Groceries at WDW

I have found goodings to be overpriced, it seems that Publix or Wal-Mart are much less expensive.

Anyone that can confirm or deny that for me

the others but, found Wal-mart's prices close to what we pay at home.

Goodings in ridiculous! The others are the same as NJ. Walmart had a better selection than the other two.

We've given up on Goodings because their prices are obscene.

There's a Publix located very close to Sea World (maybe a 10 minute drive from the Disney area) that has great prices and a much better selection than Goodings!

We saved SO MUCH MONEY by buying stuff from Publix and storing it in a cooler in our room.

Walmart had great prices but was very crowded. Publix had good prices and was much less crowded (and many more of them around). Our house was not 3 blocks from walmart so that was where we shopped.

I found Publix over priced !!!! and things like grapes were prepackaged,so I couldn't choose the ripeness I like???

The Super Wal-Mart was great. WE loved the fresh made 4 ft sandwich,for $4.99!! we took it back to hotel cut it in 3" sections and feasted!!

Where is the walmart? Is it close to WDW? Could you take a cab there?

Walmart is on 192 close to KFC at the WDW end

Publix I think is good on prices and stock fresh cooked ham, chicken, beef etc.

I like both of these stores and both are cheaper than the UK!!

Directions from Crossroads to Publix and Wal*Mart.
At the light at Crossroads, take a right (you will be on rte. 535.) follow this for about 4-5 miles. You will see Publix at the intersection of rte. 192 and 535. It will be on the left.
To go to Wal*Mart, follow the above directions and take a left onto 192, follow for about 2-3 miles, Wal*Mart will be on the right, immediately after Midievil Times theatre.
Wal*Mart is open 24 hours. Not sure about Publix.
Publix prices are decent, however, Wal*Mart tends to be 10-15% less.
We will not discuss Goodings as I think they are too outrageous to give any creedence to. :(

We'll be coming from the airport - is Walmart out of the way - you know how anxious the kids (OK and us) will be. Can you calrify coming from the South access of MCO? Then on to Epcot resort area?

Is Goodings really bad??

Coming from the south side of the airport via the Greenway there is a brand new Super Wal*Mart on John Young. Not sure, however, which direction from the Greenway. :(
However, if you are still interested in the Kissimmee one, take the Greenway to rte. 535, take a left, follow that to 192, take a left and it will be on the right approx. 2-3 miles down, still right beside Midievil Times.

I think the John Young Wal*Mart would be much better in terms of anxious kids.
As to Goodings, I think they are outrageous, much higher than good ole CT is. And, that is darn high.
I believe you can get some excellent directions to walmarts everywhere by accessing their web site, www.walmart.com.
