Help!
I'm on the phone w/ Dollar. For a minivan reservation.
They say they do not offer booster seats. I need one for a 6 year old, aprox. 40lb. Too big for a car seat, but needs more than a seatbelt. Thier attitude was FL law says only up to 4 needs car seat. Then just a seatbelt.

Am I crazy, in New York under 70 lb needs booster!

Anyone know what FL law is? Actually, It doesn't really matter, I know a seatbelt does not restrain a child who is under 70lb properly.
I am really dissapointed that a national company that woud know other states have higher saftey requirements wouldn't go with the most safe possibility. :(

Believe it or not Fl law only requres children 2 and under to be in a safety seat. Children 3-10 must be buckled but there is no carseat requirement. To tell you the truth after the first time we rented a carseat (from hertz IIRC) I would never do it again anyway - it was old and very dirty. Just check your booster with your luggage and you don't have to worry about it.
