To be forum correct I need to talk about gardening first. Finally a week of great weather, although I'm behind on the gardening I'm moving along. I will finally be getting my mulch this week. All the gardens have had to be re-aerated because of the heavy rain we've had.

Now for the exciting part. I talked about collecting antiques before. DH took home a piece this weekend that I'm thrilled with. He buys and sell, except when I confiscate. I confiscated this weekend big time. A mahogany corner unit, with a bonnet top and bottom. It need very little work, a light buffing and a little touch-up.

While he moaning and groaning because I'm keeping. I now have to think about doing the living room over, and making room for my new addition. :bounce:

Oh, it sounds lovely...both the garden and the piece!

How wonderful! I just love aerating and confiscating! :teeth:

Could you confiscate some good stuff for me, too, Mamu??? I won't ask you to aerate because it sounds like you have your hands full.

"To be forum correct...." LOL..Mamu...do you think Nat might turn us in? ;):)

Where's that digital camera of yours? I'd love to see a pic of your new corner unit! :) A new piece of furniture can lead to a whole new room....hmmm....I'll have to try that!

I'm glad you're so pleased!!! :bounce: :)

Pictures are coming soon. It's an Olympus and I love it. Been taking lots of pictures.

The only problem is I have to go to DD house and download the pic's. I can't do that at home, and I'm still learning how to use the camera. Learning how to adjust the color and lighting. For every 3 I take I erase 2. Trying to get the color correct. I am learning and I do have some aweome pic's.

Goody a neat find.Sounds great, can't wait to see pics. Whatcha gonna put in it? I have a great bowed little oak china cabinet I refinished that was a similar find. My father was an antique dealer in NY and whenever I went into the shop he would roll his eyes as I confiscated. I loved it, and he didn't mind too much.
oh yea the forum ... you sound like you're farther ahead in the garden than I am.
Today I tried to catch up but I'm way behind. My mulch is still sitting there waiting.

Wow! Congratulations Mamu. Sounds like you are a lady with many talents. Therefore, don't worry if the digital camera talent part comes to you slowly. While I love looking at photos posted on the internet - it is a bit of a chore (at least for me) so I triply appreciate when people make the effort to do same!
