I know this is a stupid question but here goes....

Our flights to WDW were cancelled shortly before take-off. Delta very efficiently rebooked us on USAir. We arrived very close to our scheduled Delta arrival. My question: Do you think if I ask Delta will give us our frequent flyer miles for that portion of the flight? I purchased Delta tickets and due to a mechanical problem, I was forced to use USAir (I don't travel on USAir so I don't have a frequent flyer number). Should I bother to ask Delta? Is this unheard of?

Just trying to maximize ourfrequent flyer miles for WDW!

This is far from unheard of and I have never had a problem with Delta crediting me these miles when I sent them an e-mail asking for them.

I'll give it a try. Hate to waste 1,000 miles.

I've gotten miles from both US and DL for the same flight when my US flight was canceled and they accommodated me on DL.

Remember this it never hurts to ask. I too like Bicker was credited with miles from both carriers when my flt was cancelled and I got put onto another carrier.

You'll receive credit for the carrier you're put on - provided you have a frequent flyer
account with that carrier, give it to them when the new ticket is issued otherwise you'll
get the miles but you'll have to play catch-up.......you can request the carrier that
cancelled provide miles - they probably will.....Greg

I had the same issue with a Delta flight that was cancelled on April 28th. I was rebooked on a us air flight. When I received my statement the miles were not credited to my delta account. I called the sky miles reservation number and they had my account credited. Give them a call.
