Do you secure your rooms at rack rate and then switch over when discounts come out? I'm starting to make plans for next summer's vacation. :D

Yes, I book as soon as I start making arrangements. I ask about discounts like AAA, Entertainment book, and Universal Fan Club and then I book the best deal.

But then I keep checking for rates to come down or special discounts to become available. I check here in this board frequently. That is how I found out my Entertainment rate of $146 for HRH came down to $125!

FYI...I booked January for December and by March, it had come down and I rebooked.

We are DVC members so I make ressies for all days at WDW. Then when I find a good discount I call and book a couple of nights at Universal.

We also book way ahead and then if a discount comes up, then go ahead and apply it. At least you have a room booked.
