Has anybody stayed here and can you give me any input on this Hotel. I heard it was fairly new so I'm hoping it's clean. We're staying on-site at the Polynesian and then 2 nites here, just hoping it's nice. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

I haven't stayed there yet. We will be there 1 night this weekend. (couldn't get on-site hotel I wanted for that night when I had to change travel plans) I did a search on the old site a while ago and it had all good reports on Comfort Suites Maingate East so we thought we would try it. I'll post how it was when I get back.

My family of 5 recently stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East a couple of weeks ago for 1 night. The room was HUGE and very, very clean (and I am a clean freak). The decor in the hotel and rooms is very bright and cheery. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on future visits. The breakfast buffet and a variety of cold foods to choose from, plus pancakes and waffles. The swimming pool was immaculate, and the staff very helpful. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Have fun :)

on the hotel on this site. I, too, have heard fairly good reports on this property. On the mouseplanet.com site you can look under the trip report section and there is a review section for off-site Orlando area hotels. There are probably some for this property.

We hadust returned form there a few days ago. We stayed 7 nights. It was a very nice hotel and the staff was great.
We used the shuttles. For the most part they were good but do expect to have any where from certain 1/2 hour to 1 hour travel time for the shuttle picks up at different hotel also. And do not be surprised to have to stand the bus gets full.
Ask at the front desk if they have any food coupons on place to eat in the area, they gave us some for free drinks and stuff.

Thanks for your replies. We won't be using the shuttle buses from the hotel, so this is not a problem for us. When we leave Disney, we are doing other things. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. I hope I like it as much as you guys. It's hard to pick a place to stay when you don't know anyone who has stayed there; and there are SO many choices. I feel better after reading the posts. Thanks again.

mamabear3710,

Stayed at Comfort Suites Maingate East this weekend. We are now at the Beach Club. Don't worry!! You won't have the theming and convinence of on-site but as you are not doing Disney things it shouldn't matter. The pool is just a regular pool and the lobby isn't fancy but the rooms are clean and new looking. They have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. I am a bit picky (alright alot) and we would stay there again.

Dear Mattsmom,

I've been waiting for your return. Thanks so much for reassuring me. Don't care much about the lobby, just the cleanliness of the rooms. I really appreciate the time you took to write. Hope you had a wonderful time. Thanks again.
