I have two park hopper tickets (adult) with two days left on each one. We are going back for Labor Day week for a five day trip. Will Disney let me upgrade those to a four or five day pass and pay the difference or will I just have to buy a couple of one day tickets for my husband and I?
Thanks for any help!

You can upgrade...you have to go to the main ticket booth at one of the parks. Have a great trip!!!

Yes you can upgrade but it depends on how old those park hopper tickets are. You might be better off just to use them. If they are newer then trade them in.

They prorate the ticket based on what you paid.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I didn't think anyone had responded because my email notification wasn't letting me know (strange). Anyway, the tickets are just from the last week in May (this year) so I'll probably go ahead and upgrade when I get to the parks. Thanks again!

I would take a few minutes and research this further. I know there was a price increase since you bought. I also don't know if you bought from Disney direct or a reseller. The tickets are coded so you will only get credit based on what you paid. Since you have to do this on-site, you will also pay slightly more as you will not get a prepurchase ticket. (A 5 day advanced purchase is $217, on-site is $239)
I have a feeling you will probably come out ahead using what you have but I am not sure.
Good luck

I was just at Epcot a few weeks ago and I had 4 separate 4 day hopper passes 2 from 1984 and 2 from 1986. Each pass had one day left on them. The 2 from 84 had my picture and my son's (who is now 16) The other two from 86 had no pictures on them. I asked at Guest services in Epcot if I could add those days left to our 3 day hopper passes that we currently had for this trip. The guy had no problem and there was no extra charge. LOL regarding my sons old hopper pass, he wasn't with us on this trip so I actually passed off my friends 16 year old daughter as the kid in the picture on hopper pass. LOL thank goodness they both have blonde hair and dark eyes. My friends daughter kept saying "MOM I can't believe you cut my hair so short to make me look like a boy when I was a kid" LOL

MZCohen - I think the difference is you were just consolidating tickets, not trying to upgrade to add more days.

No I actually did turn my4 - 3 day hopper passes into 4 day hopper passes. Thus I added 1 more day.

I bought the passes at the Disney Store here in Raleigh, I suppose they can't upgrade them there huh? Either way, I like the convenience of the hoppers in that we can go from park to park on the same day, so I'll probably skip the idea of single day tickets as an add on.
Thanks for all the replies!

No, we do not have the technology. We can not read the passes to see how many days are left on them, either. We just sell 'em and activate 'em. Sorry! :D

I think you have your dates mixed up. The park hoppers that had the photos printed onto them were only sold from early '94 to early 1996. If you had one with your son's photo on it from '84 he'd have to be at least 21 by now (18 years ago plus he had to be 3 for the ticket). ;)

If I understand what you are saying correctly, you had a new 3 day PH that you asked to add the one left over day from your old passes to on a single ticket, thus making a 4 day PH on one ticket and costing you no additional money. If you found a CM to do this for you, you were very lucky as this is strictly prohibited. Not only should you have been charged the price difference between the 1994 price and today's gate price but the combining of days from multiple passes regardless of where or when they were purchased without upgrading is a big no-no for a CM. You did nothing wrong but the CM did big time.
