Question about checking in

When checking into DVC resorts at WDW, should we still get all the parks maps, transportation schedule, what's happening info, etc? My husband arrived at BWV first and checked in, but didn't receive anything. I didn't go back to ask at the desk since I already know most of it, but it would be nice to have it. Did they just forget to give it to him, or don't DVC members get it?

I believe that all of the maps are in a display in the lobby. So, if you didn't get them, its easy enough to pick them up yourself. However, you should get some info when checking in, including the current list of discounts, etc.

When we've checked in, we've rec'd a "quilted" folder w/ maps, trans info and discounts avail to DVC members. I would ask at the front desk.

We received the same 'quilted' folder in March. It was chok full of material.

When we checked in at OKW 2 weeks ago, we got the quilted folder. Included was the World Update (park hours), DVC member discount sheet, Transporation Guide, Dining Guide (Am Ex), OKW Newsletter & resort map. Park Maps are usually at Guest Services.

Sounds like I should've gone down to guest services and asked. Oh well, I'll know for next time! Thanks for all your replies.
