Using FOTL before check-in time?

I've read on these boards that you must show your room key for FOTL access. Check in time is 3pm at Hard Rock. How do we use FOTL before 3 pm? Also, how do we use FOTL after check out at 11 am?

Rash - your room might not be ready, but they will issue room keys that you can use for FOTL on the day of check-in thru the closing of the parks on day of check-out. They'll tell you what time your room will be ready and then you'll just check in with registration to obtain your room number.
