Shopping Question ?

I 've notice a couple of threads that talk about "prefered" or "Disney recommended " shops. What does this mean ?

The Disney Cruise Line has some shops that they have agreements with. They will send their cruisers there and if a cruiser has a problem with any merchandise that they purchase at any of these shops, DCL will get involved and remedy the situation. They have a talk on shopping in paradise and they give you a guide of all these shops, or you can pick up the guide at the shopping desk. I highly recommed using these shops as my father did not and spent $500 on tanzanite, only to get the stones home and have them appraised as fake! I would now only consider makeing a big purchase at a DCL shop and I would always use a credit card - my father did neither:(

Thanks for the info. DW is considering a jewlery purchase and would feel much better if there is some recourse if there is a problem.
