over on Tues. night at dinner.

I overcame my laziness and did some crunches and 3 mile WATP. Points, well they were ok. I started out great, but kind of snacked later in the day. Oh well.

Today is weigh day. I lost 1.6 which brings total loss to 26.6 (was hoping it would be higher but have had stalled weeks and some gains) and I have approx. 15 lbs. more to lose to reach my second 10% lost.
**Edited to add:
I did the 3 mile WATP and I'm track with points today. I'm nervous about points with the weekend coming up (Patriots party on Sunday) but I'm going to try to have some healthy alternatives to chips, etc.

hey cindy, looks like you've been doing great on workouts and points! i'm on ww too, and i actually just bought the 3 mile watp video tonight. planning on using it tomorrow if it's too cold to go out and do my normal run. how many aps do you count for that? i've heard a rule of thumb is 1 point per mile, but i wanted to check. anyway, thanks, and keep up the great work! :D

Hi Marcia! Thanks for stopping by. :D I count 3 activity points for the 3 mile WATP, doing the point per mile. Good luck with the watp. I like that series because because I feel like I get a good workout and it's not difficult to do like Pilates is (at least for me ;) ). Have a good day!

I was a bad girl this weekend b/c I didn't exercise Saturday, Sunday or Monday!
Anyways, I'm back and I just finished the 4 mile WATP and I'm being very careful with points today. Hopefully it will be a good week.

01-23-2004, 07:28 AM
I did the 4 mile WATP today and points went well. I didn't exercise yesterday b/c I wasn't feeling well, getting congested and tight in the chest but I felt too lazy today to sit around. One more day to weigh day but not expecting great results due to TOM.
cinmell
01-23-2004, 11:39 AM
I did the 4 mile WATP today and had low point breakfast with low pt. lunch planned. We are going away for the weekend:hyper: which means eating out for the next 3 days. Anyway, I'm not too worried as long as I pick up my exercise routine as soon as I get home and maybe sneak in a couple of walks over the weekend.
Today was weigh day and I lost a whopping .6 lbs. Total loss to date is 27.2 lbs (love that digital scale, every little bit helps :D ). I have approx. 14 1/2 to go before I reach my 2nd 10% lost. I'm not sure yet what my ultimate goal is, I'm just taking mini goals right now. I think that makes the weight loss more attainable and possible, at least for me.

I did the 3 mile WATP. Today was weigh day, I gained just under a pound (.80 to be exact. :( I know it's not much but I feel like the weight loss hasn't been going anywhere lately.

cindy, i'm sorry you saw a gain :( . but did you take measurements? are your clothes fitting any looser? maybe you're losing inches but not pounds! hope that helps! feel better :sunny:
cinmell
02-03-2004, 08:05 AM
Hi Marcia,
I didn't take measurements but I will today. Thank you for your kind words :D .
I did the 4 mile watp this afternoon and used all of my points but didn't go over. My goal for Tuesday is to have a couple left over to bank.
marsh0013
02-03-2004, 11:07 AM

Thanks Marcia!
Tuesday was a lazy day but points were ok, no exercise though  . Today was kind of a crazy day so I didn't WATP but I had to go to the mall so I went before the stores opened to get in some mall walking. I have a healthy dinner planned for tonight so I should be ok today. There will be exercise tomorrow!!!!!
cinmell
02-06-2004, 12:13 PM
This week, I only did WATP once, mall walked one day approx 30 min and was not strict with points at all. In fact we had a superbowl gathering Sunday and had Outback for dinner last night. I lost 1 lb this week. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy about a loss, but I can't figure out how I did it. I stepped on the scale 4 times and then again 3 times 1 hour later and it was the same. :D Imagine what I can lose if I actually get back on my exercise and points routine which is my plan for next week.
cinmell
02-09-2004, 02:53 PM
Well I'm determined to not be lazy like I was last week. I just finished the 3 mile WATP and points are great so far, however, I'm going to eat tonight with my mother and future sister in law to go over wedding plans and we're going to an Italian restaurant, not good for the points :scared: . I plan to exercise every day this week (I usually take the weekends off) and I bought veggies for snacks instead of chips, etc.
marsh0013
02-10-2004, 10:02 AM
hope you did okay with the italian restaurant. even though it's hard, i just tend to avoid the creamy sauces and teh cheese dishes when i go to italian. they usually have some steamed or grilled choices that i go for.
looks like you're doing well! and choosing veggies for snacks instead of chips is a great idea :). keep up the great work! :bounce:
cinmell
02-10-2004, 01:22 PM
Thanks Marcia. :D Let's just put last night's dinner behind us, shall we? I have 2 words, mozzarella sticks, need I say more?:D Well, I couldn't resist the bread and mozzarella sticks but I exercised yesterday and did the 2 mile today. I usually do the 3 or 4 mile but I'm feeling really lazy and doing a bunch of things around the house so I figured the 2 mile was better than nothing.
Points are going really well today. I went thru the fridge and pantry and figured out the point value for everything and wrote the value on the box/container with a red sharpie. Then I started to write everything in a notebook I have that I use to track daily points used, weekly weigh ins and point values for various foods. It will make it easier to figure out meals without having to pull out a book or notebook all the time.
marsh0013
02-11-2004, 11:47 AM
that dinner...already forgotten :p . good for you for moving on so quickly. just focus on what you can do now, no use worrying about what you've already done. and that's a really good idea about labelling the points on everything. makes it much easier when you want to just grab something ::yes::
hope your day goes well today :sunny:

I did the 4 mile watp today. Weigh wasn't as good as I hoped, lost only .80, not even a whole pound! I'm starting to get very annoyed with how slowly the weight is coming off. I don't hold out much hope for next week since it's not the best week of the month for weight loss  so maybe the week after will show more of a loss.
marsh0013
02-16-2004, 05:13 PM

I did the 3 mile WATP today but I didn't exercise Saturday-Monday. I didn't do watp Tues but I went to NYC shopping for the day and did a lot of walking and not a lot of eating so that was good.
You're right Marcia, any loss is better than a gain but it's so frustrating to have a small loss when you think you had a good week. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Marcia! I know I really didn't "deserve" a loss this past week b/c I didn't really work. I had a crazy and lazy week. When I wasn't busy I didn't want to exercise and it was TOM but I usually stay on track for TOM. I don't know what happened to me.
But, today starts a new day and week so my goals today are to get back to exercise everyday and to stay within point range (strictly follow points).
Someone posted a link to find out what your BMI is and I'm supposed to be 20-25 and mine was 34.3     !!!! That's just another reason to get motivated to get back on track. :D

Well I bought FIRM Body Sculpting Series. I tried and remember just how uncoordinated I am :D . I made thru approx. 25 minutes of the tape then watched the rest of it to see what was in store for me tomorrow. Even though I didn't' finish it, my thighs and back are kind of sore. I also did the 1 mile WATP to get a little more movement in for the day. Points are going great today and they were great yesterday too.

Cindy, you've really been struggling the past few months, haven't you? But you're still losing, even if it's slowly, and you sound like you're getting back in the groove!
I keep hearing such good things about the FIRM, so keep posting your progress, OK?

Today is weigh day and I'm down 1.6 lbs from last week. This brings my total loss to 30 pounds and I have slightly over 12 pounds to lose to reach my next mini goal of my 2nd 10% loss. I added an ab tape yesterday to my exercise routine and boy can I feel it. I can feel it when I laugh and even go to sit down! I'm heading out to buy some weights to add to my exercise regimine.
Today I plan on doing either the 2 or 3 mile watp along with the ab sculpt firm video and I plan to stay on target with points.
**Edited to add:
I did the ab sculpt and the 1st half (lower body) of the body sculpt today. This was the first time I tried the body sculpt tape and now I've done (attempted) all three from the BSSI. I like the ab and the body sculpt, the cardio is going to take me a while to get used to but I'm up for it!

Sounds like you're enjoying your new FIRM tapes! Maybe your body is too used to WATP?
I've done a little reading from the beginning of your journal. You've been journaling since July. You have been building good eating into your daily habits! Even when you slip up, you realize it and you come back to eating healthy. You're doing a great job Cindy!!
Now that warmer temperatures are on the way, it should get easier to shed the weight. I think our bodies hang onto the weight over the winter and don't want to let it go. I bet the scale will be moving more in the near future for you!!

I did the 2 mile WATP Express and the FIRM ab sculpt today. I took the weekend off b/c I didn't want to push it with the sculpt videos and I was a little sore. Points have actually been ok. Cindy, good luck with that cardio sculpt workout today!
I actually took a week off from writing down all my food and eating strict low-carb. I was just feeling too overwhelmed. I realized that I LIKE the structure of my eating plan. I guess it's like going on vacation - it's always nice to go somewhere else for a little while, but it's also nice to come home. I feel like my eating plan is home, comfortable & familiar. If you need a little time off, take it - whether it's a day or a week - but treat it as a vacation, rather than a permanent change.
Hang in there, Cindy! :sunny:

Hi Doreen,
I think I will take a day off from tracking but I will be mindful I'm what I'm eating and how much and see how it goes. I'll off to try the cardio sculpt!
cinmell
03-04-2004, 06:42 AM
I did the ab sculpt yesterday and Monday along with watp because I was not ready to try the cardio or body sculpt again. I finally tried the cardio sculpt this morning and I finished it! I don't have it mastered, far from it but on the moves where I would get stuck or uncoordinated I just marched/walked in place or just concentrated on the leg movements and didn't bother with the arms which made it easier to follow. I did the 2 mile WATP in the afternoon. It was another good point day. I probably won't have time for exercise tomorrow so I think I'll try the Body Sculpt on Friday which has been the biggest challenge FIRM tape for me.
cinmell
03-05-2004, 12:43 PM
I took the day off yesterday because I had a couple of appoints and to give my muscles a break from Wed. :D
I did the AB Sculpt early this am and my goal for today was to do the Body Sculpt tape. I put the tape in and 15 minutes into I realized that I put the cardio sculpt in instead of the body one so I stayed with it, but only half way thru. I've been developing a cold and I started coughing and felt a little heavy in my chest so I decided to stop and take it easy.
Today is weigh day and I lost .60 of a pound. I was hoping for at least a full pound loss because I had a good exercise and point week but I'll take the -.60 loss. Hopefully next week will be a little more of a loss.
cinmell
03-06-2004, 07:49 AM
Well I still have that cold so I'm going to take it easy. I think I'm starting to get addicted to exercise or feel extremely guilty about missing it so I decided to at least do some sit ups this morning, 100 of them. At least some part of my body got some exercise. Points went pretty well yesterday and I plan to do well today but as for tonight, well lets just call it my cheat night! My hsuband and I are going to the Outback so I'm going to enjoy it and get to exercising tomorrow (hopefully).
marsh0013
03-06-2004, 04:30 PM
hey cindy, good idea to take some time off exercise when you're sick. you've gotta listen to your body. if it needs the extra rest, your best bet is to let it have it. i know what you mean about being addicted to exercise though! it really is hard to take a break! hope you had a great dinner at outback :)
DoeWDW
03-08-2004, 11:16 AM
Outback - YUM!! That's one of my favorite restaurants! I hope you enjoyed your dinner out with DH!
If your cold has settled in your chest, then you should take a break from exercise. Be extra good to yourself - your body is using lots of energy to fight off that cold, even though you're not exercising. Don't be afraid to take a short break. If you feel like you have to do some exercise, treat yourself to some gentle stretching.
Hope you're feeling better soon, Cindy! :sunny:

Well, I didn't exercise yesterday or today (except for 100 sit ups each morning including Sunday) because it's been an little bit crazy. My 3 year old has 2 ear infections and my husband woke up yesterday and couldn't move his hand. He went to the ER and came home in a cast b/c he tore the tendons and has a bone chip. He has no idea how he did it. I feel really bad about not exercising but this usually isn't a good week for me anyways diet wise (the week prior to TOM) so I'm not going to dwell on it and I'll just do what I can and try to stay extra good with eating.

aw cindy, i hope your kiddo is feeling better! ear infections are no fun. and your dh! that's just crazy, and pretty scary too. mysteriously tearing tendons? oh my goodness! i hope he's okay. don't worry about not getting your exercise in. sounds like you've got enough other stuff to be worrying about anyway. as long as you stick to your eating plan, i'm sure you'll do just fine, and you'll be able to get back to exercise when you can ::yes::

Thanks Marcia! It's been crazy here. Luckily my little one is better and my husband is better but still sore. He can't figure out what happened. Anyway, I did weigh in on Friday and I was exactly the same. I didn't exercise but I was kind of busy so I think that kept me from eating a lot.

Hi Erin! Thanks for stopping in. :D Don't give me too much credit with the FIRM, let me tell you, it wasn't pretty ;) . I bet if I taped myself I could win big on America's Funniest Home Videos :teeth: . I made a few modifications a couple of times but I made it thru. :sunny:

Well my 3 year old has her first day at playgroup. I didn't know what to do with myself. I went walking for 2 hours and 20 minutes! I had my ipod, kept walking and lost track of time. I felt great, until last night, shin splints started on my right leg so I"m not going to do anything Wednesday, I'll just take it easy I guess.

Well my legs were pretty sore so I took it easy on Wed. I did 100 crunches and some weights work with my arms. Points are ok. I've had cold so I'm off this week, I just can't seem to shake it.

Have a great day today! :sunny:

Well I didn't exercise yesterday due to a head/chest cold. Despite slacking on exercise and points, I'm down a pound today from last week. My total loss is 32 pounds :D . I've never grabbed a clippie but I was thinking of getting the 30 pounds one but I was afraid I would jinx myself and have to give it back!

I'm feeling better today, at least I can breathe easier! I wasn't able to stay on track much this week due to being sick but what can you do?
I'm supposed to be going out tonight for a little bit for my birthday but I'm not sure if I feel up to it yet. I guess I'll just take the weekend to rest and start up again on Monday.
Have a good day everyone!:sunny:

Well, I was feeling better Saturday morning but it got worse again Saturday night. It turns out I didn't have a chest cold like I thought, instead it's bronchitis and and ear infection which means 3 prescriptions (antibiotic, inhaler and cough med) and another week of no exercise!
I know I have to take care of myself but I feel like whenever I have a good week or get on a roll with exercise and points, something comes up. I guess I should savor the break from exercise and having an excuse to lay on the couch. :D I'm hoping to start exercise again Wed or Thurs.

i'm so sorry you are sick! bronchitis, goodness, you better take care of yourself! i know it's hard to give up the exercise for a while, but really, you need to give your body that rest! do enjoy your time on the couch, and i hope you feel better!

Thank you for the sunshine! I still feel blah but a bit better. I am starting to taste and smell again! I still get winded easily so I'll stay away from the exercise for a bit longer (the lazy part of me is psyched the other part is bummed b/c I know I'm going to get really behind with my program). I wonder what effect medicine will have on my weight loss/gain?
Have a good day everyone, thanks for the kind words! :D

cindy, glad you're starting to feel a bit better. don't worry about missing your exercise! when you're sick, you've just got to take that break. and don't worry about the effect it will have on your weight loss. i know that's a hard thing to say, and to do. but when you're sick, you just have to be most worried about taking care of your body and getting better. once your'e back to 100%, then get back to worrying about the weight loss. it'll happen. just don't push too hard now, because you could make yourself more sick and delay your progress even more. alright, mom mode off :p
hope you continue to feel better and have a great day today :sunny:

Well, I'm feeling better. I'm going to start out today with the 2 mile watp today. It's been one day shy of 2 weeks since I last exercised. I'm going to start points again and writing them down. I did weigh in on Friday 4/2 and it wasn't good. Scale said I was up 2 pounds from the Friday before  :( .
I didn't drink a lot of water while I was sick but I did drink a lot of orange juice and cranberry juice and those can be high in points if not limited. So now I'm back to lots of water too. Have a good day everyone!

Today I did the one mile watp and FIRM ab sculpt. Points went well, it was a weird day, I wasn't really hungry. I drank tons of water and plan to do the same for the rest of the week.

Cindy,
Just got done skimming your journal. You've been doing really well. I hope you are proud of yourself.
And I say, WEAR THAT 30 POUND CLIPPIE WITH PRIDE! I don't think that you would jynx yourself. You have worked at this a long time, and I bet it is habit now for you. That is great!

Recovery from being sick can take quite a while. It's OK to try the WATP but you've just got to slow yourself down. Moving a little is better than not moving at all. Do what you can and know that it will be enough.

Thanks for stopping by Doreen!
I was feeling better for a couple of days until Thursday. I went for a walk and it went downhill from there. I started to feel terrible again, trouble breathing, coughing, congestion, etc. My husband has been sick since last week and my 3 year old has 2 ear infections :( so it looks like it's just going around my house and possibly a second time for me.
I was going to skip weigh in on Friday 4/9 due to lack of exercise but I stepped on the scale anyway. I was down 1.8 from the previous week and I'm not sure how but I'm not going to complain. I cut down on all the juices and upped my water intake. Now I'm just at a stand still with my weight loss and I'm pretty fed up with being sick. I'm afraid if I don't get better soon and back into the swing of things, the exercise and points are going to go out the window. :(

 for you, Cindy!! When the whole family is sick, it makes everything else in life seem miserable too! I know that you will all be feeling better soon and then you'll WANT to start eating healthy and exercising. Just give yourself time to recover, permission to rest....that's tough for us Moms but you've gotta save your strength right now.
I'm sending some extra healing :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: in 3 doses for you, DH and DS!!! I hope you're all feeling better soon!

I weighed in on Friday (4/16) and I was down one pound which brings my total loss to 32.8 lbs. I haven't exercised but I have increased my water and substitured my pepsi snack points for orange or cranberry juice. I've been taking vitamins and we haven't eaten out or ordered take out in 2 weeks which is unheard of for us.
I plan on starting with WATP tomorrow and FIRM on Tuesday. I've been feeling better but have set backs when I start activity or go outside. I have a doctor's appt. because they think the bronchitis may have triggered allergies or asthma.

Hang in there, Cindy! Take your time and ease back into the groove! It sounds like you're doing well in the food department and you're losing - always good news!! One less pound you have to carry around! :Pinkbounc You're eating healthier and making great choices! You should be very proud of you!! ::yes::
Sorry to hear about the asthma! I have a mild case of asthma, although when I eat low-carb I don't have near as many episodes! I hope the doc gives you an albuterol inhaler - taking 2 puffs before you exercise can keep the asthma from coming on. Check with your doc to make sure that's what they recommend but that's what my doc told me to do and it works.
Hope you have a terrific Tuesday! :sunny:

Thanks for stopping by Doreen! Thanks for your advice about the albuterol. My doctor did prescribe the albuterol inhaler with refills when I first became sick so I will take you advice and try it before exercise today.
I didn't weigh in on Friday, didn't feel like it. That's the first time I've skipped weigh in since I started in July. This morning I started writing down points again and measuring portions to make sure I'm not having more than I'm counting points for. I will do the 2 mile WATP this morning along with all the spring cleaning I will be doing. I'm starting over today and hopefully there won't be any setbacks, at least any time soon!
:cheer2: Have a good day everyone! :sunny: :cheer2:

Sometimes when I've strayed, getting back to my healthy habits almost seems like the comforting feeling I get when I come home after vacation. I'm still here but haven't been to WISH too much. I have been trying to be careful with points but exercise hasn't been one of my top priorities lately (FIRM, WATP) and it should be!
I have been very busy and I'm been busy cleaning out a spare room and the basement so I've been doing a lot of lifting and climbing stairs over the past 2 weeks or so. It's not my normal routine but it's something. Tomorrow is weigh day (not looking forward to it) and this weekend is going to be busy but things should be back to normal by Monday. I'll try again to get back on schedule.

Thanks Doreen! I really appreciate that you take to time to cheer your fellow Wisher's on! :D
I skipped exercise yesterday b/c my knees and back were sore so I didn't want to push it too much especially since I was just starting up again on regular exercise. I did the FIRM Cardio Sculpt today. Today is also weigh day which didn't go as well as I hoped :( . The scale said I was up 2 lbs from last week  :( . I was on points (I went over a little but still did better than if I wasn't keeping track), exercised except for yesterday and drank my water. I'm also a Pepsi fanatic and I only had Pepsi twice this week. Oh well, I guess I can't dwell on it. Hopefully next weeks weigh in will be better.

I agree, scales can be evil ;) ! Last week is typically a bad weigh in week for me (week before TOM) so I figured I'd spare myself the disappointment of stepping on the scale but now I wish I did just so I could see the difference between last week and this week.
I did the 3 mile WATP today, not quiet sure what I'll do for Wednesday's exercise. Maybe I'll do a FIRM tape.

Well I took yesterday off from exercise (too hot and humid in the house, no ac's in yet) but I did the 3 mile WATP today. I also decided to walk to the bank and stores for errands today rather than drive. No need to drive when you can walk. Tomorrow is weigh day and I'm not sure how it will go but at least I'm exercising again.

I think any time your scale isn't moving down, your inches must be disappearing. I'm impressed by the amount of exercise you do, and think you must be converting muscle to fat. You should measure yourself (arms, legs, thighs, too, not just waist and bust) to have another way to judge your progress.
Have a magical day!

Hi disneygoof! Thanks for stopping by. :)
I did buy a tape measurer a few months ago but I just never think to use it, I don't know why :confused3 :confused3 . Maybe I'll just leave it on the scale so I can't forget. I definitely see a difference in my stomach and hip area so I must be losing something whether it's pounds or inches.
Today I went walking for 45 minutes. I had planned on doing WATP but instead I went walking along with my daughter as she rode her bike.

I did the FIRM ab sculpt and 3 mile WATP express today. It was weigh day and I was up .80 lbs   . I admit I was having a good week exercise and food wise until yesterday. I finally remembered to take measurements so I will compare them next week.
My goal for next week is to continue with the 4 mile WATP and maybe mix it with the firm body sculpt and no Pepsi and try to down on the amount of potato and bread intake.
