Do children need photo ID's also? if so, any tips on this? Thanks!

No,

They just need a certified copy of their birth certificate or a passport.

Depending on how old the kids are you may want to consider taking something.

I had my two (13 & 15) toss in their school photo IDs. We also used passports rather than birth certificates. The ship wasn't an issue but the airlines were!

My son (15 will be 16 on Aug. 1) is 6'3" and weighs in between 200-220. Twice he was asked for identification at the boarding gates and also as we were going through security at MCO the screener wanted to see his.

DD was asked once. It is really hard to tell exact ages with teens so I can see why they were asked - better safe than miss something.

If they are little I wouldn't worry about it unless you've decided on passports for everyone but you won't need those at the ports anyway. Just KTTW for everyone and photo IDs for adults.

Thanks guys! My step-son will be turning 13 on the cruise and I think I will go ahead and get him an ID card. Better to be safe than sorry ya know?
Thanks again!

Missleone, you might want to get a passport for him. It will be a good thing in the future. Also, be sure you have covered any permission you might need for his travel.

Enjoy!
